Our latest Members article takes a look at Fantasy Premier League’s (FPL) most creative players of 2022/23 so far.

In addition, we’ll also explore where teams have been creating their chances this season.

CHANCES CREATED

MidfieldersDe Bruyne (38)Andreas (34)Fernandes, Salah (29)Son (28)
ForwardsKane (25)Jesus (20)Firmino (17)Adams, Toney (14)

Let’s first look at chances created in each FPL position.

Kevin De Bruyne (£12.5m) – imagine our shock – is top with 38 chances created, just ahead of budget midfielder Andreas Pereira (£4.6m) on 34. The Fulham playmaker continues to offer excellent value, with his share of set plays adding to his appeal.

Another player that stands out is Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier (£5.9m). The England right-back has created 31 chances.

Aaron Cresswell (£4.8m), meanwhile, places second among all defenders on 25, followed by Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.2m), Diogo Dalot (£4.8m) and Ivan Perisic (£5.5m).

Is there a bit of a blind spot with Almiron with the content creators? Appreciate he has been mentioned but still quite dismissive of him as an option and going forward. Taking the mods and cons league as a sample only 6 out of 38 own him on the back of 3 double digit hauls. I got him in gw10 when he was still 5.1 and it was only really Gianni who mentioned him as an option (and it enabled threemium). When you have the table of differentials on the scout cast like Benrahma it seems silly to go for any of those over Almiron.

Almiron seems very legit, but Now template is embracing Newcastle- that is usually the kiss of death to a great run of points. He will be on every World Cup wildcard. 100%

Almiron could be Lingard of West Ham or Pukki Party 2.0 - such crazy bursts have happened before.

We'll see, it does make sense to own a Newcastle talisman right now

Quite weak with zouma (poor choice) mitro (4 yellows) solanke (blanking) neco (rotation) Bueno (starting but nailed ?) ... if Haaland doesn't start you are in the mud

Salah & Mitro to Saka (if fit, or someone else if not) and Wilson ? Then spread the cash a bit to upgrade 3rd defender & bench ?

      Maybe bring in Dalot?

    A. Toney, Andreas ➝ Alvarez, Almiron (bench Mitrovic)
    B. Toney, Saka ➝ Mbeumo, Foden
    C. Toney, Salah ➝ Darwin, Foden

    Pope // Ward
Trippier, Struijk, Webster // Andersen, Saliba
KDB, Salah, Saka, Martinelli // Andreas
    Haaland, Mitrovic, Toney
2 FT, 0m in the bank

Alvarez could play 150mins or more if Foden continues to be benched in the Premier League. Mbeumo will definitely play against Forest and will be on penalties. Instead, I could also buy Awoniyi who plays against Brentford and Palace at home. Ronaldo, I am not sure, but he could always score if he starts.

Spurs off color, Liverpool off color - but also happen to do very well as a rule against Spurs. Conte will park the bus again and break. Son missing definitely impacts it like it did today. Can’t see them being that lucky again.

I'd imagine it would, especially against a team like Liverpool, Spurs will want to counter and Kane dropping in to send balls through to Son/Richarlison would have been a very viable tactic with Kulusevski helping to hold onto the ball to bring in others a bit more when needed. Also means Kane can and probably will be targeted more directly too. Perhaps Conte will have to play Perisic there

A highly owned player l usually hurts not to have. In Andreas's case he spends a lot of time on the bench staring at you. I can always go down to him but I am looking for someone different. Fornals is a worry though I admit.

Good team. I wonder how many players doing well to get in World Cup squads will keep that level after World Cup? Back on December 26/27/28. Fatigue has to kick in at some stage in the season. Some clubs with less players heading to Qatar will surely get a benefit from extra rest and some work to work on upcoming games during the break.
Bundesliga resumes on January 20th. 18 team league, not flogging players like Premier League.

Just noticed Saka also in your team (we should get injury update on Thursday)

I'm finding it a bit hard to believe Wilson can make up a hit over Mitrovic in just two gameweeks, but it's of course possible.

Wilson has sou, CHE; Mitro has mci, MUN. obviously the former are better, but it's not THAT different.

I know Southampton are poaching a lot of City kids now, but I don't think its any kind of stretch to say the difference betweem them is still huge

Will the WC break be a month long auto WC with no price changes or like Covid circa 2020 with GWs running and a FT every week?

