Wilfried Zaha (£7.1m) returns to the Crystal Palace line-up as West Bromwich Albion come to Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Fantasy Premier League midfielder made a comeback from injury in the second half against Spurs in Gameweek 27 but today makes his first start since Gameweek 22.

The Ivory Coast international is expected to line-up as a centre-forward alongside Christian Benteke (£5.5m) given Jordan Ayew‘s (£5.6m) recent involvement on the flanks of midfield.

At 8.8% Fantasy ownership, Zaha is Selhurst Park’s most fashionable figure this afternoon considering Tyrick Mitchell (£3.8m), still in 12.9% of squads, is absent through injury.

Patrick van Aanholt (£5.4m) takes his place at left-back for the fourth successive Premier League match.

Despite a recent mild upturn in form, West Bromwich Albion assets remain differentials in the Fantasy community.

Sam Allardyce is becoming increasingly happy with his squad though. Since taking over the Baggies in Gameweek 14, he has used 27 different players but, at Crystal Palace, elects for an unchanged line-up from the side that drew 0-0 against Newcastle.

That means another out-of-position outing for FPL defender Ainsley Maitland-Niles (£4.6m), deployed alongside Conor Callagher (£5.5m) in central midfield with Matt Phillips (£5.1m) and Matheus Pereira (£5.4m) either side.

The Brazilian is still West Brom’s chief creator, playing 16 key passes during Allardyce’s reign although 30 players have created more over the same period.

As a result, despite his current points total of 88 proving second-only to Sam Johnstone (£4.5m) among West Brom options, Pereira is still only in 1.6% of Fantasy teams.

Gameweek 28 Line-ups

Crystal Palace XI (4-4-2): Guaita; van Aanholt, Cahill, Kouyaté, J Ward; Eze, Milivojevic, Riedewald, Ayew; Zaha, Benteke.

West Bromwich Albion XI (4-1-4-1): Johnstone; C Townsend, Bartley, O’Shea, Furlong; Yokuslu; M Phillips, Maitland-Niles, Gallagher, M Pereira; Diagne.

Gameweek 28 so far…

Those planning their squads for Blank Gameweek 29 were dealt a frustrating blow in Leeds’ lunch-time draw with Chelsea.

Patrick Bamford (£6.8m), still the game’s most fashionable forward (51.1% ownership) was forced off the field after just 34 minutes at Elland Road.

His owners will now be sweating on Bamford’s fitness between now and Friday’s Blank Gameweek 29 deadline, especially those attempting to tackle it without a Free Hit chip.

After Chelsea were hotly tipped to exploit Leeds in Gameweek 28, the game itself was not the goal-fest many hoped for.

Illan Meslier (£4.6m) emerged as the Fantasy hero with his clean sheet, eight saves and maximum bonus.

Meanwhile, Edouard Mendy (£5.1m) and Andreas Christensen (£4.7m) were the Chelsea options able to secure a share of bonus, the returning Antonio Rüdiger (£4.6m) just missing out.

Provisional bonus

  • 3 – Illan Meslier
  • 2 – Edouard Mendy
  • 1 – Andreas Christensen

    Good enough for 29?

    Meslier
    Cresswell, Dallas, Lascelles
    Son, ESR
    Watkins, Kane, Lacazette

Other option would be to FH and get Bale, and Auba

Clean sheet in 29, is this the right order of probability:

        • 9 Years

Wow! Yes. Correct. Was thinking of who to get for my FH team. Thinking of this:

        3 Spurs attackers
        2 Arsenal attackers
        2 West Ham attackers
1 each from Fulham, Leeds, Newcastle and Brighton in defense

        1. Moderately content penguin
          • 7 Years
          5 years, 3 months ago

That defence adds up to me if you want to spread risk and not go all in.

Logically Brighton should be cs kings and it is Newcastle after all. Sanchez in as my long term goalie would make so much sense if they actually performed.

          1. DARK SIDE OF THE LOON
            • 9 Years
            5 years, 3 months ago

I think I will go with a Newcastle keeper. Brighton shoot a lot but do not score enough. Should be a plenty of save points if not a CS.

It’s difficult to judge until they play in the same league. The German league is sub standard imo. You can see that by how a mid table English side easily knocked out their second best team in the Champions League recently. Saying that, I do like the look of Haaland from what I’ve seen of him.

The thing I dislike the most about the new scheduling is how awful the Saturday fixtures generally are.

The 3pm kickoff nowadays is the dud when it used to be the most exciting time with the most games. I'm most able to catch games on Saturday afternoon and these fixtures like CPL - WBA is just such a downer.

Nowadays Sundays has become the day for all the good games...

    Mendy
    Rudiger,Shaw,Coady,Dawson
    Fernandes,Aubamayang,Son,KDB,Gundogan
    Kane

    Forster,Watkins,Vydra,Veltman

Would be a 4-5-1 most weeks.
Watkins as back up in case of a Kane no show.

            Probably Kane.
Auba is tempting but West Ham look good.

It is, yes but im not going to spend a transfer now on making that change. Ill just hope Spurs win and Martinez can get me 2-4 points.

      Interesting call on Coady

I'd pop Jota in ahead of Gundo if only with a view to 33. It's not as it he's tearing up trees recently. Might consider Diagne over Watkins too if that got you Cresswell.

        Wolves player based on fixtures.
Gundo is is a steal at my 5.8m sell on price. Jota is a great shout but id have to find 0.8m from somewhere.

Cresswell would be nice too but i dont want benching headaches every week.

Gundo is a steal if he continues to score - he has one goal and one return in the last 6 matches. Otherwise he's just value.

Quite see why you want Coady. Had I WC I might follow you. The idea was whether Watkins to Diagne might fund Dawson to Cresswell.

Theres a massive 1.3m price difference between Dawson and Cresswell. Watkins > Diagne would only free up 0.3m.
Auba > cheaper player would allow these changes but Auba being there is a placeholder in case Liverpool get their act together.
I like the idea of Gundo > Jota though. See how they fare up to gw 31.
            Thanks.

I'm not a fan of taking too many hits but am I right in thinking it makes sense for a BGW?

Currently only 5 playing. Surely it makes sense to take a hit for attackers? Maybe less so for GK/Def as you are banking on a clean sheet to justify

Fair play if you have any defenders in this game. Absolute guaranteed points.
