    Can someone explain the WC structure to me this season. Are we getting an extra one or something?

      Effectively yes. We'll get a pre-season style unlimited transfers before restart after World Cup.

      No. Kulu has same fixtures as Kane and Richarlison surely competing for that spot in the team. If Saka has big game next week will it be Kulu to Saka for hit or whoever next week good scoring mid is?

    I usually get off to a good start in FPL.. this season I find myself at the bottom of my mini-leagues.... it hurts so bad.

    I'm currently considering..

    Cash, Mahrez OUT
    Zinchenko, Kulu IN

    for a 8pt hit, to escape the price rises. Already spent my FT on Kane > Haaland.

    Someone please talk sense into me

        What makes you think he has a good chance if he didn't start this week? Jesus and Sterling were his main competitors, now Foden seems ahead.

        Do you really think Pep will rotate after 1 gw? I think another cameo is more likely.

            No. its my first season watching any football at all.

    (Reposted as just realised this was in wrong thread - doh!)

    Already fed up of my Aston Villa defensive punt and looking to move Cash on. Current options... (£0 ITB)

    A) ZInchenko (bandwagon much?)
    B) Sailba (save myself an extra 0.5 for future move - e.g. maybe Bailey to Martinelli?)
    C) Trippier (Feels a bit sideways, but Newcastle do seem half decent)
    D) Burn (See above, but save 0.5)
    E) Henry (save 0.5 and get in early for Brentford's awesome fixture run)
    F) Mykolenko / Tarkowski (Everton not as bad as expected and could be defensively solid, plus save 0.5m)
    G) Patterson (save 1M to allow moves to Martinelli or Nunez another week?
    H) Just suck it up and hold

        Good advice. Zinchenko isn't going to score every week is he and Leicester could easily put a couple past Arsenal next week, whilst Everton may remain pretty toothless (although they weren't that bad vs Chelsea). Ta!

    WC team done.

    Ward
    TAA - James - Walker
    Salah - Foden - Martinelli - Aaronson
    Haaland - Darwin - Jesus

    Iversen - Andreas - Neco - Patterson

    See you after GW 2 deadline. 🙂

        Do you think? He was no where near it today. City’s wingbacks look to be playing much further back with Halaand.

        I have no evidence to support this except for drunkenly watching the game.

          Tend to agree tbh going on this first match. They played inverted in the midfield when attacking, so a 2-3-5. Average heatmap position for both of them was that of a 6. If Pep intends to use inverted fullbacks going forward to accomodate Haaland then that nullifies the premium for Cancelo.

      Ward & Iverson is really bleak for next 6+ weeks in terms of clean sheet chances

      I don’t think it’s worth the 0.5 saving

    Anyone sticking with Kane or are we all onboard Haaland?

    3 things for me today that I didn’t necessarily expect.

    1) Pens
    2) City played totally different, everyone looked to pass to him
    3) Protected once game won for GW2

    Still have doubts over random benchings but looks too risky not to get onboard.

      Rewind 48 hours and it looks good still. 1 game per player doesnt change that. Thats what Im telling myself.

      Id only be concerned at not having or being able to get easily Haaland. Was a risk going in but haul today, if followed up, could leave you 40 pts behind because of 2 positions. Sonny'll see you through a bit meantime if you dont.

      What was the plan before GW1? Nothing has changed - Salah was always going to be a highly owned excellent option. Son was always an excellent much lower ownership option.

      If you want to change that’s fine?”, but don’t base it on who scored points in GW1

      Depends how brave you want to be. The Liverpool result was a bit unexpected but probably just a blip. Salah is getting results despite not playing brilliantly. Son has the ability to haul and Spurs have done good business this season. My only worry is how many times Conte might sub him. You might want to wait a couple of games to get a better idea of that.

    WC question here - it's been 6+ years since i've played FPL. Is the best time to use it before a handful of double gameweeks? I don't really see the need to use it otherwise really, as long as you don't have lots of injuries.

    Also, we have WC this year, so that gives us an extra lifeline?

      There's no "best time" to use it. Essentially when a total reshuffle is required (16+ points in transfers.)

      There's an unlimited transfers week, so basically a WC in GW 16.

    Given we essentially have another WC, crazy to go really early with the first one?

    Re-correct a team structure now.

      I don't think it's crazy personally

        Baring injuries could get to 8/9 season keepers, so just shuffle the remaining.

        I dunno. Just think there's something to that this season.

    Just finished e3 of All or Nothing Arse
    Enjoyed the first two episodes especially
    Some people who have gained respect boosts so far:

    All non- playing/exec staff +++
    Arteta ++
    Edu ++
    Laca ++
    Saka ++
    J. Kroenke +
    Cedric +
    Tavares +
    Tierney +
    Tierney's chef +

    Of course it's edited, not objective. Any one I've missed? 🙂

          The argument is whether 3 arsenal attackers might be better.

      Nope. Not many shuffling keepers early.

          I don't like GKs from premium attacking teams(includes attacking DEF). Never have, never will. I'll ride the Ward/Iverson combo until the wheels fall off

    Would you just do Kane to Haaland here?

    Ramsdale
    TAA Cancelo Robertson James Perisic
    Salah Martinelli Bailey
    Kane Jesus

    Ward Neto Greenwood Andreas

    Unpopular opinion on here tonight, but I still think Haaland won’t start every game.

      It's City. He won't.

      But in the games he does start he probably scores 20/25 this season. It's whether you have the bench to absorb his benchings or the steel to hold after his 1 point cameos.

      That's the excuse I used to get Kane over him. Didn't stop me from getting Nunez though even though thought he wouldn't start

      no player starts every game, except maybe the goalkeeper.

      I guarantee he won't. Very few players start every game.

      Cancelo started more games than TAA for example.

      Why do people say 'unpopular opinion'? So what? I'll tell you what it is though - it's irrelevant. If you're indirectly trying to make excuses for not owning him, you're only hurting yourself.
