The Scoreboard presents all the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) numbers you need from Saturday’s matches on one screen.

As well as LiveFPL‘s rundown of the goals, assists and bonus points from the day’s FPL action, we’re bringing you a selection of the Opta stats that arrive in our Premium Members Area almost immediately after full-time in each fixture.

Our usual Scout Notes article, which summarises more of the main FPL talking points, notable manager quotes and injury news in extra detail, will follow later.

BRIEF ROUND-UP

The top-scoring defender, midfielder and forward in FPL right now are all on the books of Manchester City after the reigning champions’ latest comfortable victory.

Erling Haaland (£12.2m) passed a century of points with his 15th league strike of the season but he was outshone by team-mates Phil Foden (£8.1m) and Joao Cancelo (£7.2m), who registered double-digit hauls to leap to the FPL summit in their respective positions.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur joined City in keeping a clean sheet on Saturday but many Fantasy managers would have missed out on the defensive returns, as Reece James (£6.1m) and Ivan Perisic (£5.6m) both had to make do with cameo second-half appearances. There were 11 changes between these two teams from midweek as rotation really kicked in.

Kieran Trippier (£5.5m) is behind only Cancelo for points in the defenders’ standings after he again compensated for a clean sheet loss with an attacking return (that’s now no blank at home since January for the Newcastle right-back), while Miguel Almiron‘s (£5.1m) fourth goal in seven matches means that he’s now FPL’s best value midfielder, at least when it comes to the somewhat limited ‘points per million’ metric.

Harry Kane (£11.4m) hasn’t blanked since Gameweek 1 after scoring Spurs’ match-winner at the Amex, with the England striker downplaying a late knock he took in the closing stages of the evening kick-off.

It was a decent day for budget forwards, too, as Patson Daka (£5.7m) and Dominic Solanke (£5.7m) both delivered attacking returns in Bournemouth’s 2-1 win over Leicester City: that’s now five games unbeaten for the Cherries under Gary O’Neil.

    A. Sterling (avl, bre)

    B. Son (EVE, mnu)

Haven't seen today's games, so based on the information before today, I would say C, especially with money factored in. (Actually, I would say Sterling if he wasn't benched today)

Is it naive to think he's more likely to play twice now?

          3 years, 5 months ago

Yes. If he started today, you'd think he was almost certain to start the next two. Now that he didn't start, why would the likelihood increase?

Does Potter really do “first choice” attackers, though? I’ve always seen him more as a manager that picks a team for each matchup

I would say B and I should know because I have 2 top 5k finishes in the past 4 years, making me an A rank FPL player. However, if an A* rank player were to say Sterling then I would retract my opinion and agree with them.

If Liverpool stay in this 4231 (or use it regularly against weaker sides) , would it not be great to get Darwin in GW 12? will wait and see how he performs in next 3 Liverpool games, but that considerable loss of competition with Firmino and Jota for a place is massive

if you think you can get 12 points or more go for it, bb is the most worthless chip tbh

Got for it if you fancy them to get 15pts plus. BB is overrated and can cost transfers setting up

This is the key point here

Usually the setup costs valuable points and it turns out the value of points accumulated by the chip in the gw just isn’t worth the hassle

Tempted by kdb > trossard and Andreas > Zaha for a -4. Am I mad losing kdb?

    Midfield for gw11...
    Martinelli Zaha Trossard Maddison

Then Martinelli > Diaz for gw12.

    1. thegaffer82

Not mad. KDB is expensive for a guy you will literally never captain as he always has the same fixture as Haaland.
I like the moves personally. It’s just the hit that puts me off somewhat

It's actually not a bad move. Trossard v Brentford away and Forest at home is likely to outscore KDB's one game away to Liverpool. Tross also a good captain option for gw12. Zaha is also a huge upgrade on Andreas

      1. Adzy
        • 10 Years

My thoughts too and puts me with a steady looking midfield for 12 with decent fixtures.

Don’t like it, KDB has an out of form pool and Andrea’s has a decent tie, would save the ft and the move for gw12 looks decent

Hopefully he can behave himself for the next 2. After gw12 I'm not bothered if he gets suspended as I'll probably move on from Maddison in gw13 or 14.

