It is back to basics for Fantasy Premier League managers in Gameweek 28 as we face the first round without Doubles since Gameweek 23.

However, it must be said that the captaincy conversation has been thrown wide open by this week’s fixtures.

Manchester City face a Fulham defence that has improved in recent months, Liverpool are out of form, Manchester United face a West Ham side gunning for Europe while Spurs prepare for a north London derby.

As ever, the Captain Sensible article is here to help with your Gameweek 28 captaincy decision. As this uses extensive data from the Fantasy Football Scout Premium Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

CAPTAIN POLL

Harry Kane (£11.3m, 26.5% of votes) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.5m, 24.2%) are the leaders in this week’s poll, combining for over 50.0% of our users’ votes.

Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m, 8.5%) has been voted third this week, although with the Belgian international now having started in each of City’s previous five league games, this number could drop by Saturday morning due to rotation fears.

Ilkay Gungodan (£6.2m, 4.9%) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.7m, 4.2%) close out the top five.

      This is the NLD, this is arsenal and mourinho loves to beat them, kane loves to score against them, mourinho needs a top 4 finish, kane has a history against arsenal... only way he doesn’t start is if he’s got a major injury

        Rearrangement is unlikely to affect the DGWs much though. It would just mean the free midweek to absorb any remaining fixtures (probably just 2 postponements due to the FA Cup final) is in GW35 instead of 37.

            Right, so 2 extra fixtures in 35 and 2 blanks in 36. Maybe slightly bigger if they can't get TOT-SOU made up sooner.

            I guess the original schedule could have avoided the doubles/blanks entirely (by just moving the FA Cup postponements to midweek of the same GW). So at least we get a minor double this way.

    I think these are my best options, which option do you think is best for this week?

    A)Use 1FT to bring in Veltman ready for the blank game week, keep DCL and Salah this week, bring in Kane and Bale/Lingard next GW.
    B)Use 2FT DCL>Kane Salah>Saka and any other defender for BGW29
    C)-4 this week DCL>Kane, Salah>Bale and any defender for 5.2 or less

      It is a good move with the caveat that Salah could fire up, but if you expect Bale to it prob doesn't matter.
