Ferran Torres (€8.0m) finds himself on the bench as Spain play their second match of EURO 2020.

The Manchester City man drops out of the line-up to be replaced by Gerard Moreno (€6.5m) as Luis Enrique persists with a 4-3-3 formation.

That shape means Dani Olmo (€7.0m) retains his starting berth on the other flank, with Alvaro Morata (€9.0m) through the middle.

Torres’ namesake Pau Torres (€4.5m) earns a second successive start alongside Aymeric Laporte (€6.0m) at centre-back in front of goalkeeper Unai Simón (€5.0m).

Poland have made some changes of their own, one of which includes €4.0m defender Tymoteusz Puchacz (€4.0m) coming in for Maciej Rybus (€5.0m) at left wing-back.

Spain XI: Simón; Alba, P Torres, Laporte, Llorente; González, Rodri, Koke; Olmo, Morata, Moreno.

Poland XI: Szczesny; Bednarek, Glik, Bereszynski; Puchacz, Moder, Klich, Jozwiak; Zielinski, Swiderski; Lewandowski.

If Pau Torres and Llorente get a clean sheet minimum my MD1 team would have scored higher than my my Limitless MD1 team. Lesson learned for next time! Now have to play my wildcard and hope for the best in rd16.

The lesson being not to use a chip in MD2 if possible.

I have Eriksen, Ristowski, three Italian and two Dutch players, all rotation risks except maybe Donnarumma. Don't have much of a choice

But the people you'll be bringing in on WC are also rotation risks. I'm in a very similar situation to you and really can't see how anyone can pick a WC team with any confidence (outside the Italians who play 1st).

I'll swap Eriksen for someone, and most likely Spinazzola (less likely to emerge from bench) using my 2FTs and roll the dice with everyone, but without my WC chip

Posted on wrong article just now.

MD3 surely the best time to play limitless chip, no?

You don’t permanently lose your star players from teams that have already qualified for the knockout stage, but you get to replace them for one game with players likely to start, right?

Yes. Wishing I had played this way round. Just played in MD2 and so will now play WC to ship everyone out and will need to bring everyone back in for R16 but will no doubt lose value

Should i play limitless or wc for MD3?

    1. LSK
      • 8 Years

WC. Limitless can hurt in later rounds because the team you get back after LL will be 2 rounds behind.

Aren’t you behind the curve of changes though if Use LL in knockouts?

        1. LSK
          • 8 Years
          5 years, 6 days ago

Yep. I meant LL in MD3. Typo/brainfart. LL in later stages will leave you 2 rounds behind and your team in disarray.

    2. rrcmc

      • 17 Years
      5 years, 6 days ago

I’m in two minds. LL has potential in KO phase but then you might play LL and the round later, you could need to make many changes to get a team out depending on how the games have turned out

      1. RogDog_jimmy
        • 5 Years
        5 years, 6 days ago

        Yeah I don’t like it.
Let’s say you LL in the round of 8 after WC in round of 16.
You’ll roll the team from WC16 into round of 4. So 12 teams will have been knocked out.

You can only have 3 from a team in wc16 so you have max 12 players assuming you pick the four teams right to go for 3 players.

        It’s super hard I think.

LL is for the group stage.

    3. Old Bull
      • 12 Years
      5 years, 6 days ago

The scope for returns will lessen from GW16 onwards. If you’ve already played your WC then limitless seems sensible. If not, I’d WC and save it for the last 8. This game is ll about building up your lead in the first few rounds.

      1. rrcmc
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        • 17 Years
        5 years, 6 days ago

But what if you have both available. Both have different pros and cons and both really give the same result as you can also find a decent team for 100 mil

        1. RogDog_jimmy
          • 5 Years
          5 years, 6 days ago

If you have both use LL in MD3.
          100%.

Having 2 WC for knockouts is a great position to be in.

        2. Old Bull
          • 12 Years
          5 years, 6 days ago

Yes I agree, the pricing does not guarantee success. I’ve used the limitless this matchday with limited success, 59pts, only 2 more than MD1. But it was fun picking the side I wanted without even looking at player prices. I just think there was more scope to get those points now, than there will be in later rounds because of the shrinking options.

          1. RogDog_jimmy
            • 5 Years
            5 years, 6 days ago

            It’s not about the pricing.

If you use a limitless your team reverts to the previous matchday.

In the KO round that would mean having a team from 16 teams to 4 teams or from 8 to 2 teams.

With only 1 round of transfers to fix it.

    4. RogDog_jimmy
      • 5 Years
      5 years, 6 days ago

The only round in the knockout to potentially use the LL is in the final game week I think.

      No other one is smart.
