The Scoreboard presents all the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) numbers you need from Saturday’s matches all on one screen.

As well as LiveFPL‘s rundown of the goals, assists and bonus points from the day’s FPL action, we’re bringing you a selection of the Opta stats that arrive in our Premium Members Area almost immediately after full-time in each fixture.

Ivan Toney (£7.1m) was the top-scoring player of the day with a Haaland-esque 17-point haul, while Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.8m) and Harry Kane (£11.4m) made it six attacking returns in as many matches with goals in Tottenham Hotspur’s win over Fulham.

Erling Haaland (£11.9m) hit the 10-goal mark after scoring in Manchester City’s draw with Aston Villa, meanwhile.

Budget defender Neco Williams (£4.1m) also popped up with an assist in Nottingham Forest’s 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth, while Kieran Trippier (£5.1m) inched his way into second in the FPL defenders’ points table with another clean sheet.

They were rare success stories on a pretty grim day for well-owned FPL assets such as Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), Luis Diaz (£8.2m), Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.5m), Andrew Robertson (£6.8m), Marc Cucurella (£5.2m), Reece James (£6.0m), Ivan Perisic (£5.6m), Dejan Kulusevski (£8.2m), Joao Cancelo (£7.1m) and Son Heung-min (£11.7m), who all blanked.

Our usual Scout Notes article, which summarises more of the main FPL talking points, notable manager quotes and injury news in extraa detail, will follow.

His attacking is great, but his lack of minutes is the problem.

He has played between 6-24 mins in half of the games this season. That alone kills the chances of a clean sheet, not that they got any those games, but the point still stands.

Maybe but Haaland isn’t going to help them defend. I think we see a 3-2 score line with City edging it. Still good for fantasy points from most players

Comparing it to Haaland who is similar price, Kane is the clear loser.

I would like both though, but it's hard to afford 2 big strikers.

I think comparing Kane and Haaland is a mistake though.

Compare Kane with KDB/Son/Salah/Sterling/Bruno. And Kane is the clear winner for second premium.

      TAA in my opinion.

for his 7.5 price, he or his team are not getting the clean sheets. He's a good player, but at 7.5 you need him to do well regularly.

What was his bps like at 58mins? If he got the extra 2 he often takes all 3 bonus, so if he was subbed 2mins later and was sitting on 9points would you still sell?

Same. They are strong right now.

Saliba feels like a premium defender even though he's cheap. That's why I think Dalot might be good value, but maybe I'll wait on him 🙂

You'll only have him as a good option for gw7 against Everton. Fixtures get a lot tougher after that and wouldn't want to be holding any Arsenal defensive assets beyond next week

      1. SalahFingers
        • 8 Years
        3 years, 6 months ago

At 4.8, it's a cheap price for a defender on the current top team.

Only Brighton have left in less goals.

I'd fancy their chances of a Clean sheet this week against Man United since they have clean sheets in every away game this season so far.

At that price point, I don't see anyone better. It frees up some money to upgrade elsewhere too.

    3. JammySprat
      • 7 Years

Clean sheets might be tricky over next 5 for arsenal, I still see them winning despite conceeding mind. Would probably look for more attacking player.

      1. JammySprat
        • 7 Years
        3 years, 6 months ago

Do you have a player from the bench to cover perisic next week? I benched him for N Williams this week and plan to next week then bring him back for Lei haul. Likely more points than Saliba when you pair his hails with Williams 1-4points

        1. SalahFingers
          • 8 Years
          3 years, 6 months ago

Yeah, I can always play N Williams. Forest are away to Leeds next week who have a weakened attack right now cos of injuries.

I would like the option of playing 3 or 4 defenders each week. Having 2 cheapish defenders (saliba + n williams) allows me to do that and afford some upgrade in midfield.

      2. SalahFingers
        • 8 Years
        3 years, 6 months ago

Yeah, they are tough matches for sure, but at 4.8, it's still very cheap, no?

