Gameweek 29 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) continues at Selhurst Park this evening, with Crystal Palace hosting table toppers Manchester City at 20:00 GMT.

Pep Guardiola sticks with the same XI that beat Manchester United so convincingly in Gameweek 28.

That means Joao Cancelo recovers from illness to feature at left-back, while Nathan Ake also returns to the matchday squad as a substitute.

Further forward, attacking trio Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden all start in Pep’s usual 4-3-3 formation.

Ruben Dias, meanwhile, misses the trip through injury as expected.

As for Palace, they are unchanged from the side that beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 last time out.

Nathaniel Clyne retains his place at right-back, while the returning Joel Ward is named as a substitute.

GAMEWEEK 29 LINE-UPS

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Kouyate, Schlupp, Gallagher, Olise, Zaha, Mateta

Subs: Butland, Matthews, Ward, Tomkins, Ayew, Eze, Benteke, Edouard, Riedewald

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Cancelo, Rodri, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Mahrez, Grealish, Foden

Subs: Steffen, Carson, Ake, Sterling, Gundogan, Jesus, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Mbete

    I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong, and he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be called Cancelo

This means I just get Hwang off my bench, and not Digne as well.

I spent ages picking who to bench this week and it didn't even matter.

True. But if they can win these next 2 before liverpool, even a loss against pool i'd still have city as favourites. City have too easy of a run after pool

    2. banskt

Its not that difficult. There are two approaches:

      (1) choose a few teams that you think will score a lot or keep in clean sheets and bring in all attacking / defensive players from those teams. Example, 3 Leicester / Spurs attackers, double Wolves defense, etc.

      (2) distribute your risk by choosing the 7 taslisman in the attack of 7 teams, 3 fullbacks + 1GK from 4 teams with highest chance of clean sheet.

Choose your strategy and the team will then pick itself.

Not really I think. If you can choose one of the strategies I said above, picking the actual team is pretty easy in my opinion.

Same in my opinion. just get the best attacking player from each team, whoever scores.

That would mean Barnes, Coutinho, Saka, Raphinha, Kane, Jimenez and one of Benrahma / Eriksen / Toney. Plus, 3 defenders + 1 GK from Leicester, Spurs, Wolves and Arsenal -- mix and match.

              1. Bubbles1985
                • 9 Years
                4 years, 1 month ago

                Thanks again.

Was pretty much the player list I had in my notes.

Coin toss between Toney and Benrahma. Thinking Benrahma due to other injuries.

GK is Ramsdale. Set and hope!

I am also wondering whether to keep Son. I think I prefer KdB over Mahrez, but if I get Mahrez I can afford both Havertz (over Raphinha) and Robbo instead of Laporte instead of only one of them.

        1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
          • 5 Years
          4 years, 1 month ago

I have had him and Kane together since GW26, it has done me well but keeping Kane was always priority. I may end up considering punting on Sancho instead with ManUtd's fixtures but regardless I think one Spurs attacker is enough considering the cost and looking at fixtures for the likes of City, Chelsea and ManUtd

Buying both Mahrez and Havertz would require a strong, rather a very strong bench in my opinion.
