Olivier Giroud (£6.7m) finds himself on the Chelsea bench for the Gameweek 35+ trip to Sheffield United.

That will be of huge frustration to his increasing ownership and those looking to him as a differential option.

The Frenchman had scored in each of his last two outings, both of which were starts, but will have to watch Tammy Abraham (£7.4m) lead the line from the sidelines today.

That arguably places a question mark over Giroud’s credentials for the Gameweek 36+ meeting with Norwich, which may have been on the radar for anyone considering a reshuffle of their Fantasy forward line.

Meanwhile, Willian (£7.3m) and Christian Pulisic (£7.3m) remain reliable starters, each one positioned either side of Abraham for the trip to Sheffield United.

The 13.7%-owned Mason Mount (£6.1m) retains his place in the side, making his fifth start from a possible six since the Premier League restart.

Meanwhile, John Lundstram (£4.6m) is on the bench for Sheffield United once again, Chris Wilder opting to keep his central midfield trio the same as Gameweek 34+.

That means further starts for Oliver Norwood (£4.7m), Sander Berge (£4.7m) and Ben Osborn (£4.7m).

David McGoldrick (£5.4m) comes back into the team following a fitness test, forcing Billy Sharp (£5.3m) back onto the bench.

Sheffield United XI (3-5-2): D Henderson; O’Connell, Egan, Basham; Stevens, Osborn, Norwood, Berge, Baldock; McBurnie, McGoldrick.

Chelsea XI (4-3-3): Kepa; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, R James; Mount, Jorginho, Barkley; Pulisic, Abraham, Willian.

Good stuff from Wilder but poor from Lampard. Wilder exploiting known Chelsea defensive weakness but Lampard playing the wrong defenders at the start and failing to realise that ugly physical battles have to be won against The Blades. IMO Giroud should have certainly started this game.

I started Alonso because I really thought it was obvious for Lampard to play 3 at the back.

      Obviously not obvious enough.

Been looking at my captain picks this season for fun and thought I’d share (happy to have Vardy back for Monday!)
10 different players used. Pulisic might be my 11th different choice next week.
18 Successful picks and 16 fails doesn’t look great to me but actually 460 points from C picks and VC picks would have only returned 392 so that’s a win. What I’m really happy with is 9 times my Captain has returned 22 points or more. My rank is now 50k after 4 red arrows in a row.

Salah 5 out of 7 successful picks
    Kane 3 out of 7
    Sterling 1 out of 6
    Vardy 4 out of 5
    Abraham 0 out of 3
De Bryune 2 out of 2
    Martial 1 out of 2
    Auba 1 out of 1
    Aguero 1 out of 1
    Fernandes 0 out of 1

    Things learnt,
Sterling was awful earlier in the season!
I had Fernandes at exactly the wrong time since the restart!
I had a fear of picking a proven midfielder I.e De Bruyne over my strikers like Kane/Abraham with the best fixtures that week. This only really worked with Vardy when on a goal scoring run in the middle of the season.

I know not really sure what happened there. It was in the middle of the season. I think he just kept playing the easiest teams and he’d done alright for me before that! Luckily Vardy took over and rescued my season!