That said, who has better fixtures? I can't see many with really good fixtures.

        * Maybe Bournemouth but they've also left in the most goals (even disregarding the 9-0). Don't think I'd want a defender there.
        * Maybe Leicester but they are really bad this season, so I don't think I want a defender there.
        * Maybe Brentford? Mee looks like a maybe good choice.
        * Maybe Man Utd? their fixtures look on the easier end. I've been eyeing Dalot.
        * Newcastle? I already have Trippier and I don't want to double up.
        * Notts Forest? I already have N Williams and I don't want to double up.

Honestly, I don't see many teams with better fixtures to be honest. Sure, Spurs, Liverpool and Man City in the next 6 games, but it's pretty clean after that.

Yes great value but are you going for best value team or most points? The suggested transfer doesn't seem like a points improvement but depends what you would do with the money.

Agree on your analysis, only missing would be Chelsea coming into nice run.

Well the way I see it is...

            Saliba vs Perisic
            * Saliba saves me 0.7 cash.
            * Saliba plays 90 minutes meaning more chances of clean sheets.
            * Perisic has better attacking potential.
            * Saliba has more BP (best of all defenders actually, with less games)
            * Both teams have very similar fixtures and defensive power
            * Saliba's price is rising (obv depends on this weeks result), Perisic's is dropping.

I don't see a situation that Perisic wins as good as he is.

It's an interesting one. The bonus caveat is that 2 came from the goal and 2 from the hand assist which are PROBABLY outlier events. Let's pin this for 5 weeks and review and learn.

I'm also considering Jesus -> Toney because of course I'm chasing points.. lol

I would suggest either Trent or Cancelo to Saliba. Keep Perisic. At their respective price, you want both clean sheets and attacking points regularly. Trent has exceptional attacking stats but Liverpool has poor defensive stats. On the other hand, Manchester City has exceptional defensive stats but Cancelo has poor attacking stats.

      1. SalahFingers

        > Keep Perisic. At their respective price, you want both clean sheets and attacking points regularly.

I don't get why you said this. The issue is...

        * Perisic has good attacking stats, but doesn't play enough. He has only played more than 60 minutes in half of the games so far. This means he doesn't even have a chance to get a clean sheet in those games. This makes me want to get rid of Perisic. I don't care how attacking he is.
        * Cancelo doesn't have good stats, but his team are doing well defensively AND he's been getting decent attacking points, despite how bad his stats are. More bonus points than Perisic for example and same as Trippier
        * TAA has good stats, but his team are not great these days. I expect that Liverpool will improve though but if not, everyone will be selling TAA. 7.5 for not good points isn't a good investment.

I kinda want to sit on TAA and Cancelo for at least another week. Players that don't play annoy me more. Thanks for the suggestion.

        1. banskt
          • 12 Years

I said that because price / point ratio is poor for Trent and Cancelo, while Persic is cheaper and your point expectation is also lower -- even if he gives you 1 point for half of his games, he will still get the amount of points that you expect from a 5.5m player. On the other hand, you are expecting 180 points from Trent and Cancelo. They need to return clean sheets and occasional attacking points. That's my opinion of course, and there are so many ways to play this game!

Now regarding the points you mentioned:

          * Perisic -- as I said if plays half the games, he could still score 140-150 points, which is what you want from a 5.5m player
          * Cancelo -- has been getting decent (I would say, better than decent) attacking points, but with those stats, it is difficult to keep up. But who knows? Remember Yaya? But more often than not, stats don't lie.
          * TAA -- if you expect Liverpool to improve from the Wolves game, then sure, hold on to him. But if not, you could sell now and buy him back when they start performing again.

Not having any of these big hitters does not mean you have renounced them for eternity. You don't have them now, but you can buy them back any time. Keep rolling 2 FTs, and then it's super easy to get them back whenever you want; even without a WC.

