We round up the key Fantasy Premier League (FPL) talking points of the day in FPL Daily, a weekday series that serves non-Premier League matchdays and days when we don’t bring you a team news/press conference round-up.

BLANK GAMEWEEK 30 LATEST

We have three more confirmed blanks in Gameweek 30 of Fantasy Premier League after Wednesday’s FA Cup fifth-round ties, bringing the current total to five.

Burnley v Southampton, Norwich City v Chelsea (more on that game in a bit) and Liverpool v Manchester United are all postponed, along with Manchester City v Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace v Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United will go ahead in Gameweek 30, however, along with Arsenal v Aston Villa, Leicester City v Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers v Leeds United.

We’re likely to have six fixtures off in Gameweek 30, as Everton would have to lose to non-league Boreham Wood on Thursday in order for their fixture against Watford to go ahead:

GAMEWEEK 28: NORWICH v CHELSEA SET TO BE ADDED

More FPL Gameweek 30 blanks confirmed as Chelsea get Double Gameweek 28 1

Double Gameweek 28 will now be one match bigger as a result of Chelsea progressing in the FA Cup tonight.

Norwich City v Chelsea – originally scheduled for Gameweek 30 – will now move to Thursday 10 March and the two clubs will now ‘double’ in Gameweek 28 as a consequence.

The Blues will be away at Burnley and Norwich, while the Canaries will host Brentford before welcoming Thomas Tuchel’s side to Carrow Road.

We’ve reset the ‘best captain’ poll results on the sidebar, with Chelsea assets now added.

after taking a -4 this is what i've got:

    Sa (Foster)
    TAA, Cancelo, Rudiger, Digne, Livra
    Salah, Mane, Willock (Bowen, Bernardo)
    Dennis, Broja (Antonio)

should I BB or just ride out leaving all that money on the bench?

no FHs left btw, thinking of WC'ing next week to set me up for BGW30 and just taking hits to cover any DGWs from there.

Could also be an option to WC now, enabling BB in DGW29 and getting through BGW30?

that's an option for sure, but i'm actually pretty content with my lineup for this week and don't think it'd require much to be all set for next week either. other option is to WC sometime before DGW33 or 36 and kick the BB can down the road for one of those

I realised after posting, its much of a muchness with your setup whether you WC then BB, or BB then WC.

If you can get through BGW30 without the WC, could be worth holding then both.

it’s a decent punt and aggressively chasing of an upside for two great fixtures, I am considering it on WC but may prefer to hold two transfers for 30 but it’s always better first and foremost to play the week in front of you

    Hi all,

I can take a -8 to get to this:

    Foster
    TAA Rudi Livra
    Raph Salah Son Cout (c)
    Broja Dennis Jimi

    Pope Ramsey Cancelo Robbo

    Would you BB this y/n?

My other plan was WC in 35 and BB in 36.

To answer your question, i'd wildcard after 31 to set up for the remaining smaller dgws leading into the bigger one in 36.

Do you think you are getting more points with (BB - 8) vs FT without hits? If so, then yes, go ahead.

Still not sure at all what to do here...no FH left. Should I WC?

    DDG - Steele
    TAA - Robbo - Cancelo - Coufal - Williams
    Salah - Son - Saka - Bowen - Ramsey
    Dennis - King - Edouard

    5.2 ITB, 1 FT

Only Saka, Son, Bowen, and Ramsey to play in GW30...if I WC, who should I prioritize?

    1. Casual Player
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 9 months ago

You could but could also wait pretty easily.

You've got so much ITB that I think you have the flexibility with FTs and 1 or 2 -4s to get a very respectable BGW30 team out, and also strengthen GW28/29 lineups

      1. Gunneryank
        • 4 Years
        3 years, 9 months ago

        This exactly.

    2. Eric Banternaaa
      • 11 Years
      3 years, 9 months ago

      I think you should WC.

Will allow you to set team up for next couple of game weeks and also have a team GW 30.

Otherwise a -4 each week will get you 8 players GW30.

      1. Casual Player
        • 5 Years
        3 years, 9 months ago

-4 each week could get you up to 10 players for GW30?

But even with only 8, if that's Saka, Son, Bowen, Ramsay, you add Ramsdale, Jimenez, and a couple of defenders and you've got the main dangers covered.

