Ings and Maupay passed fit but named on the bench for Brighton v Southampton

A match between Brighton and Hove Albion and Southampton looks like a fairly low-key end to Gameweek 11 on paper but there is still plenty of interest in this fixture from a Fantasy perspective.

The second most-popular goalkeeper in Fantasy Premier League, Alex McCarthy (£4.6m), starts between the posts for the visitors, while five other players with double-digit FPL ownerships also feature in tonight’s clash on the south coast.

Kick-off at the Amex is at 20:00 GMT.

The team news is fairly straightforward, with only one change between the two clubs from the line-ups we saw in Gameweek 10.

Tariq Lamptey (£4.8m) is back from a one-match ban and replaces forward Neal Maupay (£6.2m), who has recovered from a minor injury but finds himself among the substitutes.

It’s hardly a like-for-like swap and it’ll necessitate a reshuffle from Graham Potter, with Joel Veltman (£4.3m) moving to centre-half and Ben White (£4.4m) pushed into midfield.

Despite tasting defeat against Manchester United last weekend, Ralph Hasenhuttl sticks with the same Southampton side that began that 3-2 loss at St Mary’s.

There are a few notable returnees among the Saints substitutes, with Nathan Redmond (£6.4m) and Mohamed Salisu (£4.3m) available after fitness issues and making the matchday squad.

The headline news is the inclusion of Danny Ings (£8.3m) on the visitors’ bench, with the England international making a playing comeback after a month on the sidelines.

Hasenhuttl said of Ings ahead of kick-off:

Definitely [could get minutes], yes. Could also be a possibility from the beginning but I don’t like to start with players when I know I have to sub them, it limits me in the options I have.

He can always jump in and help us, it’s always good when you have players like him and Reddy on the bench.

    DCL > Ings is looking quite a nice switch at some point. I have other priorities but in a few weeks I can see that move happening.

      Thinking of ziyech and bruno to salah and jwp for -4
      I know everyone will tell me not to sell bruno but i just feel it is wrong to sell vardy against brighton to get the funds for salah, so the only route is sell bruno

      I know after that bruno fixtures are easy like sheffield for eg but maybe after that then see how to get him back?

        In a similar situation. Don't think I can sell Vardy now and Bruno is the next best option. But even then it's -4 now and -4 to get him back at some point. I'll probably just risk it and go without.

      107 (-4) all out - one of the most bizarre game weeks I’ve ever had.

      I really wasn’t happy with my team, I didn’t want Zaha or Son, and wasn’t convinced Salah would score. Only KDB filled me with confidence. Ridiculous seeing every game my players each get 1-2 goals and assists.

            Right now DCL and Robbo give you no reason to drop them. Jota perhaps but if you can’t own Salah - and Jota plays - you have a relatively cheap appeasement in him.

              Cheers for the advice.
              Think I might pull the trigger, Eve have tough fixtures and aren't looking great. Liv have great fixtures so think Jota to Salah should see a lot of benefit. Robbo has got me a lot of 2pters recently, so has given reason to lose him IMO. Tough one, but might do it for fun, wish me luck!

      Steer to Kelleher went well. Getting the highest GK scorer of gameweek for free genuinely feels so good. Because I pulled the trigger quite fast I also didn't think about hit(s) which could possibly involve selling Spurs players if I went into the full biased fan mode. Good decision but it took my 3rd Liverpool place for two weeks.

      Hopefully he plays against Fulham and Alisson isn't risked yet. Another clean sheet would be awesome and then it's Martinez time again!

                      I made value on players in between weeks and sold on profit too. So i got extra money from there as well. Players like Justin, cancelo, ziyech, mahrez, vardy etc. And Kane, DCL, Hamez the big ones. Have a 0.1 profit each on robbo and adams too. Maybe there were more but i can't remember them.

              Im going without. Thinking of just sticking with my front 7 and using extra 2.5 to do Adams to Ings by downgrading Robbo to a rotating 4.5 depending on who plays Burnley, Sheffield, or WestBrom. That could probably match or outscore Robertson over the season with enough 6 pointers.