Kane's yellow today was also maddening as well and probably cost him maximum bonus points. Such a blatant and unnecessary handball

Don’t know what to do with my 2FT.
Ideally I’d like to roll one to have 2FT going into GW12.
    ………..Guaita
    ..Cancelo-James-Guehi
    Bowen-Mads-Foden-Marti
    …Haaland-Kane-Mitro
    Bench: Trippier-Andreas-Emerson
    0.7 itb & 2FT

    A) Foden > Trossard/Zaha (get him back GW13)
    B) Emerson > up to 4.7

The team isn’t looking great, but there isn’t really anything jumping out to me this week

Yeah, I just meant there’s a few meh fixtures in there next week… Trippier/CityvPool/Guehi.

      1. thegaffer82

        3 years, 5 months ago

It’s tough to sell a guy who has scored 5 goals since I bought him in GW8.
But I can see the sense in it with Pool and then blank coming up.
Then Mads or Bowen can go for getting him back in GW 13

        1. House Frey Wedding Planner
          • 7 Years

It will be done grudgingly but it looks like it's between Foden and Martinelli to make way in order to get a full team out for gw12 and there's more value tied up in Martinelli

The unlimited transfers in the World Cup break don’t count as a chip, right? So you could essentially wildcard right into a bench boost. Does that seem like a terrible idea?

    1. thegaffer82
      • 14 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

This is not something I’d thought about.
      Good question.
I’m guessing you can play a chip like at start of the season unlimited transfers

      1. Dthinger
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 5 months ago

That’s what I’m thinking. I usually try to use the BB chip in a double gw but you always have to plan several weeks in advance to really get set up for it. Plus then you could use a free hit or triple captain chip

    2. Brehmeren
      • 15 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

It might be technically possible, but there might be a bit of rotation right after the world cup with some odd benchings here and there, I would imagine.

    3. House Frey Wedding Planner
      • 7 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

Bench boosting straight after a 6 week PL break isn't ideal as there's too long a break in momentum. Plus it leads right into the Xmas schedule where there's normally plenty of rotation.

Some of us thought Haaland needed time, you wouldn't know anything about that what with wanting Arteta out a while back 😉

Easy to say in hindsight though.

There have been plenty of big money players that haven't always hit the ground running after moving into the PL. I remember lots jumping on Werner when he first moved to the PL after tearing it up in the Bundesliga.

Plus there were many that went with the strategy of Kane in gw1 and booking a transfer ahead to Haaland in gw2. It was reasonable thinking to do this considering Spurs scored two more goals than City in gw1.

I had Kane instead. Got in Haaland straight away. Currently at 51,747.

Anyone actually using their wildcard IN gameweek 12?

Thinking Haaland, Martinelli, Cancelo bench with placeholders for Foden (Trossard) and Jesus (Wilson/Mitrovic).

Still have 6 City/Arsenal so no other choice really.

      I’d rather field a good 9 or take a -8 for 11 in GW12.

WC13 with 3 Arsenal, City and Liverpool could be very powerful.

Yeah you might be right. Will roll transfer this week I think to give me the option. If I can put a decent side out with a -4 (3 transfers) then I can save the WC for 13.

Of course a Jesus red, or a midweek injury could change everything.

Currently on Patterson > Kilman and bank the other FT.

    Trippier Saliba Patterson*
    KdB Sterling Maddison Zaha Martinelli

Although my bus captain at the start of the week was Cancelo, I think moving to Kane was the logical option but just didn't work out this time (don't have Haaland). Foden vice-captain though so could've been an even better week!

With Martinelli and Perisic to drop tonight, which would you prioritise getting rid of? I think I will still want Martinelli going forwards despite GW12 because of their nice fixtures (Leeds, S'ton and Notts) so would prioritise Perisic, but do eventually want to get rid for Foden. Foden will go up again though, so this will be (at least) a 0.2 swing.

Being patient with Sterling has not worked out so far, guess it's up to Andreas 'I only score when you don't need me' Pereira.
