Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers’ plans were thrown into further disarray on Friday afternoon with the announcement of two more Double Gameweeks.

Double Gameweek 28 will feature two fixtures for Aston Villa, Leeds United, Newcastle United, Southampton, Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Double Gameweek 29 will involve Arsenal, Brighton and Hove Albion, Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur playing twice.

Only one side – Newcastle – have back-to-back doubles in Gameweeks 28 and 29, so 11 different clubs are affected.

Only seven outstanding fixtures now remain unscheduled but more will have to be rearranged as a result of the clash with the FA Cup in Gameweeks 30 and 33.

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 28 FIXTURES

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 29 FIXTURES

TEAMS WITH THE MOST FIXTURES OUTSTANDING

Fantasy community eyes Burnley clean sheet in first Double Gameweek match
  • Leicester (3)
  • Arsenal, Burnley, Chelsea, Everton (2)
  • Aston Villa, Norwich, Spurs (1)
  • Brighton, Brentford, Crystal Palace, Leeds, Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Newcastle, Southampton, Watford, West Ham, Wolves (0)
OUTSTANDING GAMES:

  • Aston Villa v Burnley
  • Everton v Leicester City
  • Burnley v Everton
  • Leicester City v Norwich
  • Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal
  • Chelsea v Arsenal
  • Chelsea v Leicester City
  • The above outstanding matches will have to be fulfilled from Gameweek 31 onwards.

    DOUBLE GAMEWEEK OUTLOOK

    • Gameweek 26: A Double Gameweek for Arsenal, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leeds, Liverpool, Spurs, Watford and Wolves.
    • Gameweek 27: A Double Gameweek for Burnley. Three sides, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, blank.
    • Gameweek 28: A Double Gameweek for Aston Villa, Leeds United, Newcastle United, Southampton, Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
    • Gameweek 29: A Double Gameweek for Arsenal, Brighton and Hove Albion, Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
    • Gameweek 30: No chance of a Double Gameweek and a near-certain chance of it being a Blank Gameweek, as it will clash with the FA Cup quarter-finals. Aston Villa v Arsenal, Wolves v Leeds and Leicester v Brentford are the only fixtures that so far will definitely go ahead.
    • Gameweek 33: A free midweek does allow for a Double Gameweek, although the weekend games do clash with the FA Cup semi-finals, too.
    • Gameweek 36: A free midweek allows for a Double Gameweek. This is likely to be the biggest Double Gameweek of the season.

There is also a chance of there being other small Double Gameweeks in Gameweeks 31, 32, 34, 35 and 37, with the results of cup competitions home and abroad likely to dictate that.

Feel like Mane is more competing with Diaz for the LW, not with Firmino. not sure whether we'll see Sadio start through the middle

Wait and see. This DGW I'd have Robbo AND Trent rather than just Trent so with capitaincy on Salah anyway I think I could offset that with those two

Maybe. Can obviously wait for DGW28 to buy him (after FA Cup), but already good fixture in 27 (NOR) so might actually pay off to gamble early

It is set piece that brings JWP points. Don't see opponents affect much on his returning chance.

        4 years, 16 days ago

Cant do that as my players in 28 is coming in for some i play this week. But in theory, could be a Decent strategy. But the risk of injuries before gw28 i think its best to take a hit in 28 to make sure you dont sit with a player you hitted in im gw26 who is then injured before 28.

The highest i have seen is like a normal dat in West Coast in Norway, you can play fotball inside a stadium with that. Fans need not take their umbrella with them though, unless you want a little ride.

First WC attempt. How would you rate this? Thanks.

      Ramsdale
      TAA Tierney Saiss Kilman
      Salah(c) Mane Coutinho Raph
      Laca Jimenez

      Forster Ramsey Digne Broja

      10 doublers for 26
      FH27
      BB28 (9 doubles, 3x Arsenal, 3x Liverpool)
      6 double for 29
10 players for BGW30 (12 if SOU out of FA cup)

Mane/Kilman could become VVD/any mid to keep cash in bank.

Used BB in week 1 but have two FH.
Plan TC this week, WC 28 FH 30 and another FH in 36 or whenever decent DGW occurs.
Don't understand need for WC/ FH this week. Most teams with two GW's have unappealing fixtures or players, in Spurs case both!

      @Nabil on FH27.

I think it depends of your team but i think there are some players that could make a difference in gw27.
      -Broja vs Norwich at home
      -Son/Kane vs Leeds.
      -Digne+Coutinho
      -Ronaldo/Bruno vs Watford at home.
      -Triple up on Man City
      -Edouard
I don't own any of them atm and don't know if you agree but they are really good picks only for gw27.

Agree with this although Brighton will be tough for Villa.

Want Son, Kane, United & City next week but no in the weeks after that maybe just Son out of those for GW29.

I still like the idea for FH27 maybe even more now after the double announcements.

Currently I have Ramsey, Bruno, DDG/Guaita, Cancelo from the lot of teams you mentioned.. and I got Wood! Think I can survive 27 without FH

In light of the new double gw.

      Ramsdale
      Laporte, Cancelo, TAA
      Bowen, Jota, Foden, Raphinha, Coutinho
      Antonio, Ronaldo

      De gea, Duffy, Livramento, king

      2FT 1m ITB
A Ronaldo and jota> Firmino and Salah
B Ronaldo and jota> Lacazette and Salah
C Ronaldo, jota and foden> Lacazette, Salah and Saka -4
D Ronaldo, jota, foden and Laporte> Lacazette, Salah, Saka and robertson -8

      Any other suggestions?

Is Maupay to Weghorst worth a -4? I am already on a -4 and it will give me 12 DGW for my BB.

They are the only DGW players I have atm in GW28 so Im tempted to FH that week and add few more doubler for GW29.

Im just gonna keep them as they are so cheap, nailed starters and can be ideal bench warmers. They also have to start delivering something at some point.

Im looking at a switch to 5-4-1 or 4-5-1 with Broja as my playing striker and Dennis and King on the bench.

Really wish I had that 2nd FH now tbh

Always ALWAYS find a way to wait to play them all.

        I should have learnt.

TC26.. no chip 27 then decide what to do later.

        GW26 - TC, 8 doublers, maybe take a -4 for 9
GW27 - have 11 players, field them as they are
        GW28 - WC to maximize both GW28 and 29
        GW29 - BB
        GW30 - FH

Saving second FH when need occurs after 30

Not sure about the wildcard to maximise 28 and 29. For me, the key players in 28 are not the same as 29. It's looking like a FH 28 here

What do you think regarding Reguilon? Could have a game in 27 and thinking about saving my FH for 28.

      A. Keep Reguilon, have Livramento as cover on bench which is likely to start.
      B. Sell for -4 (would be -12 in total). Would probably bring in Tierney, van Dijk or even Tarkowski.

      Thanks!

I'm on B, I don't care how many games he has! Went for VVD myself, tiny element of doubt stopped me going for Robbo.
