Fantasy Premier League managers face a difficult choice for the Blank Gameweek 18 captaincy.

Even before Monday’s fixture rearrangements for Spurs, Fulham and Aston Villa, differentiating between Kevin De Bruyne (£11.7m) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.3m) was proving challenging for many.

Now that Harry Kane (£11.0m) and Son Heung-min (£9.8m) have been handed a favourable home fixture against underprepared opposition the debate has been thrown wide open.

More than ever, Fantasy managers need some help with the armband, which is where the Captain Sensible article comes in.

As always, we will look into the best options’ underlying statistics, comparing them against the defensive data of their upcoming opponents using the Fantasy Football Scout Premium Members Area.

Anyone thinking of bypassing a Liverpool player all together for DGW? The fixtures aren’t the greatest imo...Man Utd first fixture obviously isn’t easy and Burnley if anything can defend, Burnley as you know will be the second fixture so Pool players won’t be fresh if not rotated and not in form, Pope In form don’t forget...any thoughts on this lads?

Yes, I am set up for dgw19 with no Liverpool.

Is that because you had to make that compromise to work with your chip strategy or you made that conscious decision based on similar reasons to mine?

          Similar reasons.
Did Robbo and Salah out for Cancelo and De Bruyne -4.
Rather have kdb and Cancelo for 3 games (potentially) than the other 2 for 2 (and those fixtures).
Could downgrade Vardy to get one back in but with your reasoning I'm not going to atm.

Yeah I’m on the verge of completely bypassing too. It’s always scary not to have either Salah or Mané (a Pool player in general) but if we’ve learnt anything this year it’s to go with form.

I'm only scared of Salah and Robbo but after being let down last game I'm prepared to risk it.
Might end in tears lol but we can't cover all bases.

I guess just go with your gut eh! My guts telling me to decide based on form etc

So because of the same factos United have a difficult fixture in 18?

Well first of all Fernandes is in form along with Rashford and probably Martial and secondly Fulham are weaker defensively so it’s not the same in my opinion

Fulham are weaker defensively than Burnley I mean

The only affordable 5th mids would be either Neto or Traore and I'm not so tempted to Wolves-Everton match..

ESR and Gündogan both in form, Man City have the easier fixture, ESR allows funds else where...dunno dude hard decision, take a punt, go with your gut

Definitely hard decision,I don't trust Arsenal defence but I hope for Tierney attacking returns lol

I've had a punt on Gündogan - why not it's a one off.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking...it’s a one off and he’s in form as you probably know...I’m just not confident in Arsenal keeping a clean sheet so you’d be banking on an attacking return from Tierney...dunno dude, hard decisions eh!

So torn between using free hit and WC, I got KDB for 11.6 using my free transfer coz I knew using a chip would remove it anyway but he’s at 11.8 now!!! Aaargh and like I said earlier, contemplating bypassing Pool all together...my heads done in lmao

I've gone triple City for the first time in a long time, currently KDB (c)

With that in mind, i'm thinking spread the risk and cap Fernandes instead

Fernandes is on a better run but i'm just not sure. Why is everyone so nailed on KDB?

Darlow or Lloris in goal? Was orginally going to go with Darlow but now with the fixture change maybe Lloris is the best bet?

What’s the secret to this season then? Spread squad value as much as possible and around players from different clubs?

I suppose you have to ditch your usual approach and play this season as a one off.

Salah and Saka to KDB and Soucek for a -8 hit?
