Sunday’s Premier League action continues in Birmingham as Aston Villa take on Leicester City in Gameweek 15.

Kick-off is at 16:30 GMT.

Steven Gerrard makes two changes to his starting XI, with Ashley Young and Jacob Ramsey coming in for Matt Targett and Leon Bailey, who both picked up injuries in midweek.

That suggests £4.5m midfielder Ramsey will feature in Villa’s front three, alongside Emiliano Buendia and Ollie Watkins.

As for Leicester, Jamie Vardy – who is owned by 26.8% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers – is named as a substitute, as Patson Daka leads the line.

Kieran Dewsbury-Hall also comes in for Boubakary Soumare, who drops to the bench.

GAMEWEEK 15 LINE-UPS

Aston Villa XI: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Young, Nakamba, McGinn, Luiz, Buendia, Ramsey, Watkins

Subs: Steer, Sanson, Tuanzebe, El Ghazi, Hause, Philogene-Bidace, Chukwuemeka, Davis, Iroegbunam

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel, Castagne, Evans, Soyuncu, Thomas, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndidi, Maddison, Lookman, Barnes, Daka

Subs: Ward, Vardy, Albrighton, Iheanacho, Perez, Choudhury, Vestergaard, Daley-Campbell, Soumare

Daka is playing very well, so it seems uncertain, probably stays on the bench but he might put him on for 10 minutes.

Depends on the score. If we're winning then he'll stay put I guess. He'll come on.

Oliver followed the rule tbf but it looks another rule that needs altering like the any contact = pen.

    Very rare occurance at least.

    1. Randaxus
      • 5 Years
      4 years, 8 months ago

The problem is not Oliver following the rule, it is the rule being bulls***

    2. @persecuted_by_mods
      4 years, 8 months ago

I'm happy with one hand on the ball like that meaning control for the keeper, I'm all for goals and favouring attackers but smashing it out of a keepers hand isn't the way, could seriously injure

      1. Randaxus
        • 5 Years
        4 years, 8 months ago

You are not "in control" of the ball if you only have one hand on it, I would consider that being partially in control of the ball, and therefore should not be a foul, this is my opinion.

        1. @persecuted_by_mods
          4 years, 8 months ago

I'd consider it full control, it isn't moving anywhere unless you move it as the keeper or as in this case a striker smashed your hand off

          1. Randaxus
            • 5 Years
            4 years, 8 months ago

Like a lot of rules in football, managers and players want objectivity, but what is deemed as being "in control" is subjective and you therefore cannot have consistency in the rule.

            1. @persecuted_by_mods
              4 years, 8 months ago

Agreed, in this instance however I'm happy with the decision. I don't need a broken hand for the sake of a goal

              1. Randaxus
                • 5 Years
                4 years, 8 months ago

If he toe poked it into the goal and he did not touch Schmeichel's hand would you still consider that a foul because he was in control of the ball?

                1. @persecuted_by_mods
                  4 years, 8 months ago

Yes, in the same way diving 2 footed leaping off your feet studs up and not connecting with the opposition's player can still be a red card

yes, id consider it foul. Thats no different than if someone kicked the ball in without touching the hands when goalie has two hands on it

      2. Rainer
        • 10 Years
        4 years, 8 months ago

Made these transfers last night, had exact money.

    Son - Cornet - Mbeumo ->
    Foden - Bowen - Mount

Didn't realize the CL fixtures were midweek! Hoping it doesn't backfire...
