    Ok - tough benching decision for me this week

    Pope
    Gabriel, Trippier*, James, Cancelo*
    Salah*, Bowen, Maddison, Martinelli
    Haaland, Mitrovic, Solanke*

    Iverson, ****, Andreas, Neco
    1ft. 0.0itb.

    Rolling a transfer unless some catastrophe hits.

    The decisions is who of these to bench - leaning Cancelo.

    a/ Cencelo (liv),
    b/ Solanke (ful),
    c/ Salah (MCI),
    d/ Trippier (mun)

      Tough one, Trippier, as I think Man Utd score
      You might have them all play if Mitrovic is still out though

      Interesting Trips is suggested by you all, he's getting BAPS and returns even without clean sheets.
      Gabriel probably has the lowest upside.

      Will see on injuries, nice to have depth given all the injuries folks seem to be piling up with.

    Wildcarded a few weeks ago..

    Went double Chelsea defence (James & Fofana) Had Wolves H in mind when putting Fofana in. Also put Coufal in, again with Wolves H in mind.
    Wolves don't score in either game and I get 1 sub appearance from James 😐

    Now I've just bought Guehi with GW12 Wolves in mind. You've all been warned.

      Brutal Scratch…..my fault I know but I punted on Auba for Kane this week. 🙄 had James too. Couldn’t believe the team sheet 😯 Guehi is a solid pick bud. This game can shaft us silly

    Here's my team. Have 1.2 ITB and 2 FT.
    Pope (Iversen)
    Cancelo*, James, Trippier (Guehi, Neco)
    Foden*, Martinelli*, Maddison, Zaha (Andreas)
    Haaland*, Kane, Mitro

    What's the better (rough) plan?
    A)
    gw11: Pope -> Guaita
    gw12: Foden -> Trossard (c), no bench
    gw13: Trossard/ Mitro -> Foden/ Jesus
    gw14: Maddison -> Saka
    gw15: x

    B)
    gw11: Cancelo -> Justin
    gw12: Foden -> Trossard (c), bench Neco
    gw13: Trossard/ Mitro -> Foden/ Jesus
    gw14: x
    gw15: Pope/ Justin -> Guaita/ Cancelo

        Yeah, agreed. Hence the "rough" plan. I always play this game with 4-5 gws planned out and deal with situations as they come up. But having a rough plan in place orients me in making the best moves.

    Mitrovic update.

    I am tempted to sell tonight before the potential price drop.

    There were updates in Serbian news by Piksi, the national team head coach for Serbia.

    He went and visited Mitrovic on Thursday in London, to hear firsthand what is happening since he was worried about his availability for the World Cup.

    The full statement by Piksi is:

    "I wanted to see Mitrovic in person and to talk with him about his injury. I was interested in what it is about. If you remember, in Belgrade against Sweden he got a kick for what he had to leave the field. It was an awkward kick that left a trace, and when he felt the pain in the game against Newcastle he demanded a substitution. He is still feeling pain in the tendon, he will be out for some time, hoping not too long and I am certain that he will be fine when it will be most important" *My note: "when it will be most important" he means the World Cup).

    I have translated it from Serbian.

    Here is the link: https://srbijasport.rs/fudbal/piksi-pricao-o-povredi-mitrovica-zrebu-za-ep-vlahovicu-i-kosticu-fifa-listi/

    I think that even if he is close he won't be risked.

    Apparently, Marco Silva was furious about Serbia not protecting him, which is understandable.

    We have a midweek fixture soon so 10 - 14 days could mean 2 - 3 missed games.

    You can wait for more official news and swallow the price drop if you want, but I am pessimistic that he will want to risk it against Bournemouth and potentially not play the WC. This is the first time that Serbia plays the WC, which is a huge thing in the country.

    I was digging a lot, hope you like my update lads.

    Cheers.

      Cheers. Sounds like he could miss Bournemouth perhaps. No point making any transfers until Friday though, games still to be played.

      Do you speak Serbian or did you use google translate? Just out of interest.

