The final match of Gameweek 21 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) takes place this evening.

Tottenham Hotspur are the visitors to Fulham’s Craven Cottage, where the action kicks off at 20:15 GMT – that’s 15 minutes later than originally billed, due to “local travel restrictions”.

Perhaps surprisingly after the 4-2 loss to Manchester City, Spurs are unchanged from Thursday night’s game at the Etihad.

That means that Matt Doherty, Ryan Sessegnon and Richarlison have to be content with places among the substitutes once again.

“If I make this decision, it is the best decision for the team. I spoke before the game that Richarlison is recovering in the best form but still not fit, he is very close. The next game he can play from the start.” – Antonio Conte on naming the same XI

There’s only one change for the hosts, as Antonee Robinson returns from suspension and replaces Layvin Kurzawa at left-back.

Harry Kane and Aleksandar Mitrovic are the most-owned players on show tonight, each sitting in over 30% of FPL squads overall. Kane features in 86.6% of the teams in the top 10k, too.

The pair were both on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture back in September, with Kane also delivering maximum bonus for his owners.

Antonio Conte’s side registered 23 shots in that match, with only the heroics of Bernd Leno keeping the score down.

Mitrovic has four goals in his three meetings with big-six sides this season.

GAMEWEEK 21 LINE-UPS

Fulham XI: Leno, Tete, Diop, Ream, Robinson, Palhinha, Reed, Willian, Pereira, De Cordova-Reid, Mitrovic.

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Lloris, Romero, Dier, Davies, Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic, Kulusevski, Son, Kane.

Subs: Forster, Doherty, Skipp, Sanchez, Richarlison, Sessegnon, Tanganga, Lenglet, Bissouma.

Stopped using Live FPL and my mood improved massively. It's nice not knowing what EO certain players are and I'm just enjoying points with blissful ignorance.

In fact I'm only looking at OR around once a month - I see the GW rank at the top and just make a guess what I might be.

If I ever see an EO list on here I quickly skip past it. Yes I'm aware that everyone owns Rash, Haaland and Trippier, but aside from that, no idea really.

Used to be one of those nutters who checked to see EO at the start of every gameweek to see who I didn't want to score points as well as refreshing Live FPL every time a goal went in. Not healthy at all.

If the VAR worked, Son would no longer be on the pitch and Fulham would probably already be leading.
But Spurs are on the winning track. Football makes no sense at all when it is played without rules.

The rise of the template since I started playing fantasy football games (20 odd years ago) has certainly made it a lesser game. Almost every team now with so so many players in common. Hard to get excited by players doing well as well, hoo hum, almost everyone else has them too!

I've gone from 1.9million to 560k OR since the restart, so there is room to rise in the ranks.

      • 12 Years

To the contrary, in my opinion. The template helps to prevent massive rank drops even when everyone in your team performs poorly. But one or two differentials help to climb the ranks.

I prefer that everyone follows the template. Trick is to predict the template couple of weeks earlier. Buy/sell template players 1 or 2 weeks early, and the rank will increase steadily.

Combination of content creators and dud pricing has made it a lesser game for sure.

The skill part used to come from doing your research and planning (not necessarily a skill, just effort that was generally rewarded), but it's all so spoonfed now to level the playing field and therefore the luck factor is heightened.

Does give the opportunity to go against the template and be heavily rewarded if you think they are wrong, however.

Kane and KDB do just enough to warrant holding them. (Yes, I understand Kane hauled two GW’s back). With perma captain Haaland and budget defenders performing so well, I suppose it’s fine keeping them too in season like this, but they’re not worth 12 million plus imo

Kane is the 3rd highest scoring player and we have an abundance of budget. In this climate, he's worth it.

If we had premium defenders, and 8.0m+ midfielders better than the budget picks then I'd agree, but we don't, so having a big hitter you don't captain is fine for this particular season.

One big week from players like Kane / KDB pushes me up the ranks. I am keeping them, despite every other manager selling KDB for Bruno.

        1. MrJobby
          • 4 Years
          3 years, 2 months ago

Well Bruno has a dgw (likely) then kdb does the week after , Bruno’s fixtures look very good so can you transfer kdb to Bruno this
          Week
Then back for the city dgw after ?

            • 12 Years

That is 2FTs -- 8 points. I will take the risk of going without Bruno. He is not essential, there is no gurantee that he will score more points than KDB over 2 weeks.

I will rather use my FTs to strengthen my team elsewhere, for example Martinelli to Odegaard, Almiron to Mitoma, Mitrovic to Nketiah, etc.

            But to each his own.

Unless there is any chance the allegations are false, it'll be a ban. Look at Trippier and Sturbridge - given 10 weeks and 4 months for being involved in bets against their transfers. If Toney is found guilty of just a few of the many many accounts he is probably looking at a seriously lengthy ban

"I was always Captaining KDB after Haaland’s 90 mins on Thursday so I don’t regret that.

My only decision was really Mbeumo v Nketiah.

If Eddie gets a return, that’s going to sting more than not Captaining Haaland because that’s something I could’ve easily done."

Kulu not in the game. Not getting anything in this match. I can see Richarlison coming on for him....

So, big question on many Mitrovic owners’ minds…

      1. Nketiah
      2. Gnonto

      Got to be 2, right?

Considering this also but not sure I trust a Leeds player apart from Rodrigo maybe

Could not be any more in favour of 1 myself. No idea where this Gnonto obsession has come from.

Prefer 1 unless you're going for the Odegaard & Martinelli midfield double.

Considering a Weghorst punt actually. In games where United have 65%+ possession I think he could be good.

I really want to get Saka but never seem to prioritise the FT. Have Martinelli and White already.

Forgot about Saka, he's not even an option on my budget. Been wanting Odegaard for ages.

I think this might be the week...

the big question tonight on FFS...

will you go for a No.1 or No.2?

          no.2 takes a bit more deliberation 🙂

Funny, number 2 is where I do most of my FPL deliberation

Surprised a bit by the number of votes for 1. Perhaps I’m getting carried away a bit with the DGW.

I’ve owned Nketiah in the past 2 seasons so would be perverse not to have him now that’s he’s nailed. Thanks all!

Am considering bamford, his linkup play with sinestra was nice to watch and hopefully a sign of more things to come. Also lost 500k rank last few weeks and feeling punty

Not sure about Bamford. He’s not a Marsch favourite in the same way he was under Bielsa. Will he even start regularly this season?

There's no way that Goodwin will stay in post given their recent run of results, capped off by that one tonight
