Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to be working with Fanslide, a completely new kind of Fantasy game played live on one-off matches.

Fanslide’s unique app is set to take the Fantasy world by storm, with managers making live decisions throughout the game.

TRY OUT FANSLIDE THIS WEEKEND

How to play Fanslide

In Fanslide, you choose three players at any given time by ‘sliding’ them into the game when you think they’ll perform well.

However, each individual player can only be used for a maximum of 20 minutes, so manage their time wisely. Rather than picking premium assets and sitting back, you’ll need a strategy to maximise your points return. To help with this, players can be removed at any time to save their remaining minutes for later.

Powered by live Opta data displayed on a vidiprinter, players win and lose points for a range of actions. For example, a goal is worth 20 points, with one given for each dribble or interception. Defenders earn clean sheet points if they don’t concede in the 20 minutes that you have them.

Although there are a lot more points on offer than in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), the scoring is easy to pick up. Players then earn single, double or treble points depending upon which spot you slide them into.

So a goal when Mohamed Salah is in ‘x3’ brings in 60 points and three Bournemough defenders who don’t concede in the opening 20 minutes will pick up 30 points plus whatever else they’ve earned for blocks, saves, headers won etc.

You can read the full rules here.

Why Fanslide?

Fanslide is free to download and play, with cash prizes on selected matches such as the £500 up for grabs for Monday’s clash between Manchester United and Liverpool (for players in Great Britain).

The game has been designed and built by a group of football-loving friends in London who were frustrated with in-play betting and decided to create a more exciting live Fantasy-style game instead.

“Fanslide adds a whole new layer of excitement when you’re watching football on TV. It’s immersive and interactive and while you’re competing against your mates and the rest of the world, you’re also seeing the game through a different lens, noticing players and their contributions in a new way.”

“We wanted to create a better way of adding excitement to football than just betting on it, and with Fanslide you can use your knowledge and reading of the game to win. If you’d like to deposit and bet on the outcome of your games, you can choose to do so in a safe and sustainable way, but Fanslide is and always will be, free-to-play.” – founder Joe Cocozza

How to get involved

Join the Fantasy Football Scout group on Fanslide by clicking here. There’s an Academy section in the app with ‘How to Play’ guides, hints and tips but the best way to learn is by getting stuck into a game. Practice some slides this weekend and see if you can take home a share of Monday’s big prize pot.

Fanslide is a licensed betting product. You must be 18 or older to play and if you do choose to deposit money and place bets, please always remember to gamble responsibly.

Risky. This week could be Saka’s. Apart from that good transfers.

Yay, I feel like those saying Saka is due or it’s his time aren’t watching the games. Marti is objectively a better choice even before price comes into consideration. Saka form has been slumping for months now but somehow he gets a free pass because of past exploits.

Thanks for this... i haven't seen the games so thats interesting! Annoyingly i was going to start with Martinelli. I think Saka has to be my fall guy

He’s quite wide, quite deep and seems to lack the intensity of the others in both games so far. Capable of points inasmuch as he is still one of the front 4 in a very exciting attack with prime fixtures, but that Digne to James swap shows just how well used that 2 m saving can be.

The only caveat is that the depth is down to having to cover Ben White at RB so Tomiyasu back might see him become more integrated up top.

Really good insight thanks. If he returns or not, like you say the use of funds to bring in James is worth it. I was convinced by Martinelli at the end of last season and very annoyed i didn't stick with him form the start. To watch he's very positive and direct on the ball and looks very hungry.

"Saka's form has been slumping for months now but somehow he gets a free pass because of past exploits..."

        What a load of codswallop...

Saka has been playing well in attack and also in covering for Ben White in defence, and yes I do watch the games...

Wildcarded because I was holding too many price fallers and didn't have some of the big price risers... Far earlier than I'd have liked but as the poundland version of Winston Churchill infamously said "them's the breaks"

From memory... It gets progressively harder for players to rise more than once in value a week, but this difficulty is reset after the deadline, correct?

e.g. let's say it needs 100k net transfers to rise once, then it's something like an additional 200k to rise twice, and an additional 400k to rise three times etc? So if a player has risen only once, and has then gained a further 150k net transfers by Saturday morning, the price rise threshold will reset and they will rise Saturday evening, yes?

The amount of transfers (in or out) for each player is reset to zero at each deadline...

I was planning to start Ward but I think I've changed my mind. BHA looking really solid & havent lost to WHU for ages, WHU not quite as fluent in attack as last year. Think Southampton get battered but maybe score

    Ramsdale
    TAA Cancelo Robertson, James Perisic
    Salah Martinelli Neto
    Haaland Jesus

    Ward, Bailey, Andrea, Archer

Playing two of Perisic, Neto & Bailey hasn't worked so far. How do these moves sound ?

    A) Perisic & Neto to Neco Williams & Gross (leaving MITB for Bailey to Rodrigo next GW)

    B) Neto & Bailey to Gross and D Siliva (or 4.5m)

Would you take a hit (-4) to get Eze* in Bailey's place? He would replace Patterson or Andreas in the starting XI

    Ramsdale
    TAA, Cancelo, James, Patterson*
    Salah, Martinelli, Foden, Andreas*
    Jesus, Haaland

Dont think its worth it tbh - good chance to use bench as good okish fixtures - im in same boat really, Andreas and Silva both in team this week

    Any thoughts on this WC?

    Raya (Ward)
    Cancelo James Cucu Zinc (Neco)
    KDB Kulu Maddison Martinelli (Pereira)
    Haaland Jesus (Fodder)

May go Maddison to Diaz next GW depending how Pool plays against United.

Banking on City. Diaz comes in for Maddy so Pool attacking coverage will be there.

Would you do anything to this lot? I could lose Robertson or Saka to release funds and sort the keepers next week, but I'm not completely sold on the replacements...

    A. Robbo, Bailey > Walker, Gross

    B. Robbo, Neco > Walker, Cucurella

    B. Just do Bailey > Reed and reassess next week

    Start 1:

    A. Neco (eve)
    B. Andreas (BRE)
    C. Patterson (NFO)

    Start 1:

    1. Ward (SOU)
    2. Sanchez (whu)

For how long Matip will be out? Will Gomez get a run for next 3-4 weeks?

Is it worth punting on him on WC if no other Pool defensive asset?

    1. BrockLanders
      • 11 Years

Konate & Matip seem at least 3/4 weeks away, so Gomez will definitely start with VVD

        • 4 Years

Just looked at Klopps comment and he has said Matip 2 weeks out. Do you think it will be 3/4 weeks?

Same dilemma I have in my draft team. I'm starting Mendy in goal so currently on DaSilva.

However, Rodrigo will start and Leeds are capable of scoring, so in normal FPL I would start Rodrigo.

      1. CarelessGenius©

Dasilva against Fulham though, after last week's mauling of ManU?
Chelsea should keep a cleanie, I reckon....

Rodrigo is nailed and Leeds at home are more than capable of scoring against Chelsea.