          1. SalahFingers
            • 8 Years

I agree that my point expectation is lower for Perisic, but 5.5 is still quite a lot for someone who played 6 minutes this week. Yet again playing less than 25mins for the 3rd time this season. I'm not willing to keep him on my team and eat up all the 1 pointers even if he does good games from time to time. With cheaper defenders, I have issues benching.

140 points per player is not really a good goal. He's not a cheap defender either if you want to account for price. If you got 140 points for every one of your players, your rank would be in the millions.

Cancelo and TAA are a concern, but TAA has a good fixture coming up so I'm willing to wait at least 1 more. Cancelo literally has the most defensive points in the game so even though his 'stats are bad', I'm ok with having the best defender in the game (points wise).

Thiago back after the break equals cs and improvement from Taa. I would just ride it out. Wolves is good chance of cs No matter how bad Liverpool are, and they are not that bad. Just got a cs last game. We vant control what substitutions managers doing, if its 58 or 61st minute is not important for them.

I sold my Liverpool assets after GW2 and have not looked back since. This week particularly is going extremely well. However, this can go upside down in just one gameweek. I think I should gradually get back Pool players as Thiago gets back to fitness. Who would be the first one to target? Probably Trent? Thinking of Cancelo to Trent as a possible move.

Very strong. Not sure of improvements long term so one week punts? Saliba out for Dunk double? KDB > Salah? Haaland > Nunnez?

I believe punts should be on premiums and on good players. KDB to Salah is very inviting and I may want to try that this week. Salah will explode soon -- will it be this week? Home game against Wolves is indeed an easy fixture. KDB to Salah is something I am very interested in, or Cancelo to Trent as I replied above.

Not keen on taking punt on Dunk, especially losing team value on Saliba. In my opinion, Nunez is a player who lacks basic technical abilities, so its difficult to take a punt on Nunez. But, I am sure Klopp knows better and my opinion will change very soon.

Great team and no, there aren't any obvious sells here. It's pretty much template wildcard at the moment (that's a good thing).

The best fixtures I see are Arsenal v Everton and Liverpool v Wolves.

I don't see Everton doing much against Arsenal but you have Arsenal covered anyway.

Liverpool *should* do well, but they've been really inconsistent so I don't think I'd buy anyone in from there. You've obviously gone without Salah and it looks like it's paying off. Personally, I'd stick with it and make changes next friday based on if there are injuries or not.

Thanks. I also think Liverpool v Wolves is a nice fixture, and I will probably take a punt on that fixture. Either KDB to Salah or Cancelo to Trent and save the other FT. Of course, if there are no other obvious fires to put out next Friday.

If I do decide to bring in Trent or Salah as a one-week punt, who would that be: Trent or Salah?

Despite 5-at-the-back or big-at-the-back suggestions of the content creators, we have seen that the forwards are firing at all fronts this season. My suggestion would be to shift either one of your mid / defense to get a third forward -- any one of them, so many of them are so good!

As much as Liverpool are annoying, they have a good fixture this week, so I'd keep them for at least that.

Team looks good honestly. I am considering doing a Mendy -> Sanchez (or someone else). Chelseas defense is just not doing it right now.

Selling trent Isn't the ideal choice right now imo. Matip is back. They got arthur.
They got jota and nunez means, more attack , have to defend less.

Only concern is mo salah. He is clearly off. His first touch was super bad. Played at wing. Rarely took shot on goal . Loses ball many times.

Looking at it the other way around. I don't have Salah and Trent. I have 2FTs and I would like to take a punt this week on one of them. Either KDB to Salah, or Cancelo to Trent. Believe it or not, I am leaning towards the punt on Salah. Make of it what you will.

Both Salah and Trent are highly owned, so you actually do better not owning them while they are doing badly.

However... This is a favourable fixture for them. Home to wolves who are also doing well. I would expect some attacking returns for Liverpool and a decent chance at a clean sheet.

Better fixture than KDB though so who knows. I'd prefer Salah and you can always switch back afterwards.

It's a good team. I'd probably wait until the rest of this gameweeks games to see if there are injuries or anything.

