Rounding off the day’s Premier League action is Brentford v Manchester United, which gets underway at 17:30 BST.

It’s a game that has relatively little riding on it from a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) perspective: Marcus Rashford is the most-selected player in this fixture with a 10.1% ownership, which about sums it up.

As for the team news, Cristiano Ronaldo is recalled to make his first start of the season in Erik ten Hag’s only change.

Scott McTominay is the player to make way.

Thomas Frank goes to a wing-back system for the visit of the Red Devils, making two changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Leicester City last week.

Mads Roerslev and £4.5m FPL midfielder Josh Dasilva are promoted to the starting XI as Vitaly Janelt and Yoane Wissa drop out.

GAMEWEEK 2 LINE-UPS

Brentford XI: Raya, Hickey, Jansson, Mee, Henry, Norgaard, Roerslev, Jensen, Dasilva, Mbeumo, Toney.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw, Fred, Fernandes, Eriksen, Sancho, Rashford, Ronaldo.

    Hard to see an escape from Neto/Bailey. Rodrigo looks good, but with Chlesea and Brighton next, i think its best to hold off on him. Maybe for those of us with 2FT we might have to sacrifice Robertson?

    If you have 2.5 itb, have Martinelli and want to get rid off Bailey. Is Rodrigo the obvious candidate or anyone else I’m missing ?

    I have 2FT, 0 ITB. Would you do:
    Robbo to Walker (get some money) and Neto to Martinelli?
    Move Saka the following week?

    Current team
    Sanchez
    TAA - James - Cancelo - Robbo
    Saka - Salah - Bailey - Neto
    Halland - Jesus

    A) Rashford -> Rodrigo
    B) Rashford -> Dasilva
    C) Bailey -> Dasilva
    C) Rashford + Bailey - > Dasilva + Rodrigo

      Rodrigo in before Chelsea might be a bit much.

      Owning 2 of Rashford, Neto & Bailey would make me consider taking a -4 ahead of next week. To get rid of both, but be able to either go ultra cheap midfield and upgrade properly somewhere else, or downgrade a third player to be able to aford a 8mil mid.

    Wildcard representing just a 3 point increase over my previous team. Darwin Kulu Salah TAA James to go, but I had those last 4 prior to WC.

    So, the fate of my WC is literally just in Darwin’s hands!

    With 2 FTs and 0ITB what do you think about Bailey -> DaSilva and banking .5 and the other FT?

    Then maybe go for 2-3 transfers after GW3.
    Would do the transfer tonight to chase the price on DaSilva, because it is a short term move with Damsgaard eating into DaSilvas currently already limited minutes. But hopefully a 0.1 gain when I sell on WC in a few GWs

    Maybe look at spending the .5 on the keeper upgrade next GW, but home against Southampton I feel okay keeping Ward & Iversen, and to be honest I think Iversen could get a start after today.

    Ward
    TAA - Robertson - Cancelo - James
    Salah (C) - Saka - Martinelli - Andreas
    Haaland - Jesus

    (Iversen, DaSilva, Williams, Archer)

    Has anyone seen Newcastle play? Two clean sheets against NOT, BRI.

    Any attacking threat from Trippier? Has Man City next and getting Walker/Ake instead might be a good idea, even for -4.

      • 10 Years

      Forest were shocking and hardly any attacking intent. Brighton were the better team today, but couldn't score. Pope probably man of the match and Trippier did a goal line clearance.

      I don't think Man City will waste chances the way Brighton did today.

      Trippier is on corners and could have had an assist, but Burn headed over. No Targett today so he didn't share the corner duties.

        Robertson is obviously a fantastic pick. But its about price points. There are no good 5-5.5m mids. There are plenty of great 5m defenders.

        1. Salarrivederci
          • 9 Years
          3 years, 8 months ago

          I don't disagree, but as Cancelo, James, TAA and Robbo will prove throughout the season is, that they are BPS and assist machines. More so than those great 5mil defenders (Trippier might match them in some periods).

          I just look at those fixtures till GW8 and think that Robbo will come good.

          I would not do those transfers today at the very least.
          One of the guys have not even played yet. The other has 2 goals in 2 games, but has played 31 and 62 minutes, and with Damsgaard in the team he will most likely be on your bench every week (I do however think you could be to gain some 0.1 gains). And the third player is not an upgrade in defense to the guy you're selling.

            Bang average ! But I like my team. Foden wax a great move , well played.I'm sticking with Mount for next 3. Watched Man C game today and KDB was awesome - considering him over Haaland. I think the pricing has made the game very interesting this year.

              Cheers, can't really go back to Mount myself or I may as well have kept. KDB is continuing on from the end of last season. Will be keeping Haaland and probably getting a 2nd MC def as I don't trust Foden and co. Strong template but plenty of places to make up ground.

      I'm keeping Sterling now because of their fixtures. If I had Mount I'd do the same. WC burning a hole in my pocket but it's mostly really fringe players I'm worried about, so probably hanging fire. Ward's next fixture okay.
