Riski IMO, Mount against a leaky Leicester, and Rodrigo against a solid Brighton away

I think Chelsea re missing a striker and haven't finished their business yet. With the right final piece of the puzzle, Mount and Sterling could start firing.

Yeh, or Ronaldo! I avoided starting with any offensive assets for this reason. James is sound, and I got Cucurella this week although I'm not so sure if that was wise.

So many Mount sellers and I think to get him in on wc. Is that mad? Giving that there are good chices in that price range( Foden, Diaz, Maddy). Che fixtures are very good and they need to start playing.

Depends. I think mount is a decent option for the 8m bracket but diaz is just the best by far - so unless you already have 3 pool (or plan to get Nunez) then I'd just get Diaz.

    Shocking GW.

    Ward
    TAA Cancelo James Cucurella
    Salah Saka Martinelli Bailey*
    Haaland Jesus
    Iversen // Andreas / Neco / Archer

Plan this week was going to be Bailey to:
    A) Rodrigo
    B) Gross.

    If any. Which.

Alternatively, could choose to wildcard? Thoughts?

Ward/Iversen; Saka; Bailey; double Chelsea defence perhaps not as good as considered? Archer deadweight.

I think Rodrigo. Rest of the team isn't WC-worthy, and I don't think the team you would create on a WC is going to be obviously much better.

    Mount to...

    A) Rodrigo (only worry is his place in the starting line up with Bamford back soon and Sinisterra getting more mins)
    B) Harrison
    C) Aaronson
    D) Zaha
    E) Saint Maximin (plan to get Trippier soon so less sure of him)

Struggling to convince myself that spending any money (and transfer/points) there is worth it when we have a free GK combination. Of course, in hindsight, it would have been so far... if I picked the right one. 8 GKs on 2.0 PPG or less so far, including even Alisson. Maybe Ward gets 2 CSs in the next 3 or 4 games and a few save points. Free points!

Ah, I didn't see the match in fairness - just didn't seem to be getting too many save points. I wasn't expecting many CS from Leicester, but thought they might keep within close distance of Raya/Sanchez this season.

Goalkeeper transfers always seem like a waste anyway, so I'll probably hold and reassess next GW.

Do you reckon? I quite like having him as my only City defensive cover, can see him coming good over the long run too. City usually bounce back quickly after any setback and three fixtures against Palace, Forest (both home) and Villa away seem good chances to do so.

        1. Free Hat
          • 6 Years
          3 years, 6 months ago

Hard to say because i have him as well.
But out of your defence he would be the only one I d consider downgrading tbf.
Taa is taa and james for me is good value at 6mil.
Cancelo looks more expensive at 7mil. Dias was more a threat today than cancelo for instance.
          But yeah its tough decision

          1. Kobayashi
            • 6 Years
            3 years, 6 months ago

I always look at players like Cancelo (and TAA/James) as basically midfielders, whereby the CS (which they usually get more often than not) is simply an added bonus. I'm actually really enjoying this season so far because of players like Rodrigo, Harrison, Groß emerging at interesting prices alongside the Mitrovic renaissance.

I think City were up against a tough Newcastle side today who went toe to toe with them - Pep always learns from these situations and adapts the team quickly, so I do expect a bounce back from them soon. Also worth noting I have Kane rather than Haaland, so not sure I'm comfortable only having Gündogan as my sole City 'cover'.

Don't understand all these Ward statements.

He's a 4.0 keeper that starts games, why get rid?

Threshold to WC should be lower than normally this season. My current team is

    Ward/Iversen*
    TAA, Cancelo, Perisic, James*, Cucurella*
Salah, Martinelli, Kulu(*), Da Silva, Andreas
    Haaland, Jesus, Archer
    0.9 itb, 1 ft

I am seriously considering following transfers:
    R James to Neco W
    Iversen to Pope
    Da Silva to Rodrigo
Kulu to Diaz (just to target Bou)

I'd like to kerp Reece J, but without Kante double Che def doesn't feel nice. So I could just hope Cucurella + Pope to overscore James and Ward. When am I going to need WC more than now? Thx for comments in advance! Maybe just Kulu to Rodrigo for the price rise today though?