      I just find it hard to believe someone who is Serbian and likes football would go to this effort yet not remember the two times their country played in a World Cup!

          It’s a clusterf**k for sure. Wk 12 is the big one, the fixture is a good one, maybe a capt option never mind needing all the squad to be options with a bench full of City and Gooners. 😕

    Diaz & Trent injuries have really put me in more of a dire spot. Mendy out of favour, Sterling punt done nothing... can't seem to get things working!

    What to do?

    Mendy - Ward
    TAA - Cancelo - Trips - Saliba - Neco
    Diaz - Sterling - Paqueta - Andreas - JWP
    Firmino - Haaland - Jesus

    1ft & 1itb. Thanks 🙂

    Got 2FTs

    Pope
    Cancelo Trippier James
    Martinelli Zaha KDB Maddison
    Jesus Haaland Toney

    Ward Saliba Andreas Neco

    Thinking KDB & Jesus -> Bowen & Kane

    How to watch World Cup games in Australia?

    I moved to Sydney a few months ago and I only have open TV, just connected to the antenna, which is ok because I don’t really watch too much live TV. Not even football recently. However I would like to watch World Cup games.

      I would have said you're well set, given what Gerrard said. But when I saw the game was Monday night, longest possible time to recover since Thursday (I think) press conference, he might have a chance of featuring.

        Thanks, my rationale was if he is a doubt he either starts or doesnt play at all...

          That rationale is dangerous, though! Every manager will take a chance on a potential game-changing player from the bench if losing.

            i guess... i didnt expect Andreas to score was the other part of the rationale... oh well if Bailey plays theres always a chance he scores 😐

              Well it's a great fixture – if he does start, then good prospects. And you would think there's actually a pretty good chance he's out entirely

    GW 11 I have a bench of:

    Ward (CRY): Saliba (LEE): Neco (WOL): Andreas (BOU)

    If wanting to just get BB out the way, could prove useful to play it next GW?

    Opinions most welcome.

      I wouldn’t. Ward is on borrowed time and Aurier could take Neco place.

          Can see a Leeds goal too. Maybe like a 1-3 Ars victory if that makes it easier to say no to BB lol

    Any early thoughts? 2 free transfers, plan is to WC GW13 — but losing Martinelli/Jesus/Cancelo/KDB seems so... wrong.

    Pope (Ward)
    Cancelo, Perisic, Trippier (Saliba, Neco)
    KDB, Zaha, Maddison, Martinelli (Andreas)
    Haaland, Jesus, Mitrovic

    With Diaz looking like he's out, I think this solidifies Firmino's minutes. He should be getting 90 anyway given his current form.

    So hands up Trent over Cancelo was the wrong decision on my GW9 WC.
    Cancelo back GW13 would seem sensible so will probably need a Trent replacement for at least 2 weeks so no Arsenal or City. Got Trippier James Guehi Neco so considering:
    A Dier or other Spurs
    B Double Chelsea
    C Or someone has a better idea!

      Considering C cresswell. B seems like rotation will annoy With away fixtures sandwiching a home match to Man Utd

    Martial and Bailey to Edouard and Trossard (-4) is tempting, fancy Trossard(c) in GW12

    Please advise what to do?

    I have 2 FT, 0.5m ITB and 4 players flagged.

    This is the current team:

    Ward
    Trippier James, Jonny
    Son Andreas Zaha Maddison
    Kane Mitrovic Haaland

    bench: Iversen, Neco, Walker, Gordon

    Walker and Gordon surely won't play next week and Mitro and Kane are doubts. Thinking on whether to sell Mitro before the price drop maybe

    Pope
    Cancelo Trippier James Perisic
    KDB Martinelli Maddison
    Haaland Mitrovic Toney

    Iversen Bailey Andreas Neco

    2FT, 2.0itb

    1. Bailey >> Rashford (Save 1FT)
    2. Perisic + Bailey >> upto 4.5 + Zaha / Trossard / Antony

    Thanks
