The Scoreboard presents all the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) numbers you need from Saturday’s matches all on one screen.

As well as LiveFPL‘s rundown of the goals, assists and bonus points from the day’s FPL action, we’re bringing you a selection of the Opta stats that arrive in our Premium Members Area almost immediately after full-time in each fixture.

Ivan Toney (£7.1m) was the top-scoring player of the day with a Haaland-esque 17-point haul, while Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.8m) and Harry Kane (£11.4m) made it six attacking returns in as many matches with goals in Tottenham Hotspur’s win over Fulham.

Erling Haaland (£11.9m) hit the 10-goal mark after scoring in Manchester City’s draw with Aston Villa, meanwhile.

Budget defender Neco Williams (£4.1m) also popped up with an assist in Nottingham Forest’s 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth, while Kieran Trippier (£5.1m) inched his way into second in the FPL defenders’ points table with another clean sheet.

They were rare success stories on a pretty grim day for well-owned FPL assets such as Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), Luis Diaz (£8.2m), Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.5m), Andrew Robertson (£6.8m), Marc Cucurella (£5.2m), Reece James (£6.0m), Ivan Perisic (£5.6m), Dejan Kulusevski (£8.2m), Joao Cancelo (£7.1m) and Son Heung-min (£11.7m), who all blanked.

Our usual Scout Notes article, which summarises more of the main FPL talking points, notable manager quotes and injury news in extraa detail, will follow.

The most annoying thing about the Toney hat trick is all the stats suggested this wasn't possible. Compared to Mitrovic, Jesus etc... his stats looked pathetic. He barely take 2 shots a game, if that. His heat maps don't look great, yet, he's causing damage to us non owners.

Yet he is on form & scoring well since the season started. Eye test is crucial + giving value to a team's talisman

True. I'd still say Haaland Jesus Mitrovic is the strikeforce to go for though?

Arsenal playing really well and he's at the centre of most of it. I'd expect both Brentford and Fulham to stall at some point in the season.

        This.

The eye test is crucial. Basing fpl decisions solely on stats isn’t a good idea.

I know you mentioned picking ‘talisman’ players, but having penalty takers is as important.

Obviously, Toney is brilliant at pens. 16 from 16 in the PL.

He is class. I watch all of brentfords matches . His chances are always high quality and he looks close to a goal/assist even in the matches he doesnt score in. He ll be in my team for the foreseeable

Yes, not doubting he's a brilliant player, just wasn't sure he had hat tricks or braces in him given the role he's often been playing in the team.

He is a fantastic asset who can easily average 5 points a game uotill GW16. I won't captain him so I'm not worried about braces and hattricks. He can now get 2 points in the next 3 games and il still be happy with the average due to his performance today

Lol, no, he is completely different. He's getting a chance every 15 minutes. He does all of his work in the box. Toney is more in the Kane mould, often drops deep and takes on a playmaker role.

Hmm OK thanks - it's an interesting one. Toney's fixtures for the foreseeable are really good though so it's going to be very difficult to look past him

Mitro, he has averaged 6.4 points against tough opposition

he's been close to a haul last two games, so perhaps he got the score for all 3 games in this one game, he's their talisman & brentford have been more attacking this season, he reminds me a bit of drogba, direct, great in the air, brilliant at pens/freekicks
having said all that, there are plenty of alternatives in forwards, pick your 3 & stick with them

Very surprised Southgate hasn't tried him. He's the closest like for like Kane replacement we have. Even worth taking him for Penalty shootouts.

Appreciate your opinion on these options (WC GW9):
    A. Kulu > Maddison/Sancho
    B. Kulu > Zaha
    C. Kulu Archer > Zaha/Sancho Mitrovic (-4)
    D. Neco Kulu > Trippier Zaha/Sancho (-4)

Think il stick with Salah until WC16. Hopefully klop adjusts his tactics and stops putting Salah out on the wing. I am tempted by TAA to Trippier though. Gives me cash to upgrade gross to Maddison/Zaha etc next week and i can't see pool keeping clean sheets with the fixtures they have coming up. James can stay since his fixtures are good, he is cheap and Chelsea look better in defense with Fofana in there. Now to just wait until Friday night to make my moves. Trippier will prob be 5.3 by then and TAA 7.4 but it looks like it's worth waiting on this move

Unfortunately I don't have it in me to sell him. The more people sell him the more excited i get to own him lol. All it takes is a tactical tweak from klopp and he ll be back

    3. FOO FIGHTER

Klopp is not going to adjust his tactics. Salah is becoming a creator.

Darwin is going to be the centre of all things, we will see Firmino or Jota playing a supporting role behind Darwin, Diaz will be running amok in a free role and Salah will be picking up the pieces like he did today.

Salah will still chip in and is still involved. I am keeping but does not mean anyone has to do what I do 🙂

      1. Valar(Keith)
        • 16 Years
        3 years, 7 months ago

Lol. Why would klopp keep things the same when they are not working. Salah is one of the best goalscorers in the game and he is being forced out onto the wing to allow TAA to cut in instead of out. Not saying he will make a tweak.. but saying he definitely won't and that Salah is a creator now etc is daft imo

I think the issue in that area is Elliott. Salah and TAA had developed a way of moving through spaces in that area and Elliott is in those spaces a lot more than Henderson or Thiago was. So if Koop wants Salah to have more opportunities to score he needs to keep Elliott more central.

a tweak in ssytem won't work, without thiago the midfield is pretty average & creativity gets shared, plus salah looks lost without his buddies bobby/mane, he has to be the creative chief as there's no other option, once pool sort out their midfield he'll do well, but shifting him is a luxury, once i have 2 FTs & don't have any issues, i'll look into it

De Bruyne not in great FPL form. Haaland reducjng his goalscoring threat of the last few seasons.

        • 16 Years

KDB was inches from a huge haul today.

You won't get points for that. Mitro could've had 3. Haaland is gonna affect De Bruyne's returns but no reason for De Bruyne not to improvd his goal threat.

Now you have it. I'd have to pay FPL to play rather than expect getting payment like Haaland and Dé Bruyne. And I haven't started doing the really stupid stuff yet!

Yeah - also Haaland breaks the game, Salah last season now him.

Would you WC this on WC* or WC9 1.1m ITB 1FT

Could bring in Brighton defender for Walker or Sinesterra for Eze. next week

    (Really want Zaha/Mitrovic/Kane

    Ramsdale/Ward
    TAA/ Cancelo/James/Walker/Trippier
    Salah/Eze/Martinelli/Gross/Andreas
    Haaland/Jesus/Archer

Is Salah really worth the hold? (and TAA for that matter in the next 4 to 5 GWs until Klopp figures it out (defence and midfield injuries)

I could get a benching headache, but with rotation looming in Europe and Arsenal/Brighton fixture swing too (and perhaps Liverpool short term) with Palace/Newcastle/Fulham/Spurs having better fixtures

I am thinking possibly one week earlier.