I sold James and I don't fancy Chelsea to get a clean sheet in the next 2 games, but it's worth waiting to see. There might be an injury that forces your transfer.

Yeah I'm ok with price drops as long as there aren't too many of them. I bought him at 6.0, so it's all profit I guess.

There are just a few other changes I'd like to make in the meantime, like my defense and my goalie. I figure that Rodrigo is good for the season at that price as long as he's fit. I'd rather wait until he's back than spending 2 transfers (one out, and then back in later).

        Thanks for the reply.

The way I see it is that I don't see a great replacement in that price range for me. I have Martinelli and Gross. I can't afford Zaha as he's too expensive right now.

Only transfer I can think of is maybe Rodrigo -> Rashford. I'll watch the Man Utd game tonight and if Rashford does well, I may as well buy him.

      Brentford 5 - 2 Leeds

      - Toney first pen was never a penalty, Sinnestera wins and touches the ball.
      - Toney second goal, lovely
      - Sinnestera goal, great touch, Raya should save
      - Toney third goal, won't get hattricks like this all week. Unsure why final defender isn't on the line to stop this?
      - Leeds robbed of a penalty, if not a freekick. Marsch red card is a joke (makes me laugh how many managers get a red for that but players seemingly say much worse)
      - Bamford misses sitter of the year?! Great defending from him
      - Awful defending from Brentford for Leeds 2nd
      - That flick on from Koch was even better than Bamford's clearance...
      - Llorente, lost his head clearly, what am I watching, are we sure this is the PL?

      Forest 2 v 3 Bournemouth

      - Forest first goal, corner was on the money. Good header too
      - Forest penalty, was not a penalty, the first ever monitor review decision where a ref hasn't changed his mind and he bottles it and gets it wrong. Lucky Neco assist. (Keeper nearly saves)
      - Wow. What a goal for BOU. Shot. Henderwho?
      - Solanke shot off the shin and deflected in. Unlucky FOR

      Chelsea 2 - 1 West Ham

      - 45 minutes, not a shot on target.
      - Mendy flaps at knock on from corner as two of his own players get in the way. Rice squares inside the 6 yard box for Antonio tap in
      - Chilwell goal. Wow. Just how. Poor from Fabianski
      - Cornet heads onto post, should be buried
      - Good cross from Chilwell, first thought was awful ball in, replays show was lovely. Good finish Havertz
      - Sources say Mendy has been nominated for an Oscar. Absolutely disgraceful, retrospective action for simulation should be brought in

      Tottenham 2 v 1 Fulham

      - Richarlison good opportunity off a Son cross
      - Son goal disallowed as Kane attempts to play ball in offside position
      - Kane beautifully tees up Son, who should do better (hits crossbar)
      - Hojberg goal is his second of the season, matching last seasons tally - don't get excited (Richar assist)
      - Richar swings beautifully at the air from Royal cross missing big opportunity from 12 yards out
      - Kane goal is from a messy bit of defending from Fulham, if wasn't scored could arguably see a penalty given from handball
      - Kulu replaces Kane, leaving Richar down the middle and Son on the left, Kulu on the right
      - Richar hits post from 16 yards out
      - Side note, Willian is at Fulham now?! lol! I missed that transfer
      - What a goal from Mitrovic. Geezer just doesn't care who he's against
      - Mitrovic close to second (big deflection loops shot instead of power shot) at top corner
      - Sess great assist to Richar who stupidly gets booked for shirt removal (doorhandle) but it's offside (double doorhandle)

