Fantasy Football Scout’s very own Mark Sutherns has been discussing his final Fantasy Premier League (FPL) team over on our YouTube channel – subject to any last-minute tinkering of course.

This is an exclusive for Premium Members – and there’ll be plenty more to come in 2021/22.

Mark will be filming one video just for subscribers every week throughout the upcoming campaign, so sign up via this link in order to see them.

FPL pre-season: Trossard hits hat-trick from wing-back role 1

In his latest video, the FPL BlackBox co-host discusses Bruno Fernandes (£12.0m), Kostas Tsimikas (£4.0m) and a couple of intriguing mid-price midfielders.

Mark explains his 3-5-2 set-up, premium midfielder choices and the omission of Danny Ings (£8.0m), plus lots more.

One thing to note, since the team reveal was recorded, Mark has switched Ben White (£4.5m) to Luke Ayling (£4.5m), something he touched on in the video.

    Shaw, Stones, White
    Salah (C), Bruno, Grealish, Barnes
    Ings, Tooney, Antonio

    Bench: Cheapies

I’m not keen on the premium goalkeeper, apart from that I really like it.

    A: Mount + Barnes

    Or

    B: Rapiniha + Grealish

    Or

    C: Jack Harrison + 7.5-8.5 (who?!)
    They’d be my 3rd and 4th midfielders in a 343.

Son is essentially the placeholder for the 3rd premium like Lukaku/Kane. But B has better shorter term fixtures.

And the transfer is set to be announced ahead of their Premier League opener against West Ham on Sunday, with a £25million fee understood to have been agreed for the young Englishman.

Bruce said on Friday: “He’s here, he’s completed his medical.

“There are still a few bits and pieces to be done on that front as we speak now, so we expect him to train this morning.

Am experimenting this year to see how good the collective wisdom of the fpl is (i.e. choosing players based on ownership for GW1, and subsequently making transfers based on net transfers in each GW).

It still requires some subjectivity on my part because the top 15 owned players costs 109 with an average player ownership of 32.2%. For simplicity, i sorted by ownership per dollar, which created a team that costs 102.5 with an average ownership of 31.6%. So out went Dias and Grealish, and in came Coufal and Saka. Bringing in Amartey and Mount instead would have created higher average ownership, but i doubt many teams have both Tsimikas and Amartey, but rather one of the two. Plus given both Cresswell and Coufal have relatively high ownership, the number of teams with at least 1 WHM defender is quite high.

Below is the final team that costs exactly 100M and has an average ownership of 30.2% (arrange by ownership per dollar). Subs are also subjective, but captaincy will be decided by the FFS poll. Will update each gameweek on the transfer to be made!

    Martinez / Foster (sub)
Shaw / White (sub) / Tsimikas / TAA / Coufal
    Salah (c) / Fernandes / Raphinha (sub) / Bissouma (sub) / Saka
    Toney / Ings / Antonio