Auto WC, no price changes, no GWs passing, no FTs

My team looks awful for this week, but still weirdly almost no transfer seems worth the use of the FT.

    Suggestions? 2.8 ITB

    Ramsdale (che)

VvD (tot) / Cancelo (FUL) / Trippier (sou)

Martinelli (che) / Salah (tot) / Zaha (whm) / Rashford (avl)

Mitro (mci) / Haaland (FUL) / Solanke (lee)

subs: Iversen, Neco (BRE), Kilman (BHA), Andreas (mci)

      Have you discounted
      zaha > trossard / almiron ?
      Mo > KDB (cpt) ?
      Mitro > Wilson ?
All will be popular moves this week

Yeah, I really want to get in KDB, for captaincy. Not in love with selling Salah for him though, but maybe it's right.

If Haaland is out, considering him and Zaha out for Wilson and KDB, for a hit.

Almiron I still stubbornly refuse to back

Dele Alli fall from grace as a wonderkid is nothing short of astonishing.

What has really gone wrong? Poch leaving? Attitude?

First 3 seasons at spurs he was involved in 66 goals in 106 pl games (37g 29a) at just 21 years old. Had the world at his feet at this stage.

Was on par or even better than the Mount's, Saka's and Foden's of present era

There's been a few others like that over the years, Gotze comes to mind to a lesser extent. I don't get it though. Alli was outstanding at a young age.

Its a real shame. Maybe the fame got to his head and made him work less harder. Mou mentioned something like lazy trainer.

Lesson for young kids to always keep on working hard and try to improve even if you have got all the talent in the world

Should I take a hit here for someone? Haven’t taken one whole season but I’m starting to have weak knees.

    Pope
    Cancelo - Trippier - Andersen
    Salah - Foden - Rashford - Martinelli
    Haaland - Wilson - Mitrovic

Seems like there's a lot of worry about the injury Son picked up last night, possible orbital fracture has been suggested which could mean he won't make a full recovery until near the end of the season. Really hope for him it isn't the case and it's possible he can play with a mask (probably something like Osimhen wears), would be awful if he misses the World Cup

hope Son is ok and he makes a speedy be recovery but TBH the main thing is his life wasn't risked by being allowed to play on as Martinez was for villa at the weekend. the concussion protocols are a shambles and need to be changed because the welfare of the player doesnt seem to be paramount. its the welfare of the team and the result.

Yeah they're a joke honestly. I think an independent evaluation might need to be made on the field / pre-match (for anyone that's had a head injury in the last week) perhaps, although I'm sure some will cry foul of that

    Morning all,

Having an absolute shambolic time this season and have just had my biggest rank drop so far!

    Any suggestions on what to do with this shower of sh would be much appreciated;

    Pope
    Trippier Cancelo Dunk
    Foden Martinelli Saka Zaha
    Haaland Kane Mitro

    2FT 0.1 ITB.

Looking at perhaps Mitro & Saka/Zaha > Wilson & Rashford.

    Thanks guys!

What are Toney-owners doing with Mitrovic if they are already did the swap Toney -> Wilson (most probable)

I did that swap. Might bench this week but it would be for Dier so probably 2 points either way

          Similar;
          Pope
          Trippier Cancelo Webster Dier
          Martinelli Salah Foden Zaha
          Haaland Wilson
          (Iverson, Guehi, Andreas, Mitro)

No easy moves with Mitro so may just play vs MUN next week

Its a bit of a tricky spot atm, the 3rd forward. DCL & Scamacca are the obvious ones, although both seem to have lost some appeal in their last games. I haven't owned Toney & have had Darwin for the last few weeks. If none of those interest you, maybe just get Jesus & hope he avoids suspension?

What's the harm in playing him? Fulham have scored more than 3/4s of the teams in the league, I fancy them to score against City

Hey all, 0FT and 1.7itb. What to do if Haaland is out?

    Pope
    Cancelo Trippier Neco
    KDB Rashford Martinelli Almiron
    Haaland Kane Mitrovic

    Ward Andreas Gabriel Emerson

    A) Play Andreas vs City away
    B) Play Gabriel vs Ars away
    C) Sell a defender for (-4) eg, Dalot
    D) Sell Haaland for a 2 week punt (-4)
