The final match of Gameweek 22 features the only two teams who ‘doubled’, Manchester United and Leeds United.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 20:00 GMT.

All three of Erik ten Hag’s changes this evening are enforced, with two of them concerning players we knew would miss out.

Marcel Sabitzer makes his first start for the Red Devils in place of the suspended Casemiro, while Alejandro Garnacho comes in for the injured Antony.

The one unexpected alteration sees Diogo Dalot take the place of Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back.

Ten Hag revealed ahead of kick-off that Wan-Bissaka is suffering from an illness.

Anthony Martial is absent from the matchday squad with a hip problem, as previously disclosed by ten Hag in his pre-match presser.

Leeds begin life without Jesse Marsch and have caretaker boss Michael Skubala at the helm.

Skubala makes two changes from Marsch’s final line-up, with Robin Koch recalled after suspension and Weston McKennie handed his full debut.

Liam Cooper and Marc Roca drop out of both the starting XI and the matchday squad altogether.

Both players are suffering from knocks, according to their interim head coach.

The TC situation is different this year its not been a Mane v Salah mega swing. TCs can be covered by a normal cap so its only been a 20 point swing here and same will happen with Haaland later down the line

    1. Rainer

      20?

      It's 12 points over Haaland 20 or 8 over Bruno 22.

Halaand has scored more than 20pts in consecutive matches 6 times this season out of a possible 21

    He's also had an 18pter and 19pter

So decent chance he beats 20pts but not a given.

With the near 100% ownership situation it's a bit less meaningful anyway as everyone will at least captain Haaland next week and most had Rashford captain this week.

Bear case = Haaland blanks in two games for 4 points, TC Haaland and C Rashford loses 16 points vs. C Haaland and TC Rashford.

Bull case = Haaland scores consecutive hattricks and max bonus for 34 points, TC Haaland and C Rashford gains 14 points on C Haaland and TC Rashford.

These don't feel like massive swings in point terms in extreme scenarios.

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

What you’re showing has nothing to do with ownership, just the fact that TC doesn’t generally have that big a swing in points. Points total is all that matters with TC, regardless of ownership percentage

What was the deal with Chris Armas in this game? I was not able to watch, but I had heard he was the interim manager - however, from the highlights I was able to see, it looked like someone else was on the touchline.

As a long suffering NY Red Bulls fan, the fact that he is anywhere near managing in the premier league even for a game in enough to make my head explode.

    A) Martinelli to Saka (Have Odegaard and Gabriel)

    B) Fernandes to KDB/Mahrez (Haaland only other City player)

Leaning towards A due to Martinelli's reduced minutes, and I'm really not feeling very confident about City's chances in the next 2 games. Thoughts?

Mitoma has only blanked once since GW14 (plus a missed game). He may very well double in GW26 or GW27.

If you can afford to hold, hold. I won't be selling him this week.

There are a few notable people in the FPL community that say the TC chip is close to useless. Granted, its mis-calculated by many, but if you get it right it seems a pretty effective chip to me.

    1. Witty Pun: Not good at this…
      • 8 Years
      3 years, 1 month ago

It's effectiveness is undermined by people playing it on 2 or maximum 3 different occasions across the season, usually DGWs, so a lot of people reap the same reward at the same time. Instead of getting you ahead, it just keeps you from falling behind.

I think that's the logic anyway

It was in the Mane v Salah battle but loses its effectiveness if its up against standard cappers of the same player. We have not really had 2 equal candidates yet - if Haaland had a double this week we could well have seen a big swing of say 60 v 12 rather than 60 v 40

  29. Eleven Hag

Current DGWers: Saka, Odegaard, White and Haaland

    Which move is better here?

    A) Cucurella ➡ Ake
    B) Cucurella ➡ Lewis
    C) Cucurella + Bruno ➡ Lewis + KDB (-4)
    D) Cucurella + Bruno ➡ Lewis + Mahrez (-4)
    E) White + Havertz ➡ Ake + Niketah (-4)
    F) Bruno ➡ Mahrez

Feels a bit disappointed that I really had plans to TC Rashford this week, but I left it late thinking that it's not smart to activate a chip early in the gameweek, and then suddenly had some major "real life" things that kept me so busy that I forgot to activate the TC and oh well, the gameweek was rolling already. At least I captained him. Oh well, hopefully Haaland can score more than 8 points in the next two...
