It is back to basics for Fantasy Premier League managers in Gameweek 28 as we face the first round without Doubles since Gameweek 23.

However, it must be said that the captaincy conversation has been thrown wide open by this week’s fixtures.

Manchester City face a Fulham defence that has improved in recent months, Liverpool are out of form, Manchester United face a West Ham side gunning for Europe while Spurs prepare for a north London derby.

As ever, the Captain Sensible article is here to help with your Gameweek 28 captaincy decision. As this uses extensive data from the Fantasy Football Scout Premium Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

CAPTAIN POLL

Harry Kane (£11.3m, 26.5% of votes) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.5m, 24.2%) are the leaders in this week’s poll, combining for over 50.0% of our users’ votes.

Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m, 8.5%) has been voted third this week, although with the Belgian international now having started in each of City’s previous five league games, this number could drop by Saturday morning due to rotation fears.

Ilkay Gungodan (£6.2m, 4.9%) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.7m, 4.2%) close out the top five.

    Next 3 games for Spurs are away games...

    They have only scored more than 1 goal away from home on ONE occasion since gw5.

    Hardly a good sign to load up on Spurs attack...

    1. Areola -> Forster (Other 4.0m) to save funds.
    2. Burn -> Veltman (Better underlyings)
    3. Something else. Was thinking Cancelo out but surely need to wait now.

    2 ft's. 0.1m ITB. No chips remaining.

        Yeah- but it wouldnt matter that he plays or not. The idea is to have as cheap a back up keeper as possible and just rely on 1 gk.

        Have always done this really but after BB- I am on 2 playing keepers.

      Burn to Veltman seems a huge sideways move for me - you might as well roll then you can make 2 next week to get to 10 starters for no hit.

      Antonio, since he's a bit fixture proof and Watkins without Grealish seems pretty blunt upfront.

      Raphinha v Bamford is a tough one. Having the same dilemna.
      Bamf on pens but not on form v Raphinha on form but probably relying on Bamf to score the goals that he creates.

      I think so. Suggested KDB -> sterling for free with the armband yesterday and got laughed out of town.

      Quick turnaround to Tuesday night CL. League basically wrapped up against a team sitting 18th (yes they look good now but can’t see anytning but a city rout at the cottage)

      Sterling, Jesus, Aguero, Torres, Foden, all hardly played.

      Can see a rest.

          I am taking a huge risk on Sterling, surely he will start as he was rested last game... My last few bets have paid off with 130 captaincy points in last 5 GWs (lucky that most of them were DGWs)

                  I understand the penalty taking appeal but Raphinha looks far better prospect than Bamford each time I watch them. I may be benching Raphinha this GW and would probably hide behind sofa if I do that
