Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur is the third of four Premier League matches to take place on Sunday.

Kick-off in the north London derby is at 16:30 GMT.

Much of the pre-match coverage has centred around Mikel Arteta’s surprise decision to omit Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.4m) from his starting XI.

We have seen the Gabon international, among others, rested after his exertions in Europe in recent weeks but today’s benching is instead for “disciplinary reasons”, rather than influenced by fatigue.

Mikel Arteta said ahead of kick-off:

He was going to start the game. We had a disciplinary issue, we have drawn the line and we move on. He’s on the bench.

We have a process that we have to respect for every game, and that’s it.

Aubameyang is one of four changes that Arteta has made from the side that drew 1-1 with Burnley last weekend.

Calum Chambers (£4.5m), Willian (£7.5m) and Pablo Mari (£4.4m) also make way, as Alexandre Lacazette (£8.1m), Cedric (£4.6m), Emile Smith Rowe (£4.2m) and Gabriel (£4.9m) are recalled.

As for Spurs, Tanguy Ndombele (£5.9m) in for Harry Winks (£5.1m) is the only change that Jose Mourinho has made from the Gameweek 27 win over Crystal Palace.

That means that Harry Kane (£11.4m) has recovered from the knock to the knee he took in Thursday’s win over Dinamo Zagreb.

The England international is reunited with Son Heung-min (£9.6m), Lucas Moura (£6.6m) and Gareth Bale (£9.5m) in a front four that looked potent against the Eagles last weekend.

Kane and Bale were the top two most popular purchases of Gameweek 28, following their double-digit hauls in the Lilywhites’ previous league outing.

The Spurs duo were transferred in by over one million managers combined in the run-up to Friday’s deadline.

LINE-UPS

Arsenal XI: Leno, Cedric, Luiz, Gabriel, Tierney, Xhaka, Partey, Saka, Odegaard, Smith-Rowe, Lacazette.

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Lloris, Doherty, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Reguilon, Højbjerg, Ndombele, Lucas, Bale, Son, Kane.

GAMEWEEK 28 SO FAR…

.

Kelechi Iheanacho‘s (£5.6m) superb Fantasy Premier League form continued on Sunday as Leicester City thumped a Sheffield United side marooned at the foot of the Premier League table and starting life without Chris Wilder.

The Nigeria international hit a hat-trick in a 5-0 win over the managerless Blades, taking his total to five goals and 35 FPL points in his last three appearances.

Iheanacho has been flourishing alongside Jamie Vardy (£10.2m) since the budget FPL forward’s return to the Leicester starting XI in Gameweek 26, and has had over twice as many shots as the long-serving striker in that time.

No Fantasy forward has registered as many shots in the box or big chances as Iheanacho over the last three Gameweeks.

Vardy again failed to find the target on Sunday but was as much a part of the Foxes’ victory as his strike partner, supplying three assists – two of them sublime passes for Iheanacho before Ethan Ampadu (£4.3m) deflected in his off-target effort – en route to his first double-digit haul since Gameweek 14.

The fit-again Ayoze Perez (£6.0m) also got in on the act by finding the net on his return from injury.

This was not a match to gauge the offensive threat or defensive competence of Brendan Rodgers’ troops, however, as Sheffield United turned in a thoroughly abject display under caretaker boss Paul Heckingbottom.

The Blades managed just one shot on goal as the hosts cruised to what was their first clean sheet in six matches.

Owners of Ricardo Pereira (£5.9m) couldn’t enjoy the routine shut-out, however, as the Portuguese full-back was withdrawn at half-time because of “tightness in his hamstring”.

I find that sometimes leaving the team alone is better than tinkering. I always say Im gonna do nothing then start replacing players who score. seen it so many times before. thats what makes FPL so fascinating. it would be dead boring if we got high scores every week.

Kane and Son have been season keepers for a lot of players myself included. Unless you're going to make 3 subs every week of course some weeks they will do better than others dependent on position. I've forgotten the points being made now 😉

It's easy to say now, but that wasn't a bad game to have Kane & Son in. Always goals in the NLD and on good attacking form. Agree was a poor performance, but early Son injury and Kane hitting the post and disallowed goal is mostly just bad luck.

