Who are the best FPL captain options for Double Gameweek 36?

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are advised to target assets who play twice in Double Gameweek 36 when looking for their next captain.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£11.9m) have emerged as the two outstanding candidates, but are there any outsiders who are perhaps being overlooked?

First, we will assess the fallout of the captain poll, before then analysing the best options, Rate My Team (RMT) and the Premier Fantasy Tools ratings ahead of Saturday’s 13:30 BST deadline.

THE CAPTAIN POLL

As expected, Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are leading the captaincy poll ahead of Double Gameweek 36.

So far, Liverpool’s Salah has been handed 50.17% of total votes by our users. Second-place De Bruyne, meanwhile, has received 18.56% of votes ahead of his double-header against Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The top four is closed by two familiar names: Son Heung-min (£11.0m) and Reece James (£6.4m), with 6.03% and 3.19% respectively.

      Salah out could be disastrous he'll be the main captain choice, likely to play both games too. Kdb was just subbed on 70 and had a bad loss

      Not sure if I would want to play Williams. Maybe choose one of Jesus/Mahrez to leave yourself a bit extra for a defender, at least enough for say, Sessegnon?

      Mr UCL doesn't have any UCL games left. Jesus moving central & Sterling's iffy form open up the AMR spot (although I'm not sure Sterling really does "form" so much as throw out a random mix of blanks & hat-tricks)

        Foden has been very ineffective playing on the left, he played in the Midfield 3 last week and bagged 2 assists. I think he will either play in middle of front 3 or in midfield, Jesus is due to be rotated or could play right of front 3...... I guess this is all guesswork.

      Mahrez versus KDB isn't clear cut IMO. KDB has a lot more minutes and wins BPs 28 / 12 but the other stats are interesting:

      Total points 130 / 158
      Minutes Played 1327 / 1836
      Goals 11 / 11
      Assists 6 / 6

      KDB obviously more security of starts but that does cost you 3.3m. Depends how the rest of your team is set and budget.

    Anyone else having problems using fpl fix? Recently changed my fpl password but Fix is not recognising my new password. However it still allows me to log in using my old password but only uploads data that was effective in wk 35 and does not reflect my wk 36 transfers.

    Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

      Looks good. Maybe just lose Sa? Kane - KDB has its merits this week, but with possible injury cloud I would prob leave it. Would rather have the Son/Kane double for 38

    A) Coutinho & White -> Gordon & Laporte/Alonso for a -4

    Not sure Pukki will score anything, so leaning towards A or C myself. Not relying too much on Everton players either.

    Doherty has to go and probably Weghorst. Could do Cash & Dennis or downgrade Raphina to Gordon to upgrade elsewhere.

      I think it’d be great to have the articles and forums separated and then have different sections within - like I’d love to be able to come here and just talk (non-fantasy) football sometimes with the same community but never really feels right with this setup

      I'm too new to know what its like here over the summer, but I do like prefer the quieter times (weekday mornings mostly) when you its possible to have a little bit of conversation without getting swept away in flying pages. Won't it be a bit dead in June though?
