There’s a lesser-spotted Saturday 7.45pm GMT kick-off to round off the day’s Premier League action.

It’s a big one from a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) perspective, too, as Liverpool’s Double Gameweek 25 gets underway at Selhurst Park.

The rumours were true concerning the non-involvement of Darwin Nunez as the Uruguayan striker misses out altogether in south London.

His place in the line-up is taken by Diogo Jota.

“Darwin had the shoulder problem from the Newcastle game, worked out for the Real Madrid game but then got another knock there, felt it again and more.

“So there was no chance for today and hopefully he can be [available] in midweek again.” – Jurgen Klopp on Darwin Nunez, speaking before kick-off

Jota for Darwin is one of four changes that Jurgen Klopp has made from the side beaten by Real Madrid in midweek.

James Milner, Naby Keita and Joel Matip are recalled as Fabinho, Stefan Bajcetic and the injured Joe Gomez make way.

The Palace team news is straightforward, as they are unchanged from the 1-1 draw with Brentford.

Despite a return to training on Friday, Wilfried Zaha isn’t involved in the Eagles’ matchday squad.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Milner, Keita, Salah, Gakpo, Jota

Even as a United supporter I feel for TAA. His confidence is shot to pieces as a defender. Every time he's defending he's making mistakes. I dont know if he's just being exposed now or if every mistake is piling up for him. Be surprised if United don't target him at Anfield next.

I see him celebrating in instances when he scores or assists and I wish he'd switch his mindset a bit to enjoy defending more. Hope he comes gets out of his funk sooner than later.

Was never a good defender. VVD in top form was the one who would save him all the time. The issue is VVD has regressed quite a bit.

Trossard is better than I thought and Jorginho is better than I thought. They weren't who the fans wanted or hoped for, but the performances and numbers speak for themselves. They've slotted in perfectly, added depth, experience and flexibility.

Would Mudryk and Caicedo have the same impact immediately? I doubt it and we'll never know, but I'm happy how things turned out.

    1. TheTinman

I am happy we got them both but I also feel Mudryk would have done really well in our system. Potter does not know how to use his attacking assets properly

      1. Arteta
        • 10 Years
        3 years, 1 month ago

Arteta would take him to another level in the future. I'm sure of it. Chelsea have been a complete mess for some time now and Brighton could very well finish above them, which never ceases to amaze me.

    4. El Presidente
      • 6 Years
      3 years, 1 month ago

Yeah maybe for immediate impact it was good but long-term both Mudryk and Caicedo are a class above.

        3 years, 1 month ago

Going back for Caicedo in the summer makes sense. He wanted to sign a month ago and he's still more than welcome to join us.

I don't expect perfection and neither should anyone else. He's gonna play for Arsenal until 2024 or maybe 2025, and won't be a starter for most of the time. If he helps us to win the title this year... the transfer will be justified in less than 4 months.

You’re still right with your original observation though. I tend to think more about what a player in my team hasn’t done than what they might go on to do. General rule for me, although not always, is that if they haven’t provided a result in the last 3-4 games it’s time for a change.
