FPL Double Gameweek 33 schedule confirmed

My two transfers in this week were Maddison and Martinelli!! Both gave very contrasting emotions!!! Haha

Ate humble pie with a last minute Raphinha > Eriksen move.

But not bad in the end. 53 points from 6 players and just 1 point off the safety score.

Glad there's a break to be honest. Has been a relentless couple of weeks.

Transferred in Jonny, but was going to be maddison if not for ITK saying raphinha would play

Smooth - 63 without a FH.

Rough: Bought Eriksen in for a hit. Also own Ramsdale, Martinelli, Raphinha and Kilman. Went from 9 to 4 active players.

Smooth: 50 net points from my 4 players. Kane (c), Son, Saka and Davies.

Small 1% red arrow, avoided the free hit, avoided the temptation for a -4 for a Leicester defender, transfer of Maddison in went well. Rollercoaster week after Jiminez and Saiss left me -1 on Friday. We move.

Rough = Jimenez. -2 and 2 game ban for a ridiculous sending off decision.

Smooth = 57, small green is ok for a no-FH with no Kane.

Definite smooth. 69 points in a free hit team: Kane captain, Son, Barnes and Saka doing the business as well as having subs for Ramsdale and Raphina.

Even better, the free but was planned for and allowed me to play each week on its merits. 283k to 33k in the last six weeks and wild card still to play (probably after DGW 33).

Smooth: 60 (-4) from 8 players. Maddison coming in was a good transfer and Son (c) did well.

Rough: double Spurs defence (eugh) didn't do well and avoiding having Kane in my team continues to hurt.

120k OR 5GWs ago. Concluded with 88 on FH this GW to take me just outside top 10k. Good run lets hope it continues after the IB.

Friday was my last working day so had a farewell and forgot the deadline.

My captain was set to Lacazette and Son VC.

Was supposed to have 9 players but the usual suspects didn’t turn up and Jimenez red

Can’t complain with 67 and no hits but a WC in 28 set it up with Kane, Son & Saka etc and should have been so much better.

Obviously 3 Wolves for 3 points, Raphina no show and Ramsey blank after benching his points last week was a disappointment

Rough- planned transfers were salah mane broja > Kane Maddison eriksen. Did the transfers after a night out and somehow ended up doing mane saka broja > Kane neves eriksen. Still hurts.

luckily 3 of those 6 were Kane(c), Son & Saka so i ended up on 57pts without hits and a small green arrow

While every fpl podcaster or pro-pundit advised against a free hit this week, I didn't feel comfortable going in with eight or nine players with the possibility of injuiries. So I used a free hit to bring in Son (over Kulesevski), Maddison (over Barnes), Saka (over Martinelli), and Tierney to add to Kane (already had), resulting in 80 points and a season-high GW rank of 39,000. I dodged injuries/illness with Ramsdale, Raphinha, and Digne too. My existing team would have brought in 33 points, so it's a points turnaround of 47. That's good value from a free hit!

Rough, returning to triple Saints next GW.

Smooth = Halved my rank, sitting on 85 points this week and in the top 80k. Free hit team made and extra 50-60 points as oppose to not choosing to free hit.
Also did Sa + Saiss + Pierea to Schmeichel + Johnny + Tiernery in the last second before deadline.

Rough = Nitpicking really but only Jimenez with the -2.

This has been my best week on the season for sure. I really felt I was going against the grain FH when I had the same number of playing players and everyone else (7) when it seemed everyone was against FH as it was a waste. I felt like this season is really tough to climb the ranks as everyone has the same team and plans in the top 150k so you really have to go against the the norm when its viable like this week. Though I got quite lucky a lot of teams who had players no showing like Kilman, Hwang, Ramsdale and Raphina, there was some calculated decisions like not doubling/tripling on wolves or Lecister defenders knowing they would concede, specially picking Son over Kulu and staying away from Aston Villa and Leeds players.

All in all, was the most fun week i think in all my seasons, everything just seemed to go right (and Johnny the absolute legend)

54 points means I got a green arrow from only 7 players after Martinelli's no-show

Green arrow in spite of some poor refereeing decisions (Jiminez red), FPL towers allocating points based on ownership (Kane assist over Son), and having just 7 starters (Ramsdale missing out after deadline).

Free hit probably would have netted me another 20 points, so not too disheartening.

24(-4) tragic week.
Had son but didn't captain.
Had Martinelli, raphinha, jiminez.
Brought in Barnes and toney(c) just didn't pay off.

Smooth - Sam Greenwood's 5 pointer, he's my cheap as chips bench fodder and was never expecting him to play any minutes at all let alone bring offensive return.

Rough - no GK this week due to Ramsdale's injury, hurts even more since Arsenal kept clean sheet.

Rough: Ramsdale, Raphinha, Kilman and Gelhardt no shows and down to 6 players.
Smooth: 63 from 6 players even with Cash and Kulusevski blanking.

62 points on freehit. Happy with that, 800k GW rank and moving up a 30k odd.

Shout out to my 12 year old daughter who also played freehit and scored 72! Son, Saka and Kane(c), plus Martinez and White subbing in for Ramsdale and Raphina. Smooth!

Rough: I decided to wildcard in GW30 as I didn't like the idea of going in with only 7 players, without Kane when I wanted to wildcard in GW31 and could simply try and cover my team going forward while giving me as much as possible in 30 with Kane.

I transferred out Saka and Son, meaning my GW29 team would have scored me somewhere around 55 points (more than my new WC team).

I ended up with a wildcard including Ramsdale, Hwang, Neves, Kilman, Fofana which gave me a combined 2 points.
I'm now immediately moving Kilman to Robertson and next week will look to move Neves to Fraser.

So basically the entire plan to cover the BGW and WC failed almost completely. I ended up with 46 points, around 10 or so fewer points than my old team and I now am going to use up transfers to move to other players.
