With one transfer left would you rather bring in Modric or a French defender?

2 defenders from both teams (Livakovic, Juranovic, Molina, Otamendi) and 2 attackers from both teams (Modric, Perisic, Messi, Enzo). This is horrible.

I think hits at this stage is more precious than saving transfer. Because if you hit it right you will have another player on final stage

      A) Pile into France and Argentina, and take either 1 hit (3 more to replace in final) or 4 hits (full team) depending on your appetite.

      B) You've lost, make peace with it, and enjoy the football.

No point of watching these fixed games.
Just give the WC trophy to Pessi already. Fookn refs are the biggest fools and most corrupt this year.
Gifted him 3 penalties already this WC.
The previous play before the penalty incident was a corner and Croatia should’ve had a corner instead of giving the GK to Argentina

Pessi? How dare you... he's the clear GOAT and has frankly always been since he was in his early 20s. Maybe not a pen but that doesn't take away from the fact that he's the best dribbler and passer in the world, with the best vision, and on top of that can finish inside and outside of the box.

All those above attributes apply to Luka Modric too as he’s equally good in dribbling, passing, vision and shots inside and outside the box. So the real GOAT is Modric who has been supplying assists after assists to the legend CR7 and won Champions league 5 times while also winning a Balon d’Or! And he plays for Real Madrid which is the biggest club in the world. Unlike Pessi who plays in Farmers league

Oh stop crying. So Argentina paid the referees is that what you're saying? What about the Saudi Arabia game? Stop making excuses. They played better than Holland who were defending 90% of the game. They deserve to be where they are. Messi and Mbappe are both (by quite far) players of the tournament if you actually know about football. And it's not just me who thinks this its pundits too its just obvious to be honest

No need for quotes. They are paid for their educated opinions - that makes them experts. Intent is not necessary for a foul to be called. You can just be clumsy and run into someone completely by accident, but it doesn't make it NOT a foul.

He didn't run into Alvarez. It was the other way around.
You seem to be saying there's no need for logical reasoning, if the ref feels like giving a penalty it should be a penalty.

Livakovic blocked Alvarez's path. Alvarez isn't magical and cannot just stop to avoid him. That's all the logical reasoning you need.

The keeper isn't magical either. He made himself big in order to make the save.
He made no effort to block or challenge Alvarez.
Where is he supposed to go?

There are rules about what a defender or a GK is allowed to do to block the goal. He cannot physically impede a player's run. That's exactly what Livakovic did. That is 100% a penalty 100% all the time. Full stop.

Just re-watched the replay... Eh... It's tough. Messi did make the pass to send Alvarez on his way. Neither of the defenders off whom the ball deflected, ever had possession. I'd give the assist, but I don't think it'll happen.

Then what should he do? Stay on his goal line and wait for him to score? He didn't block anything. The so called block happened after the shot was taken. Even then he is just standing his ground. What else can he do? Become invisible?
And this is the 3rd penalty gifted to Argentina this WC. So clearly refs are biased towards Argentina

Anyone who can watch that and then say it wasn't a penalty definitely shouldn't be watching football or have access to the internet.
