Before Saturday’s Gameweek 3 deadline, make sure to join Mark Sutherns and Andy North tonight at 7:45 pm for their live stream chatting about all things Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

Mark, a four-time top 1k finisher, collected 55 points in Gameweek 2, having used a free transfer to bring Erling Haaland (£11.7m) in for Harry Kane (£11.4m).

Whilst his beloved Nottingham Forest won their first home Premier League in over 23 years, the seven points of Neco Williams (£4.0m) were stranded on the bench.

Meanwhile, his lack of Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) paid off on Monday night, as the FPL superstar blanked against Crystal Palace.

As well as revealing their Gameweek 3 teams and transfers, Mark and Andy also answer some questions from those tuning into the stream live.

Only Premium Members of Fantasy Football Scout will be able to watch the video below, so make sure you sign up today to get access to not just this stream but also exclusive YouTube content from Mark throughout the 2022/23 campaign.

FPL Marc Broadcaster, writer and overthinker. Hoping that ‘differential potential’ will catch on.

      Andreas.

Probably doesn't matter. Andreas will get auto-subbed anyway.

Aaronson. If in doubt put your money on the field.

Everton will score so it all depends on who you think will get an attacking return and I back Aaronson over the other two.

    Ramsdale
    TAA Robertson Cancelo James NWilliams

So I've got my wildcard but to make the most ideal team, I Ward and Iversen. How bad really is this strategy if it allows you to get this team?

James, TAA, Cancelo, Saliba, N Williams
    KDB, Diaz, Kulu, Martinelli, DaSilva
    Jesus, Hal, Taylor

ps is there a better 4.5m attacker?

scratch that, he hasn't even played any minutes 😀

      1. banskt
        • 13 Years
        4 years, 28 days ago

Yeah, but Ward is first choice and Iversen is second choice at Leicester. It will be Ward who will play the minutes, unless injured or red-carded.

    2. banskt
      • 13 Years
      4 years, 28 days ago

Not a bad strategy at all. Leicester kept 7 clean sheets last season, even with European fixtures and injuries. Expect them to keep at least the same. That is 130 points.

Having said that, if you could play the fixtures and pick the correct 4.5 options throughout the calendar, you may get 160-180 points for just a 0.5m extra. But, picking the correct 4.5 option is not so easy and it costs a few transfers.

Hadn't even considered rotating keepers like that. Price rises would make it a bit of a pain, but otherwise it's a good shout!

Almost identical to my W.C. except I have downgraded Cancello to Walker to allow for Raya over Iverson and Zinchenko over Saliba.. I just couldn't W.C. and have the Leicester guys in the sticks.

Yes, but there is a reason he has gone up by 0.1......Because he is under-priced and remains so even if at 5.5 in my opinion. Just can't see the 2 million difference between Walker and Cancello being value at all.

Similar to an earlier draft of my own. However, I decided against as does not easily allow for one of the many 8.0m mids that are likely to be in everyone's Teams. Too many to list, but Diaz, Kuku, Mount, Madds for starters.
Also Dasilva will rise again tonight so selling to take profit and for a 4.4/4.5 mid to sit on bench

Been that way all week tbf…..set pieces, crosses into the box, touches in the box, shots at goal blah blah after his good showing in the last (home) game. Nope they won’t keep a clean sheet although to be fair they are playing Everton 😆 which I guess accounts for the interest. I’d bench in favour of Andreas if he’s fit tbh.

Ake a good differential over Walker or pointless?

I'd say equal to, only thing is might need a transfer used earlier when Laporte is fit again

Higher points potential but big risk of losing his spot when Laporte is back so shorter term option than Walker.

Are Manchester United becoming the Real Madrid Legends team? They definitely won't win anything but they'll certainly sell a few shirts.

    Tough captain choice this week:

    A: Haaland
    B: Jesus
    C: Salah

    What’s everyone thinking?

Jesus for me and here's why. He was electric pre-season and he's going to Bournemouth off the back of a spectacular 19 pointer against Leicester. Haaland disappointed most of us last weekend and he now plays against an improving team with an impressive home record since they turned the corner last January. Salah has been frustrating since AFCON and has possibly become a little to predictable to opposition defenders imo.

Right last time if asking I promise…

    Ederson Ward
    TAA Cancelo Robertson James Gabriel
    Salah Martinelli Neto Pereira Dasilva
    Haaland Jesus

    0.5 ITB
    2 FTs

    Would you:

    A. Neto -> Gross, roll FT
    B. Robertson + Neto -> Cucurella + Diaz

B as I think you’re too defense heavy and need that 8.0 midfield slot to give you some flexibility / balanced squad

Still think big at the back is fine, people just getting itchy feet after 2 weeks. But yeah you should probs beef up that midfield a little bit.

        B looks good.

None really needed but Gabriel to Walker and Neto to Rodrigo could be options

If Liverpool fail to keep a clean sheet are you keeping the defenders & keeper?

    1. Mr. O'Connell

Yes because they play Bournemouth, Everton and Wolves afterwards.

Usually I'd just keep as you know they're always going to come good. I think they may be suffering with no Thiago defensively though so could be open to losing Robbo given I already have TAA. Would probably only be to facilitate bringing in an extra Liverpool attacker though.
