Everton v Manchester City is the sixth and final Gameweek 27 match of the day, with kick-off at Goodison Park at 17:30 GMT.

The team news doesn’t make good reading for Free Hitters, with Riyad Mahrez – selected by over 90% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers playing the chip this week – benched again.

Despite fears over mass Pep Guardiola rotation after last week’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, there is only one change to the City starting XI as John Stones comes in for Kyle Walker at right-back.

Mahrez is joined among the City substitutes by the fit-again Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin does not make Everton’s squad because of a groin injury that will keep him out for seven to 10 days.

Abdoulaye Doucoure replaces him in the starting line-up in Frank Lampard’s only change from Gameweek 26.

GAMEWEEK 27 LINE-UPS

Everton XI: Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Kenny, Iwobi, Allan, Van de Beek, Doucoure, Gordon, Richarlison

Subs: Begovic, Patterson, Gray, Townsend, Mykolenko, Branthwaite, Rondon, El Ghazi, Alli

Man City XI: Ederson, Stones, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo, Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Foden, Sterling

Subs: Carson, Slicker, Walker, Ake, Jesus, Grealish, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Mahrez

      2 - Dennis
      6 - Digne & DDG
      On-going - Bernardo
      Pending - Antonio & Bowen
Same players - Bruno & Cancelo

      Points gained from players in;
      2 - Broja & Roberts*
      3 - Pope*
      8 - Son
      9 - Kane
      4 - Weghorst* (c)
      On-going - Sterling & Mahrez

Yeah I think you've done reasonably well. Just a generalisation tbh since City players is the most obvious difference between FHers and non FHers

I can see what's coming here.

59th minute: Sterling off, Mahrez on. 1 pointers from both.

I watched the game. I'd say Ronaldo more unlucky, hit post, narrow offside goal & Bruno was in 1 on 1 with keeper with a simple tap in to Ronaldo but took the shot on straight at the keeper.

That’s interesting. And yet he’s stinking up my team with his measly captain points. Chances are he’ll have low xG and score a hatful next week after I’ve sold him

So, I've been pretty set on having Trent & Robbo for the rest of the season but I'm on wildcard for 28 onwards and I'm kinda looking at Matip instead of Robbo...

Seems to constantly start and it means that I can upgrade Alonso > James & Broja > Adams and still have 0.3 in the bank, instead of the former two (with Robbo) and 0 ITB.

    Thoughts?

    1. Paqueta Rice
      • 5 Years

Tough that. Robertson is a much better pick than Matip but Matip is incredible value

      1. Zenith UK
        • 10 Years
        4 years, 6 months ago

This is what I mean, so I'm trying to evaluate at the fact I can sell Robbo for 7.1 and get Matip for 4.9 and Robbo has only scored 12 points more in the past 5 GWs (so 2.4 ppgw) but I pocket 2.2M for upgrades

        1. Zenith UK
          • 10 Years
          4 years, 6 months ago

To add to this I feel (as we've seen) that the deeper Liverpool get in the UCL that Robbo is more susceptible to rotation than Robbo

Were they out of his control though? Is 'murderball' a factor? And the size of the squad was his choice - why was the only first-team acquisition the terrible Firpo?

        1. Paqueta Rice
          • 5 Years
          4 years, 6 months ago

That is fair. They did sign James too but I agree the squad depth isn’t there. The murder all factor has been ongoing and it didn’t cause too many injuries last season iirc

    10. Patio Kev

Sad but they had to do something as heading straight for the Championship otherwise based on current form.

Nothing I’ve seen from Leeds in the past few games suggests he could stop the rot.

Whether somebody else can come in and do it either is another question.

It's a bit sad but unfortunately inevitable. You just can continue to get pummelled week in week out and do the same thing over and over. Players looked tired of the system as well.

A shame. His teams are usually a joy to watch when in full flight, but there usually comes a point where they struggle to maintain what he wants. He has been unlucky with injuries at Leeds this season. I also wonder if last season they were helped by the lack of intensity in other teams given the lack of fans in the grounds.

Given the standard of the teams involved, 4-5 is fine

Depending on the approach, some attack early and defend later. The others will attack at the later stage of the season. I feel that it's not too much different at the end. For me, I need to attack now as my rank is crap. Trying to get into 100K after 30 and defend with 2FH at the later stage.

You can't choose to have so many DGWers in both GW28 and GW29. I think one needs to choose, unless of course someone is taking a lot of hits.

So next week is this good to BB assuming I switch Antonio to Wood

    Caps are DGW

    FOSTER. de gea
    Cancelo. LIVRA. DIGNE. Trent. Lamptey
    Martinelli. RAMSEY. salah. Mane. Saka
    Laca. JIMINEZ C. WOOD

I would just bench Lamptey, Wood, someone else & a keeper.

Don't know lad but judging book by its cover looks like he needs to change his environment a bit...

Too much money at such young age, not easy to stay focused hence he needs someone to slap him every now & again.

  29. Deulofail

I have 12.4 ITB and using FH in GW29.
Where should I spend my FT and cash?

    A) Pope + Bowen > Sa + Coutinho (-4)
    B) Pope + Bowen > Forster + Podence (-4)
    C) Something else

    Sanchez
    DIGNE, SAISS, COADY, Tierney
    JWP, Ramsey, Son, Saka
    DENNIS, KING

    Pope | Cancelo, Bowen, Weghorst

Leaning towards B as Villa don't have a great GW31/32, which makes saving my WC at that point less likely.

I could also sell King for Adams for an additional hit, also giving me 11 for GW30 without another hit (injury-permitting), or 12 if Weghorst has a fixture.

FH draft who would be your 11th man in that team?

    Sa
    TAA Saiss Digne
    Salah Coutinho Raphinha
    Kane Watkins Jimenez

    Thanks
