2023’s second Premier League match takes place at City Ground, where Nottingham Forest host Chelsea in the 16:30 GMT kick-off.

A poor end to pre-World Cup life saw Graham Potter’s side be winless in five matches, although this run ended with a Gameweek 17 win over Bournemouth.

It also delivered a clean sheet to the many managers that had bought goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga (£4.6m), who starts again this afternoon.

Marc Cucurella (£5.2m) has almost 300,000 new owners for this round – he remains in the starting XI, with Cesar Azpilicueta (£4.8m) in for the injured Reece James (£5.7m) being their only change.

That means Mason Mount (£7.6m), Kai Havertz (£7.8m) and Raheem Sterling (£9.7m) all begin proceedings.

With a win, Nottingham Forest can go up to 16th place and Steve Cooper makes two changes from the team that lost at Manchester United.

Dean Henderson (£4.7m) was ineligible to face his parent club but immediately reclaims his spot between the sticks from Wayne Hennessey (£3.9m). The other replaces hamstring victim Jesse Lingard (£5.4m) with Morgan Gibbs-White (£5.5m), out with a groin problem since bagging two goals and assist throughout Gameweeks 15 and 16.

Cheap FPL defender Neco Williams (£4.0m) is on the bench.

GAMEWEEK 18 LINE-UPS

Nottingham Forest XI: Henderson; Aurier, Worrall, Boly, Lodi; Yates, Mangala, Freuler; Johnson, Awoniyi, Gibbs-White

Subs: Hennessey, Williams, McKenna, Cook, Toffolo, Colback, O’Brien, Surridge, Dennis

Chelsea XI: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Koulibaly, Cucurella; Zakaria, Jorginho, Mount; Sterling, Havertz, Pulisic

Subs: Bettinelli, Chalobah, Hall, Gallagher, Kovacic, Chukwuemeka, Hutchinson, Ziyech, Aubameyang

Would you lose Martial or Nunez for Mitro? Martial might have a double soon and has BOU next, but Nunez have lot more chances.

        Salah KDB Rashford Martinelli Almiron
        Haaland Darwin

        (Iversen Doherty Patterson Greenwood)

Disagree with most comments here, these posts typically come out when those who are used to doing well on FPL hit a tough streak.

There’s differentials like every season it’s just about hitting purple patches at the right time. I’ve made huge ground in the last 3 weeks with double United defence, punt on Sterling & backing KDB to continue his poor World Cup form. There’s an element of luck as always but this season isn’t vastly different from others in the past.

      1. WVA
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

You obviously didnt watch the City Pool cup game. Shaw was a good choice but Sterling lol It's not an element of luck, it's all luck especially with a footballer like Sterling!

        1. BoleynWin
          • 8 Years
          3 years, 4 months ago

If you purely pick players on form (rather than fixtures periodically) then you’ll never get on a bandwagon before it’s in full swing. Sterling was a punt, Chelsea coverage was needed and it was a toss up between him & Mount but went with the furthest forward. To slate an FPL pick that’s racked up points across the last few weeks is a bit narrow minded.
Good luck for the remainder of the season, I hope you turn it around.

In a bit of a pickle here for next GW, anyone the same?

    Ward
    Cucurella - Cancelo - Trippier
    Andreas - Rashford - Salah - Martinelli
    Kane - Haaland - Darwin
    ________________________________
    Iversen: Almiron: Patterson: B.Williams

    1FT, 0.7 ITB

Want Mitro but don’t wanna drop any of the forwards with Kane’s double to come and Darwin facing now a Toney’less Brentford.

I’d sell Rashford for Odegaard but UTD have BOU next, and no idea who to move Cancelo to and he’ll probs start games now!

Best jsit doing nothing and rolling the free? Haha

    Cheers for any input gents.

Sadly 0.2 short of that pal, I looked at that move before.

I may just deviate slightly and make an early Rashford > Odegaard move and ignore the DGW’s. No Mitro is a shame if I don’t get him but least I’d have Andreas i suppose

See I wish I had those players to make the moves so much easier! 🙂
No reason at all for moving Rashford other than wanting Odegaard in and just changing something away from template.
Took a risk this GW doing KDB > Salah and both flopped. Kinda got away with that one.
Just so hard to do anything and could even end up rolling the free!

Kdb Nunez Kane owner, not convinced by anyone so far. What would be the best options? Who to drop first? Feels like too risky going without KDB at least and in attack only one decent option (Nkhetiah) maybe Mitro