Honestly, you are fine by just doing 4.0 keeper to 4.5 Sanchez Raya Henderson whichever you like. Team is good for next GW and assess GW5. If you don't like double CHE def, just play Dasilva or Andreas.

If you look at your team for the fixtures next week you are looking good squire

I would just get Sanchez in.

Kulu has a great fixture against a team that concede loads of chances.

Rodrigo plays a Brighton team who have let in 1 goal which I think was an own goal so he can wait another week.

      Go with your gut tho

    41 points GW Rank 3,883,714

    OFF 10K 76

With Salah(C) and Trent to go so hopefully 5,642,957 rank will hopefully show slight improvement after the match tomorrow.

6 of my players returned this GW already.

GW2 cut holes with Saliba -1, Mitro -1 and Darwin -2. 🙂 Try and beat that luck!

    Baby steps

Other than that, I am quite content with the way things are going.

    Best option here?

    A) Neto to Rodrigo
    B) Robertson + Neto to Cucurella + Diaz
    C) Save and do B for free next week

A, keep Robbo and it's all sorted. You don't want Cucurella believe me

Looking at, possibly, bringing in Rodrigo but not 100%.

    What do you think?

    Sanchez
    Cancelo James Zinchenko TAA
    Andreas Diaz Martinelli Salah
    Jesus Haaland

    Ward, N. Williams, Neto, Archer

        I'm not that rich lol!

        It'd be Neto making way.

    Best Cap?

    Raya,
    James, Saliba, Walker, Trent,
    Bailey, Martineli, KDB, Salah,
    Jesus, Hauland

    Ward, Andreas, Neco, Taylor

Prob Rodrigo. Likely on pens when no Bamford as well.

OOP Rodrigo. Harrison if feeling maverick. Both if you're mad.

    Current team is:

    Ward/Iverson
    James TAA Cancelo Zinchenko Neco
    Martinelli Aaronson Salah Andreas Kulusevski
    Haaland Jesus Archer

    0.9 ITB.

Aaronson to Rodrigo is tempting given the form of Rodrigo, and the imminent price rise. Good move or too sideways?

I'd hold Aaronson, looked really good

True - and for the third goal he was right there in the box too. Just difficult constantly seeing Rodrigo scoring/assisting for only 0.7 more I guess!

      Iverson -> Sanchez

Not sure I want to bet against Leeds scoring at the moment. Think it's a move I'll make GW5/6, or on WC if other issues come up. I can accept 1/2 pointers from a 8m keeper duo at present.

Maybe roll and assess after Brighton?

Might be convincing myself since I also own Aaronson but I feel like if you already have either Aaronson/Harrison then no need to go in on Rodrigo just yet.

Thinking of two moves, for a hit
Mount and Bailey to Diaz and Rodrigo.
Would you do Mount to Rodrigo tonight, and then Bailey to Diaz if there are no injuries tomorrow? Or just hold?

    1. Mighty Quinn
      • 11 Years

Yes makes sense. Bailey not dropping tonight so should be ok.

That's some nice cash itb. Rodrigo rising tonight, so Bailey to Rorigo 1st I'd say. Then see what tomorrow brings...

Hey lads. 2ft and 0,4m itb.

    ramsdale
    taa cancelo james trippier
    salah mount martinelli eze
    haaland jesus

    (ward andreas greenwood neco)

    a) mount -> rodrigo
    b) mount+trippier -> rodrigo+dunk (to fund greenwood->toney next gw)
    c) mount -> maddison/diaz
    d) something else?

Doesn’t feel right off the back of 2 goals but looking at Maddison and Mitro to Toney and Rodrigo.

Bit knee jerk? Form, fixtures and prices rising

Bailey and N Williams to Perisic and 4,4m mid for -4 worth it? (Depending Cafu or Diallo drop tonight)

    Thanks