    3. banskt
      • 12 Years
      3 years, 9 months ago

You have 3 FTs for 28, 29 and 30... so that will be 7 players. A couple of hits and you will already have 9 players for GW30. If you get in the big hitters, that could be enough but will lead you to a dead end, with many players who you don't for the rest of the season. So, you can use your WC to fix your team for the rest of the season. You can even use your FTs and hits as if you are playing a FH over 3 weeks, and a WC after 31 to get back everyone you lost for navigating these 3 weeks.

If you use your WC now, then you will get a few more players for 30 and DGW players for 28 & 29 but you will be left with a less desirable team for the rest of the season.

If you are following the first strategy (WC in GW31), then here's a possible route:
      GW28. DDG > Sa
      GW29. Coufal > Tierney
      GW30. Salah + Edouard > Kane + Maddison (-4)
You can do any such variation. This is just an example.

    4. KieranKA
      • 4 Years
      3 years, 9 months ago

I don't think WC is necessary.
My moves would be Coufal to Saïss and Édouard to Jiménez (–4). That gives you 5 DGWers this week by my count, even if two are Watford strikers, and 6 next week.

In DGW29 you can bring in Tierney for Williams, at which point you have 7 for BGW30 and can easily get up to 8-9 with minimal hits

    Foster
    Digne Kilman Coady Cancelo White
    Salah Son Bernardo
    Kane Dennis

    Ramsdale Bowen Weghorst Gray

    Transfer used this week. 5 DGW in 28 & 6 in GW29:
28 - Coady Kilman Digne Foster Dennis
29 - Salah Kane Son White Gray (+1 FT)

Have 2 FH’s. Would you save WC 36 or use this week. Keep changing mind.

I'd use it now or sooner than GW36. For me it's better to plan a few weeks ahead with WC and going in GW36 is just getting some bang for your buck for 3 GWs. Especially with 2 FHs left.

I don't like this team. Too much money at the front. Saka, Ramsdale, VVD on bench! I can foresee lots of hits trying to remove non-performing assets and redistributing money from the forward to other positions in the future weeks.

      1. GreennRed
        • 14 Years
        3 years, 9 months ago

Each to thei own. Foster has two games and is in form. Ramsdale has one. I have Cancelo and Kuluveski on the bench but starting Schar, Bednarek, Raphinha on WC because they have two games this week. Need to pick players beyond GW28 when I have chance

    4. KieranKA
      • 4 Years

Too soon for Vardy imo. Downgrade to Jiménez gives you enough money for major upgrades. For instance, VVD becomes Robertson, Kulusevski becomes Raphinha, T. Silva becomes Rüdiger, Kilman becomes Saïss and you've still got more than 1m left over

      1. KieranKA
        • 4 Years

Not wedded to those specific upgrades, but I would take Robertson, Rüdiger, Saïss, Raphinha, Jiménez over Van Dijk, T. Silva, Kilman, Kulusevski, Vardy in a heartbeat

Really depends on whether you plan on FH30.

If not, this is a decent draft. I would get Foster over Dubrávka and Raphinha over Mount, and use the extra cash to upgrade Livramento (maybe Saïss)

Would you WC this team here?
Double Chelsea d, 2/3 Spurs and some Newcastle/Villa looking better options atm.
    Just WC, 1 FH left.

    Ramsdale.
    Cancelo, TAA, Laporte, Saiss.
    Foden, Ramsey, Raphinha, Salah.
    King, Lacazette.
    Bach, Tierney, Bowen, Antonio.
    1ft, 2.6m ITB.

    GW28- 4 doubles
    GW 29- 5 doubles atm.
    GW 30- 8 doubles atm.

    1. KieranKA
      • 4 Years

Wouldn't wildcard, and I'd certainly play Tierney over Laporte with that team. The trouble with Villa assets is that you won't want them after this week.

My move would be Antonio to Jiménez and Laporte to Rüdiger (–4). That's six doubles this week, you can easily make it six next week, and you still have eight available for GW30

    2. Casual Player
      • 5 Years

Yeah I think you're really only 2-3 moves required to setup you up for the next 5-6 GWs.

