Everton v Manchester City is the sixth and final Gameweek 27 match of the day, with kick-off at Goodison Park at 17:30 GMT.

The team news doesn’t make good reading for Free Hitters, with Riyad Mahrez – selected by over 90% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers playing the chip this week – benched again.

Despite fears over mass Pep Guardiola rotation after last week’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, there is only one change to the City starting XI as John Stones comes in for Kyle Walker at right-back.

Mahrez is joined among the City substitutes by the fit-again Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin does not make Everton’s squad because of a groin injury that will keep him out for seven to 10 days.

Abdoulaye Doucoure replaces him in the starting line-up in Frank Lampard’s only change from Gameweek 26.

GAMEWEEK 27 LINE-UPS

Everton XI: Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Kenny, Iwobi, Allan, Van de Beek, Doucoure, Gordon, Richarlison

Subs: Begovic, Patterson, Gray, Townsend, Mykolenko, Branthwaite, Rondon, El Ghazi, Alli

Man City XI: Ederson, Stones, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo, Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Foden, Sterling

Subs: Carson, Slicker, Walker, Ake, Jesus, Grealish, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Mahrez

At the risk of prompting an equaliser, el Ghazi was an odd purchase.

That wasn’t a penalty because there was no need to review it as a penalty because it was offside in the build up.

If it wasn’t offside the ref would have been told to go to pitch side monitor and it would have been given.

    VAR just doing it’s job.

it was clarified. Man Cty had a free kick outside the penalty area, the ball after Rodri handball went out for a throw in for Everton

    3. Paqueta Rice

Possibly. They did just say it was “being looked at” however and didn’t state that.

Why did they review a potential handball then?

    FH benefits- Kane & JWP
Original team had Watkins, Digne & Foster

Both original & FH teams had Cancelo & Son

Sterling, Mahrez, Sancho & all Burnley guys big flop.
Guess the only benefit was avoiding some hits.

It probably was a handball, but since there was a free kick afterwards, there was an offside before the incident.

    Even the commentators missed it

Not sure it was obvious that it connected with his arm below the sleeve

    2. LE CHARO
      • 6 Years

The offside was AFTER the incident, that's why the ref stopped the play, which allowed the incident to be reviewed.

    Bruno + Bowen + Edouard + Idah —> Maddison + JWP + Broja + Jimenez

If West Ham wins the FA cup tie, all 4 players would play in 30 and double this gw. Hope Bielsa doesn’t get sacked before Leicester

Bench would be Ramsdale - Cancelo - white - saka

Bowen could really do some damage to FHers with Bruno, Sancho, KDB, Sterling, Mahrez etc. all blanking
Has 65% FPL goal involvement in last 12 matches and Wolves haven’t kept a CS in 5 of their last 6 games

FH team - 51 with Weg(c), Mee and Tark to go

If I did literally nothing and played last weeks team with 5 missing players and 2 injured - 38 with Sá, Ait-Nouri and Bowen. That assumes Kane (c).

So probably not getting the huge upside of the FH but not a total disaster.
