Manchester City can offer a wealth of viable options at both ends of the pitch for Double Gameweek 24.

The question is, of course, how many should Fantasy Premier League managers invest in and which assets are the best to consider.

We have run the rule over the form of Pep Guardiola’s men, the data behind their upcoming opponents and picked out some key statistics behind certain individuals.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Premium Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

THE FORM

Manchester City have been the kings of the form charts over the winter period.

After a stuttered start to the campaign, their last 12 matches have been a display of imperious superiority compared to the rest of the Premier League.

During that period they have won 10 games, drawn two, been the only side in the division to go unbeaten and amassing 32 points, at least seven more than anyone else.

Double Gameweek 24 teams: Fulham - best FPL players, form, fixtures and XXX

Furthermore, Guardiola’s men have conceded on just three occasions (0.3 per game) and their total of 26 goals is bettered only by Manchester United, who had more than a few mitigating circumstances go their way in the 9-0 win over Southampton.

Considering Manchester City are top of so many key metrics of late, the case for choosing three of their players for Double Gameweek 24 is strong indeed.

The more pressing question is perhaps whether or not Fantasy managers should double-up in defence or attack when it comes to Manchester City.

To answer that, it makes sense to take a closer look at their upcoming opponents…

Jesus, but I'd prefer a different City player and just bench DCL.

              I've done Salah > Sterling

Worth taking DCL out for a hit? or just leave and hope that he starts against City?

    Fernandes, Grealish,Gundogan,
    Antonio(?),DCL(?), Watkins

    Johnstone,Son, Coufal,Soucek 8.5m itb.

    If I save I’ll probably do Coufal,Soucek,Antonio >> Dallas,Raphinia,Bamford/Ings for -4 in 25.

Then DCL > Kane in 26.

I don't think so! I decided to HT it because I think it's interesting to compare the state of our team to what others have.

Particularly when many are considering hits for DGWers, knowing about where other teams are can positively inform our decisions.

    Martinez
    Cancelo Dias* Coufal
    Sterling Bruno Maddison Grealish

    Schmeichel, Soucek, Dallas, Chilwell.

Thinking Antonio will probably be ok, not sure on Chilwell minutes hence his position on bench. Will await news on DCL and Dias but will likely do DCL > Ings. If we get an update on Dias and it’s not good worth w hit to BUR DEF? Or play Chilwell/Dallas?

    Who to play this week

    A - Son
    B - Coufal
    C - bench the 2 above and do Mitchell to Tark/Mee -4?

    Thanks all!

Coufal beats the -4 option. But it might pay off over the next few weeks if burnley get another double

Who do you think will find form this GW, stepping up with a big score, and why?

Maybe someone who hasn’t scored well lately, has very low ownership, or is being broadly overlooked in the community.

Have you seen something in someone’s play or in their stats to make you think they could be ready for a breakout GW?

Extra points if you give a solid explanation for your pick!

      Sterling and Jesus.

Man City in form and full flow on the pitch, massive squad.

Sterling has form I'd say, but I agree he's a great pick. Possibly the top captaincy pick this GW!

As I can't get in a Burnley keeper or defender, I expect Mee or Tarks to keep 2 CS and nut in a goal.

Would ideally have one of Tarkowski or Mee, bu going with Lowton as will need funds for dgw26 attackers

This season is pretty much impossible to predict, but:

      Aubameyang

Arsenal need a response after their defeat to Villa. He’s back. Leeds at home. Massively overlooked because he’s not a SGW player. In fact, I haven’t seen a single mention of him lately

So undecided on what to do, the lack of confidence after 3 straight red arrows is obvious. Pretty sure DCL is out so will bench him for now. 1 FT and 1.7 itb

    Mccarthy
    Stones Cresswell Cancelo
    Salah Son Gundogan Bruno Grealish
    Antonio Bamford

    Johnstone DCL Coufal Ayling

    A. Johnstone>Pope ( easy move no hit but stuck with a 5.5 burnley player)
    B. Stones and Son > Lowton and Sterling(C) -4 ( feels wrong getting rid of one dgw for antother but the upside with sterling (C) is huge)
    C. Johnstone and Coufal > Pope and lowton -4 (play lowton over son/cresswell.

Bit lost what to do? Need third city player also have 2 players who are confirmed injured. (Zaha & Wilson + DCL ) 1FT 0.1 itb

    POPE
    CANCELO - Coufal - Maguire
    Salah - GUNDO (C?) - Mount - Bruno
    Wilson* DCL* - Bamford
    Martinez - Dallas - Robertson - Zaha*

    A) Zaha & Wilson -> Foden & Watkins -4 (DCL to Ings next week)
    B) Zaha & Robertson -> Lookman & Stones -4
    C) Salah & Zaha & Wilson -> Sterling (c) & Lookman & Richarlison -8
    D) something else, considering

I expect Digne and Antonio to be fit for the GW. If DCL is out, what option would you pick?

    A. Bench DCL and play Cresswell or Soucek. Roll 2nd FT
    B. Transfer DCL out for Watkins or Kane

    1FT 5.7itb
    Pope
    Cancelo Stones Digne
    Salah Bruno Gundo Raphinha
    Bamford Antonio DCL
    (Martinez Soucek Cresswell Holding)

What shall I do here? For the first time in weeks I'm properly stumped.. 3 players flagged, 8.6m in the bank and 1FT, any ideas?

    Martinez
    Stones - Dias - Shaw
    Salah - Bruno - Soucek - Gundo
    Antonio - DCL - Bamford

    Meslier - Raphina - Coufal - Dier

Better to roll your FT and use your bench. I would definitely start Raphinha over Soucek

Have a feeling foden will have a big DGW!! Is dias + grealish ,> foden and keane silly? For a -4, it sounds silly when I say it but my gut is saying foden (c)

Don't like losing Grealish when Villa will most likely have a double in 26 and a game in 29

    Plan:

    - use 2 tfs this week on DGW24 picks/sort out possible injuries to DCL/Dias/Antonio

    - WC for DGW25, nice mix of SOU/LEE players with the rest DGW26ers

    - BB DGW26 with 13/14 dgwers for a -4

    - use FTs up until BGW29 to get out a team of around 9 players

    Sound good? No FH/TC left.

Seems a solid plan. I'm in a similar boat, but keeping WC & TC in tact. Currently hovering the 20k mark.

      I too have DCL,Antonio,Dias & Justin

My plan if it helps at all

24 - Play what I've got, no transfers, go into doubles with just 2 City & 1 Burnley (Obvs if the above miraculously recovered I'd have Dias & DCL too) Think there will be a lot of hits taken this week and chips burned. I'd rather take a bit of a nose dive for the sake of 1 week.

25- 2FTs in hand - Only use one Antonio > Bamford would have 3DGWs

      26 - 2FTs in hand 3 or 4 transfers (up to -8) play BB

Then build for 8 or so players for 29.

Keep WC & TC use at latter date.

Again sorry if this don't help but the are some similarities in the approach.
