Erling Haaland (£11.8m) was the star turn of the evening with a hat-trick and a 17-point haul, with Gameweek 5 captaincy rival Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) having to make do with two assists in Liverpool’s last-gasp 2-1 win over Newcastle United – a match in which Alexander Isak (£7.0m) scored on his Magpies debut.

Gabriel Martinelli (£6.4m) and Gabriel Jesus (£8.2m) continued their fine starts to the season with goals for Arsenal against struggling Aston Villa, while Harry Kane (£11.4m) made it four attacking returns in as many matches with an assist in Tottenham Hotspur’s draw with West Ham United.

Managerless Bournemouth, the side thrashed 9-0 by Liverpool on Saturday, managed to hold Wolverhampton Wanderers to a goalless draw: that’s now just two goals in five matches for Bruno Lage’s troops.

        Figured he'd get 90, play in an advanced role/second striker as he has played this year and would be used to unlock Forest with Haaland being double and triple teamed. It's not really too much of a stretch. Certainly a risk, and Salah's shoulder assist + 2 bonus put some salt in the wounds.

    It's almost like people forget you can own Haaland(c) AND Salah now on in. Everyone is so obsessed with points per million.. i honestly dunno what id do with Salah sale money considering the players i want to own are Jesus, mitro, Zaha etc and you don't need to break the bank for them

        Kdb i understand.. selling Salah for Kane when spurs attack look as out of sorts as pool's and Salah is still outscoring him + Haaland and Jesus have two fixed spots and you have mitro/Toney available for the 3rd makes the Kane love a bit difficult to digest.

      I am nowhere near being able to afford both and my second most expensive player is Kulusevski and Jesus at 8.2.

      I have Haaland and 4.2 in the bank. Even if I sell Kulusevski I only have 12.3.

        I've got Salah, Haaland, sterling, Jesus, Martinelli, taa, James, Sanchez as my 8 premiums/evergreens I won't remove and decent players around them (gross, Toney, Saliba) . Full playable bench too ie ward, Andreas, neco, Patterson and I'm pretty happy. There are so many good 3rd strikers/cheap mids/sub 5 defenders available that owning Salah even without captaining is pretty easy

      Salah wont keep having this luck. Had the referee just blew the whistle and he would have had 5 pts he would have been sold in masses. Almost all his returns this season & since Afcon have been lucky or penalties