      Aston Villa 1 - 1 Man City

      - Douglas Luiz with a pass to Watkins that most people would cream over if it was Ozil back in the day or KDB nowadays (literally rolls it between Stones & Dias and under Stones' feet as he runs). Ensuing corner, great delivery which nearly led to AVL goal
      - KDB with a gorgeous cross for Haaland to score at the back post (watched this game live, think I read a stat that said something like Haaland is scoring a goal per FIVE touches)
      - Rodri easily dispossessed, Ramsey wastes HUGE opportunity with poor touch (would've been Watkins assist)
      - Haaland wins FK that KDB smashes off the bar from 21 yards out
      - Rodri, Walker & Mahrez all half tracking Ramsey's cross that Bailey smashes home from 14 yards out. Ederson doesn't stand a chance unless he guesses he's gonna shoot there. Poor defending IMO (especially from Rodri & Walker).
      - Douglas Luiz with ANOTHER superb pass. Right wing, half-way line, outside of the his LEFT boot, curls it round Cancelo, past Dias, forces Stones over to cover Watkins (leads to next point)
      - Watkins takes to long to square pass to Ramsey (good back-tracking by Mahrez), Ramsey would've been left with a free shot from 18 yards otherwise - good of him to get into a position (leads to next point)
      - Ball continues to roll to Coutinho. Lino flags, Ref blows up, Coutinho puts the ball in the back of the net. NOW IMPORTANT; YES Coutinho scored, NO he was NOT offside. We all know this. Yes the lino shouldn't have flagged yadayadayada, awful officiating. HOWEVER; once ref blows, Mahrez stops tracking Coutinho (could've easily blocked the shot) and Ederson half-a**e swipes at it as it comes at him, I genuinely don't believe that's scored even if offside wasn't given.
      - - PLEASE ALSO NOTE, that whilst we're all giving the lino a hard time for calling that offside, I genuinely believe he's flagging not for when Watkins' pass is played but when the ball rolls under Ramsey/Mahrez, from his POV (Watkins in line of sight) it may have looked like Ramsey has played the ball (at which point Coutinho IS in an offside position - however neither Mahrez nor Ramsey play the ball).
      - Rodri selfish 22-23 yard strike when could've played a forward in
      - This is match of the day notes, but pretty sure KDB and Haaland could've had one or two more / come close but that was 12 hours ago now and it's been a busy night!

      Wolves 1 v 0 Southampton

      - Matheus has the ball on counter attack, it's FIVE v THREE in favour of Wolves. AWFUL pass to Neto (due to poor touch) delays Neto getting close who doesn't even manage a shot on target. Since Jimenez accident Wolves just don't seem to be able to source a goal scorer.
      - Good defending from Wolves stops cutback being tapped in from four yards out
      - LOVELY cross from right side (Matheus) to Podence @ near far post. AWFUL shot. Lucky goal.(Basically reaching for the ball, kinda traps it between his foot and the floor, pops up and slightly dinks the 'keeper)
      - Poor touch from Aribo, lands at JWP feet, plays Aribo back in, who crosses. Che Adams tries his best impersination of Diego*. No goal for cheating.
      - Stuart Armstrong crosses from left to Che Adams, climbs well, decent contact with header, hits crossbar.

*Maradona in case you didn't get the joke.

