Who are the best Brighton players for FPL Double Gameweek 27?

Brighton and Hove Albion’s season has been superb so far, effortlessly recovering from losing head coach Graham Potter and the big-money sales of Marc Cucurella (£5.0m) and Yves Bissouma (£4.7m) to currently sit eighth in the table.

Despite selling Leandro Trossard (£6.6m) in January, good times are continuing for Roberto De Zerbi. The Seagulls are one of four teams to play twice in Double Gameweek 27 and Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are expected to pounce on their best assets by Saturday’s deadline.

FIXTURES

Win their three games in hand over Tottenham Hotspur and they could be in the top four, chasing the UEFA Champions League. Therefore, it’s with great FPL interest that Brighton have both a Double Gameweek 27 and a Double Gameweek 29.

These sandwich a blank week, which is irritating, but it’s not enough to stop investment. Especially when there will likely be three more Double Gameweeks beyond this.

Their two immediate opponents are having a tough time. Rivals Crystal Palace are winless in nine games and no team has had fewer big chances in this period, whilst Leeds United have only scored in two of their last seven matches.

Also, defensively, they have conceded the first and third-most shots inside the box since Gameweek 17’s restart. The pair offer prime FPL potential for Brighton players.

TEAM STATS

As does their own team statistics. Although Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have scored more goals since the restart, they’ve also played more often. Brighton actually lead the way for goals per game (2.22) having netted 20 times from nine outings.

    I am strongly considering to go without Haaland on my WC which is active now.

    The main reason for that is because I want both Kane and Salah in my team, so that's impossible to have all 3.

    City play against Palace away which often make us problem, then blank, then in-form Liverpool at home, then another away match against Soton which is apparently City's toughest away day after Anfield recently, then Leicester at home. Brighton away (perhaps I will use FH then) and Arsenal at home after that is also not so easy. Plus, CL match if we get through will be after Soton or Leicester which are both on Sunday and if we get to play on Tuesday night, then Haaland will surely get rested.

    And on the top of that, Haaland doesn't score too much away. I think his days of scoring hattricks are behind him. Even braces should be rare.

    The only problem is how can I watch my team and one of my favorite players and hoping he doesn't score?

      Also, I have too much money in him as everyone else, but it seems like we won't need too much money at the endd of the season. I mean, we all have a lot of money in the bank.

      There's a fair enough case for temporarily dropping him with the doubles/blanks, do what you'd like to do - it's a gamble but not an entirely bad one.

      Just a reminder he's got a very dire Palace squad up next! But that's fair of other players too...

        It's a huge gamble now when I finally got into top 40k. It would rocket me up or down.

        Yes, but as I said, we never played too well at Selhurst Park and we have important CL match on Tuesday too.

        I think Kane at home against Forest and Salah against Bournemouth away are much better fixtures.

    I know March is playing well and all, but come on guys he has been at Brighton forever and never really hauled in FPL. Surely de Zerbi hasn't changed him that much, all the easy chances he misses are the rule not the exception methinks.

    Having said that, he will now go on to get 30 points in the DGW!

      I find it unthinkable to sell Salah ahead of Bournemouth right now, so it's between A and B for me.

      Between Salah and Haaland, 29 fixtures are hard to separate, Haalands fixture in 30 is a bit better.

      I'm going to to keep both and play gw28 with 10 (Rash, Brighton mid) - maybe an option for you which saves a hit?

      If not then Tarko to Henry is a safe move for a hit IMO considering the extra fixtures

        Cheers buddy! No definitely 29, just plan to use FH in that huge DGW, especially when pretty much all other rivals have already wasted theirs.
        Yeah the Henry > Tarko move looks like a safe bet, even with EVE playing in 28.