Just accept the fact it was a terrible decision. Your clutching at straws. In these games Mou sets up to defend. Away from home Kane’s form is terrible. Tripling up on their attack was a mad decision

What, having Kane & Son!? Must be massively owned in the top 10K. I've not tripled up, I would suggest that is a bit much also. I've also captained Fernandes, as you'll see in my comment history although the deciding factor was Kane's knock.

Although it is quite entertaining, I don't think Fudgy needs to beat himself up for captaining Kane, it has turned out to be a poor decision in hindsight of course.

Not now. Look at all my posts from the past one week. I have been suggesting not to captain Kane, And not to double up. If you look at what Spurs has done in the last five: they lost against West Ham, lost against City, Won 1-0 against Fulham. Only beat a poor defense in Palace and Burnley. People here get too excited.

I'll take your word for it 🙂

I still think Spurs double up has made perfect sense for most of the season. Although I'll be singling now but only due to Sons injury.

You can’t possibly argue the Kane/Son double up based on results this year.

                Form.. fair enough.
                Bale... fair enough.
                Mo... fair enough.

But the double up has been gold.

Form! Check last five. Plus that game was a Son freak goal and a Kane goal created more because Partey gave space to him from running towards the touchline. Spurs has been poor in the last five except those two games against bad defenses.

You have to look at it like poker.
Professional poker players might be dissapointed by the luck of the draw, but won't beat themselves up if they made the right calls with the information open to them. In many ways you're more dissapointed winning if you got the play wrong in the run up to that result.

      Or:

      S**t happens, get over it.

never pick a VC in the same team of your captain... Mainly due to postponements/cancellations... Even more relevant when picking Man City assets that get easily rotated

Without Son, Kane isn't worth having.
He's not the same player when Son isn't playing.
The question is, can Bale replace Son as the feeder?

Well you're not going to go into GW 29 without Kane.

Depending on the severity of Son's hamstring strain, he could even be back for GW 30 (3rd April).

You're right. I won't be going without Kane, but I think I'll be wildcarding in gw30.
Bale was on my target list for gw29, but now I'm not so sure.

I’m guessing chances of a Bruno blank now are less than 0%

The game that keeps on (not) giving!

Bruno out for Son in GW27 was one of my more inspired moves in my playing history 😆

Fantasy football meant to add to the enjoyment of football, but boy has it been a rough season.

Anyone who gets top 100k this year, let alone top 10k or better deserves a lifetime achievement. Insane levels of luck / skill to dodge these brutal blows.

Truth is the only fun bit about football right now is fantasy. The real stuff is so appalling. Much more fun to make wrong decisions on here than watch it.

9 of my ideal team still active

Wouldn't want Leeds attack this week. You concerned at all at the drop off in goals? Some bad luck I know but the blanks have rolled in really consistently since xmas

Was always gonna happen. We were punching above our weight . Target is to stay up and we will just about do that.
Fulham and Sheffield the next two. Need to get at least one win in those two.

Oh you're safe surely - 36/37 is typically enough anyway

Just curious about the drop off in attack. Had a look at the goals over the season and first half you were scoring so consistently. Wondered if the drop off was down to anything in particular.

11 from the 8 teams, benching the likes of Salah and Gundo. Was gonna be struggling through with 6 or 7 players after injuries so thought I’d draft a WC team, and it looks good to the end of the season. 2 FT in 31 to deal with the fixture swing

    WC draft
    Martinez (Mendy)
    Regulion Dallas Targett Veltman (Digne)
    Auba Saka Raphinha (Bruno Gundo)
    Kane Antonio Watkins
2,9 itb. 11 out this gw, only 3 with a blank gw33, 4 players already with DGW Everton-Aston Villa(will surely add DCL also)
What do you think? Basically only have 6 players without hits if Son and Bamford injured. This will mix things up for sure, not template.

Don't listen to the haters. Only moaning because many captained Kane and are feeling sorry for themselves.

Still a differential captain, and when others blank it makes a huge difference.

      Well done.