      Everton 0 - 0 Liverpool

      - Nunez straight back in, Bobby benched. Tsimi starts, Robbo benched (sign of things to come because of CL, we've already seen some resting of him - coming off early)
      - Scrappy defending from Liverpool leads to Davies outside of the boot shot (~10 yards) to rattle the post (would've been Maupay "assist"). Comes from inital cross from Patterson cleared before he wins it off of Carvalho and puts in another cross
      - Gomez lovely ball over the top to Nunez who brings down well and strikes it only for Pickford to make a superb save and tip it onto the crossbar, ball stays in play and Diaz comes back inside to shake the woodwork by smashing it against the post (no touches between Nunez shot and Diaz shot - would've been Nunez assist)
      - Formation change for Liverpool as Bobby comes on for Carvalho (4-2-3-1 now instead of 4-3-3 - half time change)
      - Nunez shot in box blocked by Patterson
      - Elliot and Tsimikas passing from one side of Everton's box to the other to each other, (nobody gets on the end of Elliots pass, Tsimi's was just awful).
      - Trent TROLLolololol subbed at 59' by Klopp to ensure he misses additional points from playing 60 and the clean sheet
      - Robertson subbed on for Tsimi (59' also) for a wonderfuloololol 1 point cameo & no CS for Tsimikas
      - Bobby draws big save from Pickford after Nunez tee's him up
      - Robertson on corners, beautiful cross, straight on Bobby's noggin' only to be saved by Pickford.
      - Messy pinball from short-corner inside Everton's box means Pickford makes another save from Fabinho (would've been Nunez assist)
      - Everton counter through corner, FIVE on THREE, Gray skips past Milner, squares past Gordon and Maupay (lol) kicks it into Allison's chest rather than anywhere else from 8 yards
      - Gray cross, finds Maupay at the far post, who somehow, amazingly puts it WIDE from a yard outside of the 6 yard box (to the left of the goal) but about 3 yards from the by-line so Coady toe pokes it home, the crowd goes wild only for VAR to ruin the day by calling it offside (correctly)
      - VVD somehow escapes red card? Raised studs into ankle/shin of Onana
      - Jota on for Nunez (80') McNeil on for Gordon (82')
      - Patternson finds McNeil, who 1-2's with Maupay (because of a bad touch), McNeil shoots from 17 yards, DOUBLE ricochet going top corner before Allison makes top drawer save
      - Salah lovely outside of the boot pass, Bobby latches onto the end of it (completely unmarked from 13 yards) causing Pickford to save again
      - Robertson steams forward (90'+5'), finds Diaz edge of the box, LOVELY turn, rather than shoot (weak foot?), finds Salah coming in from right, SHOOTS... fingertips by Pickford, POST... REBOUND, blocked.

      Newcastle v Crystal Palace

      - Isak blocks attempted pass from Anderson (inside NEW half) 1-on-1 with 'Keeper, tries to dink him, doesn't come off. Should score
      - Doucoure shot controlled by his own teammate Mateta, who turns and shoots from 12 yards, big save from Pope
      - Trippier even taking freekicks from halfway line, leads to corner as gets a little messy in the box
      - ^^ This corner, I thought I was at the arcade playing pinball, how has that not gone in. Corner by Targett headed towards goal by Longstaff, save from Guaita falls in front of him, 4 yards out, Joelinton stretches but Doucoure blocks/swipes it off the line, Joelinton has another stab, falls to Botman, blocked again.
      - Freekick from left flank, whipped in by Targett, great cross. Pings everywhere until Almiron hits the post
      - Freekick from right flank, lofted in by Trippier, makes it to Botman at the far post, big save by Guaita at his near post
      - Guehi falls on the ball (obstruction?) Isak kicks it out from between his legs, freekick given to Newcastle, Trippier in again, Botman heads back across goal from far post, Guaita dives for the ball as does Willock who CLATTERS into Guaita, ball missing both of them, bouncing off the poor unsuspecting Mitchell for an own goal. Ruled out by VAR (foul on 'keeper).
      - Palace attack, Eduoard receives ball from Ayew edge of box, seemingly shrugs off two, drops shoulder on third, fires shot away, Pope big save with his leg
      - Isak doesn't see run of Murphy, easy through ball would probably leave him 1-on-1 with 'keeper, but finds Willock on the edge of the box (centre) and Guaita saves AGAIN
      - Trippier takes left corner this time? (In-swinging)... Met by Botman, finds Willock who shoots wide (big slice)

Mitchell pushes Willock in the back who clatters into Guaita by the way. Referee made correct decision on-field, VAR suggests checking the monitor, changes his decision. Should've been a Newcastle goal.

Jesus and Cancelo are the other worthwhile mentions.
Rest are low priced ones out of whom Saliba is the best.
To maintain 3 premiums I get short of the likes of Toney, Mitrovic, Mertinelli, Zaha, etc. Can afford 2 out of them, or even 3 if I switch to 2 premiums team.