Laporte to Chelsea defender, get rid of King and/or Antonio, could upgrade Foden to Son next week.

As tasty as Boro. Spurs form is wildly inconsistent. I got Kane and Kuluveski on WC but won't hold my breath too long.

Nope so far the best WC team I've seen today.

Kilman can also become Livra to attack dgw28

Cheers. I was planning to avoid FHing in 30 which means I’ll likely bench the WOL boys in 29 and keep for 30-32 as they have good fixtures. Livra also blanks in 30.

        Team above has
28: 7 DGWers + Trent, Son, Salah, Kane (premiums)
29: 8 DGWers + James, Raphina, Broja (good fixtures)
        30: 9 starters (with 2FTs spare)

      Kane + Son enough IMO

Don't have the team value for it myself and going for Kane + "home brand Son" aka Kulusevski

    TAA Tierney VVD Digne Saiss

    Rate my WC
    Sa (Dubravka)
    Rudiger Kilman Robbo TAA (Tierney)
    Salah Ramsey Coutinho Raph (saka)
    Jimenez Broja (Laca)

    Coutinho becomes Son in 29

Looks good, prefer Cancelo over Robbo as can see some. Rotation. Not a fan of double Villa as they aren't in great form. Arsenal's double is not the best so not sure about the triple up. What do you think of mine below?

Maybe I am missing something, but thinking for those on WC it makes sense to go heavy on Spurs? Only team with a nice DGW in 29, and a game in 30? Currently on this:

    Dubr (Rams)
    Rudi Coady TAA (Canc, Dier)
    Salah(c) Son Willock Raph (Kulu)
    Kane Broja Jimi

£££ in the bank to do Willock to Saka. How is it looking?

Nice team. Another alternative is Coady to Saiss for greater goal threat. Willock can be another cheaper arsenal later

While I have Son myself, I wouldn't go crazy in investing in Spurs. Just don't pass the eye test for me. I've drained my forward line of funds to have the midfield and defense i want, and while Kane may burn me, i like a 5-4-1 or 4-5-1 without cash sinks like Kane. Maybe he's gonna 'splode like the Kane of old.

    Thoughts please guys:

    Dubravka
    TAA Robertson Saiss Kilman
    Salah Raphinha Coutinho Ramsey
    Jimenez Broja

    Ramsdale Son Lacazette Tierney

    1FT, 0.2itb

Robertson >> Rudiger / Silva / Alonso (using the FT) to get some Chelsea DGW cover ?

Anything else to get say Havertz in?

How many hits you taking for this BB team?
I'm looking at -12 currently, unsure if to play it this week or wait til 36
Happy to get rid of the chip before wildcard though

Robbo to Rudi/Silva makes sense, what would you do in 29 when pool play twice

This is my team prepped from WC26 so no hits taken yet

Currently planning on just doing the Robertson >> Rudiger move then possibly bringing him back in for 29 or maybe Jota ?!

What moves are you making this week?

I mean chelsea had 1 cs between gw13-22 with the last couple of weeks showing some improvement.
i'm considering silva who is cheaper, has higher ppg and more bonus

for me: depends if I BB. would bring in dubravka for non playing keeper. foden out to son is the plan, antonio to broja maybe to fund it then it's whether I lose bowen (willock/jwp) or bring in chelsea defender.

either way, i'm not setup well for gw30 but still not using second FH

these moves I would bb this week
otherwise would wait til 36 but won't know whether that's wise given unknown fixtures

Go for it mate, join me in the BB club… remember when we used to make joint decisions and they paid off… then we stopped and it’s been downhill since (well for me anyway, barely treading water atm)

Haha cheers I’ve got one eye on 30 but just have to accept a red arrow that week.
Will need to be smart and just check how I’m placed for 29.
You’re obviously in a better position this week but will need to navigate for longer having used wc

Current Squad with 1 WC, 1 FH, and BB left:
Foster, TAA, Cancelo, Cash, Jota, Bowen, Salah, Bruno, Saka, Laca, Dennis
    Guita, King, White, Johnson

    A) Bruno > Coutinho/JWP and King > Jimenez
    B) Bruno > x? MID and one of Laca/Dennis/King to x? FWD

Both for a -4 hit. Thoughts? Would like to save my FH and WC for a bit later.
