Fantasy Premier League managers face a tough choice over the season run-in regarding players they have trusted for returns for most of the campaign.

Well-owned and usually reliable players, like Raul Jimenez (£8.3m) at Wolves and Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) at Liverpool, are starting to look laboured in matches. Speaking of labour, Mrs Jimenez is due to give birth soon, which will give the Mexico striker’s owners further anxiety of starts, albeit for understandable reasons.

Joe is joined by Az and Andy to ponder what to do with ‘broken shields’ like Jimenez and Salah, who are no longer protecting FPL managers’ ranks as they have done previously.

Elsewhere, there is an array of low-owned and kindly priced ‘swords’ already helping to boost ranks. Young starlets such as Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood (£4.6m) and City’s Phil Foden (£5.4m) are attracting considerable interest from our trio.

Joe and Andy are considering the previously unthinkable and ditching the likes of Salah. Az has gone one step further, jettisoning the Liverpool midfielder already to stock up on assets from the Manchester clubs. This latest episode considers the ideal triple-ups from the red and blue halves of Manchester.

Spurs have an enticing fixture against whipping boys Bournemouth in Gameweek 34. What can possibly go wrong when transferring in and captaining Jose Mourinho’s troops in an easy-on-paper fixture? Our trio weighs up the merits of cherry-picking defences over the next few Gameweeks.

Az takes his turn to pick a differential. There are clean sheets over the season run-in to focus on and our Scoutcast trio reveal their transfer and captain plans.

Nah. Never going to be leaks for all 10 games, impossible to predict who will perform in last game chaos imo.

Excited for 36. Chelsea vs Norwich, Ings, Vardy, Everton defence. Free spin of the Pep roulette.

I don't think we need to rely on leaks to get a decent team out.

Hi...stuck at 100k. Keen to roll the dice with my 2fts....1 boring option. 1 less boring .....which to go for??

    Hendo Mccarthy
    Taa maguire soy boly Stephens
    Salah kdb bruno martial mahrez
    Jiminez dcl nketiah

A...maguire, dcl and jiminez to cresswell greenwood and kane - 4

B....maguire and nketiah to aurier and greenwood (duller but perhaps more sensible)

    Thanks

Option A would be the rank climb dice roll. B is the safe option.
      Another option; DCL/Maguire > Greenwood/Laporte?

close between Ings and Jimi, else is pretty good. I have Aurier, not sure about that Spurs def, i think i would might go Azpi (or you could go for an upgrade on williams to someone like Cresswell who covers Aurier when he has tough games.

    Hi guys,

200k rank and looking for some punts for the remainder of the season. Current team is too template to climb up the rankings, so trying to find something new to really shake things up. Going downhill doesn't really bother me. 1.3 ITB.

    Pope (McCarthy)
Maguire - AWB - Doherty (Holgate - Lascelles)
    Salah - KDB - Martial - Bruno - Mahrez
    Jimenez - DCL - Connolly

    How about
    A) Salah & Connolly to Antonio & Kane -4
    B) Connolly & Maguire to Greenwood & Aurier -4 (seem like good transfers but maybe too template?)
    C) Save FT and try again next GW

Where do we stand on Grealish? Been looking at some comments on Facebook and Twitter and seems like the overwhelming majority don't rate him and think he's a diver which is strange because to me this season he has stepped it up to the point where he's been one of the best players on the pitch almost any time I've seen him play and I think he easily has what it takes to play for a top club

I think the people criticising him right now in 1-2 years time will be calling him world class, and the comments I saw were simply because we live in the "banter" era and we always seem to build up our own just to tear them down

Excellent player, talented and also works his socks off which is not common for players like him. I´m not sure where his best position is, as i think he is not good enough defensively in a 3 man midfield, as an inverted 10 from left seems to be his best position but most top teams plays with faster and pacier wingers these days. Arsenal lacks a bit of creativity and gile in midfield so maybe suits him, Chelsea perhaps, but will fight against fellow talents like Mount etc. He is not going to Liverpool but as a fan i would love him to go there, as a Coutinho like player just with more pace and better work rate.

everton are a different species than bou at the moment so while i was hoping for a pen or a lucky strike from twenty yards that was not a game with high expectation. Bou hopefully 2 returns, then he is feck off and into Vardy

How am I looking for this GW?
Currently, my focus is to ship Rashford out and bring in Greenwood.

Would you agree or would you go for 5 midfielders?

    Patricio
    TAA Doherty Basham
    KDB Mahrez Bruno Martial
    Jiminez Rashford Nketiah

    Leno Grealish Mings Egan

Rash will come good , grealish is a worry

Surely Nketiah/Grealish is a far bigger issue than Rashford. Upgrade one of them, loads of options.

Is Mahrez a risky captain pick, due to possible rotation and/or reduced minutes?

Other candidates are son, Bruno, martial, William, rash and ings

    Cheers

I think he is a good captain choice.

not a single clue in the replies to you on this one, let alone conclusive. Safe one is Bruno, if you want a risky one go Mahrez. i have Mahrex and very happy with that but like martial i gladly take his 20 pointers now and then but i would not consider giving the armband unless you get the line ups from FPL Rockstar before the deadline which you won´t.

G2G here? Managed to squeeze in Kane but keep all the other big hitters
    0FT 0.2ITB
    DDG
    TAA Doherty Aurier
    Salah KDB(c) Fernandes Martial Foden
    Kane Jimenez

    Martin - Kiko Connolly Simpson

Looking at maybe doing Doherty, Jimenez > Vardy, Saiss next gw as well

Lot of big hitters there, I'd prefer Auba over Kane but that's just me

I immediately jumped off Auba after a 32 point captaincy haul. Kane will outscore him next 3 i'm pretty confident of that

playing the end of the season very aggressive to try stay ahead of the curve and get off players at the right time. Working great so far

Ya well go with your gut if it's served you well so far. Both equally likely to haul, would work out great for you if you have Aubas 32 plus a Kane haul v BOU upcoming

after bou i would have someone else than kane too, preferably Vardy and then perhaps a Jesus punt.

Any desperate changes to make or hold out for 2 FT's?

    Pope (Button)
Holgate / TAA / Doherty (Taylor / Lascelles)
Willian / Bruno / KDB / Salah (Foden)
    Rash / DCL / Greenwood

I did want Kane due to fixtures coming up but not sure after last night. Maybe I should get AWB or Aurier to boost defence a bit?

Hows the bank looking? Maybe go Doherty > Saiss, Rashford > Vardy/Kane

        Healthy, 4.4 ITB

Ideally I want to keep Rash, DCL is the likely loss if I wanted Kane or Vardy

100% play Foden over DCL this week btw. Tbh I'd probaly just hold.

          Actually is holgate not injured?

Cheers will do, was 50/50 on that. Holgate is flagged, haven't properly read up on the extend of it yet. I think I'll hold one more week

      A

Reece James might be a better differential, much better attacking threat than Azpi, especially when Azpi is playing on the left

    Pulisic Rashford to KDB Greenwood?

Will wait till the City and UTD GW34 matches are done. KDB benchings the issue for me though.