Planning for WC9 originally, but it seems WC8 is also viable option if intending to immediately change formation by extracting funding from the backline. What's your plan?

I was planning GW14 or so because the world cup might mess with a lot of teams squads.

WC8 is when I'm looking to do my team restructure to 3 up top as there are forwards who have good fixtures that week (Mitrovic, Isak, Kane).

Also a good point to move away from my multiple Liverpool and Arsenal assets with tough away games at Brentford and Chelsea that week

Two common transfer discussions that might bite people:

TAA OUT - If he had stayed on another two minutes he would probably have finished on 9 points. With Matip returning from injury he is a potential captain option next week.

KDB TO SALAH - Can see the temptation but KDB was electric yesterday and will be bang up for Spurs.

KDB and Salah are an either-or situation for me. I'd like both, but could only afford 1. I went with Salah and Haaland in that case.

TAA out is a tough one. I agree that he's not paying out for his price tag, but next week is a really good fixture for Liverpool. I think I'll keep 1 more week and see.

Oh, I was thinking of KDB to Salah. Thanks for your input. Just watching highlights of the game and its all about KDB.

After watching highlights, I think Darwin is the way forward. Toney to Darwin. Or, Cancelo to Trent.

    A. Find the fund to upgrade to James
    B. Walker
    C. ??? (already triple Arsenal and got Trippier, but is double NEW good choice ?)

With a very slight question mark over Ramsdale; this is about as template I have seen a non WC side. Not sure if this is good or bad.
Sterling is about the only player outside overwhelmingly owned picks. Enjoy the slow progress (smile)

Same back 3 and Trippier on the bench.
It is reasonable thing to do as West Ham will probably get something from that game. Can’t see Trippier outscore any of the starting 11 except maybe Mitro but with Mitro you never know, so I would keep him there.

I definitely wouldn't bench Trippier against the lowest scoring team in the premiership (west ham).

Honestly, I'd play him over any of the others. He's on form and his team is playing decently. Cancelo has bad stats but still doing well out of it. TAA's team is just not good right now, but at least he has a good fixture next week, and James I just sold because he's just not getting the CS and his attacking points aren't making up for it although that could change any week. I'd play all 4 if possible.

So, based on some wonderful answers from my previous post, I think I should take a Liverpool punt this week for their game against Wolves. I have 2FT and 1.9m in the bank, no Liverpool in my team.

    A) Toney to Darwin
    B) Cancelo to Trent
    C) Sterling to Diaz
    D) KDB to Salah

Bailey at 4.7 is starting to look like the pick of the budget midfielders imo. His fixtures until the world cup break are Lei, Sou, Lee, Nfo Che, Ful, Bre, New, Mun, Bha. Lots of leaky backlines there

    1. The Philosopher
      • 5 Years

If you can take the odd benchings on the chin, he's not a bad option imo. Might bring him back on the WC.

Been there already with Bailey and not planning to go back there again at any time soon.

Even the low price which keeps on getting lower isn't enough. Would rather have Andreas as my fodder midfielder than Bailey

    3. SalahFingers
      • 8 Years
      3 years, 6 months ago

For his price, he's a decent spare. He's a good shout to bench every week or play if you have injuries.

Lots of leaky backlines, but then you listed the team with the best defense (Brighton). I wouldn't fancy him to score against Chelsea, Newcastle or Man United either.

      1. RichardNixon
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 6 months ago

He would be on the bench most of the time, with the odd game here and there. Sou Lee Nfo for example.

I might go Kulusevksi and Archer to Bailey and Mitrovic.

Would mean playing 433 or alternatively 343 with one of Andreas or Bailey getting a game.

KDB Salah Halaand & Kane in the same team surely not affordable but that's a good sign if you somehow managed it and the rest of the team is decent.

If I had to wildcard right now I'd only be keeping 3 of those players (Ward, Williams & Haaland). BATB is finished, especially when there's so much value to be had for 4.5m or less. BATF is the way to go.
