Gameweek 8 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) continues on a quieter-than-usual Saturday afternoon, starting with Wolverhampton Wanderers v Manchester City at 12:30 BST.

Pep Guardiola has made three changes to the City side that beat Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek.

Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Ruben Dias are recalled, with Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Nathan Ake making way.

Kyle Walker is on the bench after recovering from a minor injury.

City have played three times since Wolves were last in action a fortnight ago.

Bruno Lage oversaw a 1-0 win over Southampton in the hosts’ last match so changes are unsurprisingly kept to a minimum here.

Goncalo Guedes comes in for the injured Sasa Kalajdzic in the one and only enforced alteration.

Former Chelsea striker Diego Costa, signed on a free transfer over the last fortnight, is deemed not match fit enough to be involved today.

GAMEWEEK 8 LINE-UPS

Wolves XI: Sa, Jonny, Collins, Kilman, Ait-Nouri, Nunes, Neves, Moutinho, Neto, Podence.

Subs: B. Traore, Hwang, Sarkic, Mosquera, Semedo, Gomes, Ronan, Bueno, Campbell

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Stones, Akanji, Dias, Cancelo, De Bruyne, Rodri, Foden, Silva, Grealish, Haaland.

Subs: Ortega Moreno, Carson, Walker, Ake, Gundogan, Alvarez, Gomez, Mahrez, Palmer

No but I am sure you can understand that 6 points from Haaland against 10 men is something to be rather happy about when Kane has 90 minutes to come at home to Leicester

The 10 men is irrelavant. It often means going up against a more defensive minded side.

I think if you did a statistical analysis of results against 10 men vs 11 men, more goals are scored against 10

Yes wolves are a tight unit in general. Which is why I didn’t captain Haaland. But Id rather my player faced a 10 men wolves than an 11 men wolves

Better return back old BPS. Americans will never understand football. It's a nuclear science for them, like many simple things in life.

Do the research and you will find out. I will just quote you one part of the reddit post:

"In the past bonus points rewarded intangible influence. It was the ‘all things considered’ award. Now, it rewards purely statistical influence. If there’s one thing football is not, it’s a game of statistics."

The “man in the stand” approach was so biased.

Plus I’d bet they hadn’t even watched the game - same players got them when their team won every time.

They gave bonus to Cancelo because he created a chance for Palmer there but actually the ref said that the ball was out in the air from the cross, so he should be on 2 bps not 3!

I almost sold Gundo to KDB for -8

In the same boat but I am happy

Double digit haul for Kane will mean skyrocketing the rankings

It is important for Newcastle to concede

Kane cap, with KDB. No Cancelo, though. Can't have them all (for now).

Even if Kane blanks, damage not too bad. Continues to have been worth a try.

    Template seems so strong again!

Most teams have these 7 so it’s only 4 picks to do the damage with…

    Pope
    Trippier James Cancelo
    Martinelli
    Haaland Mitrovic

Has there ever a point in any season when the template has been weak or is that just nature of the beast?
