Gameweek 1 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) continues on Sunday with Leicester City v Brentford and Manchester United v Brighton and Hove Albion.

Both games kick-off at 14:00 BST.

£4.0m ‘keeper Danny Ward starts in goal for Leicester following Kasper Schmeichel’s transfer to Nice, with Daniel Iversen on the bench.

However, Ricardo Pereira and Harvey Barnes both miss out, with the former ruled out for six months after rupturing his Achilles in the friendly against Sevilla.

Brentford, meanwhile, hand debuts to defenders Ben Mee and Aaron Hickey, with Thomas Frank opting for a 4-3-3 formation that includes Bryan Mbeumo, Yoane Wissa and Ivan Toney in attack.

Kristoffer Ajer and Sergi Canos are both injured, while Ethan Pinnock is a long-term absentee.

At Old Trafford, Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen both start, while Cristiano Ronaldo is on the bench.

As expected, Anthony Martial misses out, which means Erik ten Hag will deploy Eriksen as a false nine.

There is one change for Brighton from the final friendly against Espanyol, as Adam Lallana starts in place of Enock Mwepu.

Alexis Mac Allister is also in the starting XI after shaking off a recent groin issue, while new signings Levi Colwill and Jeremy Sarmiento are substitutes.

There is no place in the squad for Julio Enciso.

I am very tempted for an early aggressive WC - i also think there will be no 'correct' time to WC, no real fixture swings meaning we will remove all our top 6 guys.

    - My preseason feelings that Darwin at 9mil could get very close to Salah at 13mil is even stronger now - he just sucks up big chances

    - I think Forest , Wolves and Southampton at least for the first few weeks are teams to really target - Forest gave up a huge amount of chances and possession yesterday - looks rife for Bowen

-Wolves look a team struggling in a new formation - 6.5mil mitrovic would be an easy punt

    - Spurs week 3 requires a double up attacking wise - fullbacks i am very wary to touch, will be lots of rotation. Kulu + Kane seems easily attainable

    - I like Maddison and Justin for week 3 versus Soton also, and based on the current WC draft i have now a week 3 bench boost looks very nice.

I think Saka and Mitro is better long term value than Jesus (who will for sure offer value and points) than any 6.5mid, also saliba at 4.5mil is a steal. May warrant a quick arsenal triple up

Current musing if i WC week2 * still not certain

    Sanchez Ward
    TAA Cancelo James Saliba (Justin)
    Saka Martinelli Bowen (Kulusevski, Andreas)
    Haaland(c) Darwin Mitrovic

Would look at bench boost week 3 with Madison and Kane(c) in for Bowen and Haaland , with all 15 having excellent week 3 fixtures

Also like the idea of removing likes of Bailey , Neto, Doherty, Archer, etc and freeing up case from Ederson (Think sanchez and ward will over similar) and Robertson (think Saliba and Justin in rotation can offer similar).

Anyone else looking at an agressive WC?

Jesus plays LEI bou FUL. Yes he didn't score, but he still played well against a very good team away from home. Would not jump off just yet.

That draft is way too reactive. One game is not enough to know that Kulusevski is nailed, or that Darwin will start consistently.

        I agree

But i feel Saka (pens) + mitro (pens) is better than Jesus + 6.5

I'd rather have Martinelli + Mitro and push the funds elsewhere.

Mitro is outstanding and I did want him in but I still think Jesus over the next 5 can outperform him. The fixtures are really good.
