Norwich v Man Utd team news: Rangnick names unchanged starting XI

Norwich City v Manchester United brings Saturday’s Premier League action to a close, with kick-off at Carrow Road at 17:30 GMT.

The team news is nice and simple for the visitors as Ralf Rangnick names an unchanged team from last weekend’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Cristiano Ronaldo was transferred in by just under 450,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers ahead of Friday’s deadline and is the second most-captained player of Gameweek 16.

Diogo Dalot and David de Gea also featured in the top 10 most transferred-in players of this current Gameweek.

Dean Smith has made five changes from Sunday’s defeat at Spurs, with Lukas Rupp, Dimitris Giannoulis, Ozan Kabak, Przemyslaw Placheta and Josh Sargent coming into the side.

Budget FPL defender Brandon Williams misses out as he is ineligible to face his parent club, while Ben Gibson, Pierre Lees-Melou, Adam Idah and Andrew Omobamidele also drop out of the side.

Dean Smith reported injury and illness issues concerning four unnamed players in his pre-match presser, and Gibson and Omobamidele are indeed not part of the matchday squad.

      I picked guita week 5 and then was a Ross up between him and ramsdale. .5 of a price rise and a bucket load of points later I took the decision on Friday to get United’s keeper and run with 2 for a bit. Not got Ronaldo but hoping my ‘squad’ makes it worth it

      Same as last few seasons. Average, lucky and bailed out by one of their individual talents. Defence does look more solid though and both full backs look great value. Should keep more clean sheets with DDG in this form too.

        Cheers. I kind of brought Ronaldo in on a whim after seeing how well they pressed against Palace thinking it would continue and yield more chances but perhaps that was a false dawn of sorts. Might keep him until the weekend and use him to free up funds to get DDG in

          Hold for a while. Norwich played very well, imo. And Rashford had his radar off by a few inches, Bruno's by a mile, so passes were just behind or just in front of Ronaldo

      I'm only 104.3. Ranked around 390k (was 70k only 6 weeks ago, 6 successive red arrows).

      Hits cost 44 points too. Although, clearly not as successful.

      Picking Guaita over Ramsdale, having Toney/Mbeumo for too long, gambling captaincy 2-3 times with limited success, getting on James, Dennis too late.... my rank has plummeted.

      In desperate need of some greens in these quick gameweeks, not having as much fun anymore.

        My team is linked. Starting with Harrison and Barnes over Benrahma and Raph has cost me a lot of points. Pundit sorted Barnes out immediately, I didn't understand the need to to it.

        I got Dennis early, at 5.2 but curse of my tv is that all his points are left on my bench. However, now I am pretty happy to afford to have almost everyone I want. However, Antonio is the one I don't seem to be able to afford.
