We at Fantasy Football Scout are always looking for ways to grow our talented team of contributors and writers.

With the end of the season not too far away (it’s nearer to Gameweek 38 than Christmas!), we’re looking to refresh our team ahead of 2023/24.

Our latest opening has us on the hunt for some FPL Video Support/YouTube Specialist expertise, either via two part-time names or one full-timer.

To apply, email jobs@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk with your cover letter and CV, explaining either your success and experience in driving video growth or your suitability to be fronting FFScout video.

The details are as follows:

FPL VIDEO SUPPORT/YOUTUBE SPECIALIST

  • Contract type: Full-Time/Part-Time
  • Reports to: CEO
  • Location: Work from home

Overview

Fantasy Football Scout’s Content Team is looking for a new high-performing member to support video and podcast growth. We will fit the role around the talent available, to some degree.

There are two part-time roles we are looking to fill, or possibly one full-time role if the perfect candidate comes forward.

Fantasy Football Scout is a small, entrepreneurial company; as such, this role has scope to expand in various directions, and the successful candidate will be expected to help guide strategy along with other team members.

The role

The first goal is to bring in someone who can present and host video for us, organize others to push our video content forward, develop content plans and strategy, and be flexible/available to make reactionary content when necessary. This must be someone with Fantasy Premier League (FPL) experience, ideally proven success on YouTube in FPL.

This skillset must be a charismatic presenter of content who can develop our YouTube channel, and must be able to authentically connect with others quickly.

The second goal we have is to bring in a YouTube/Video/Podcast expert who can help drive our non-editorial content strategy. This requires someone with experience growing YouTube/Video/Podcast/Social channels and who understands the algorithms behind various sites, specifically YouTube.

This person need not have FPL experience but must be able to drive our growth goals forward and work closely with the content creators.

    Brentford and Brighton losing clean sheets again would mean I had a very successful avoidance of DGW fever. I just didn’t rate the gw 27 doubles. Only got two in Toney and Mitoma. Had been burnt in previous years chasing lots of double players from mediocre sides.

      You do realize Brentford has a game in 28 and both also double in 29? It's not like everyone focused on 27 only. It's a game of chance, and if some players get 6 chances where others get 3 - then it's simply a fair strategy - not "chasing double players".

        Well aware of that as well. But still wouldn’t be hanging my fpl hat on Brighton. Which is why I only have one. Plus Brighton will likely blank in 32. More headaches than anything else IMO

          I think you're underestimating Brighton. But then maybe its easier for me to say with FH32 in my pocket

            Maybe so but to me Brighton seem like a very ‘loose’ team. You don’t really know what could happen. Hard to call.

      Risky strategy to self-congratulate when they haven't even played out the DGW yet. Pleasing to see as a triple BHA owner since we all know the FPL gods love to punish hubris

              BOTH clean sheets came in to spite me anyway. Palace started well then couldn't hit a barn door, and Southampton tried hard but didn't have the decent final ball for players to attack. I think those who wildcarded and did the Brentford/Brighton defence made about 20 points on me I got a red overall though but not much of a red.

                Yeah Palace started well, there were a few nervy moments. BHA played some lovely one touch football though. Happy with my returns from Mitoma (C), March & Estupinan 😀

        After Haaland haul I simply can't see Klopp letting him to do too much damage. No idea what his plan is, but VvD should defend against his aerial threat and someone faster (who?) being against him all the time.

      The appearance points alone cover the hit down the line (if it is needed, which may not be the case) and then it comes down to if e.g. Watkins gets more non appearance points in 3 games compared to Haaland's one.

    Best route here? BBing in 29.

    (A)
    28: Haaland -> Watkins (10 starters)
    29: Martinelli -> Bruno (12 DGWers) + spare FT
    30: Toney -> Haaland

    29: Saka -> Bruno (12 DGWers)
    30: Toney -> Haaland

    29: Martinelli -> Bruno (12 DGWers)
    30: Kane -> Haaland

    Kepa
    Trippier, James, Zinchenko, Mee
    Saka, Martinelli
    Kane, Toney

    Raya, Estupinan, March, Mitoma, Rashford, Haaland
    Bank 3.3m, 2FTs, BB/FH left

      Are you really set on Saka/Martinelli - Bruno? I'm not sure about that. Probably smart to finish with Toney - Haaland, might be cutting it fine with the ban (either kind) after GW30. B is closest to what I'd prefer

    Thinking of these moves this week (10 starters), what do you think.

    A. Henry > Chilwell
    B. Haaland > Watkins or Felix

    Current Squad

    Kepa

    Trippier / Schar / Zinc / Henry

    Saka / Odegaard / *Rashford

    *Haaland / Kane / Toney

    Raya | *Mitoma | *Estupinan | *Schar

        Thanks, not sure if I will do both, but I do have 2FT's, good shout about Felix, probably will be Watkins although I do like Nacho man!

        Do you think making the Chilwell move and playing with 10 men will be OK?

          Yeah that sounds fine. I'm slightly worried about Nacho as he's dropped out of the predicted lineup here, but if you don't get Watkins this week I think it might be better to look at alternatives with a better DGW29 (like Nacho, in theory, if he starts this week...)

    Going 10 man this week and getting Fernandes in for Martinelli next week VS doing March to Maddison this week. There is a chance that I will be able to navigate blank 32 with free transfers and save the FH chip if I go Maddison instead of Fernandes because United will probably blank and Leicester will have a fixture.

    Kepa
    Trippier Tarkowski (White Shaw Bueno)
    Saka (Salah Rashford MacAllister Mitoma)
    Toney (Haaland Mitrovic)

    A) Mitro + Bueno > Watkins + James for -4 this GW (7 players)
    B) Haaland + Mitro + Bueno > Kane Watkins + James for -8 this GW (8 players)
    B) Play freehit and take -4 / -8 in GW 29
    C) Play WC this GW

    Planning to BB in 29.

      I think you have a few weak spots to sort out before the BB, probably too many to spend transfers on Haaland hokey cokey. Think I would focus on Tarkowski, Bueno, Mitrovic. Playing FH will effectively cost you -4 (to make 3 moves next week), but your team is very thin. I think I would probably go for B: FH then -8 to remove the 3 I mentioned above. The only downside to this is you'll have to navigate GW32 without FH, when Brighton, Man Utd, Man City & Chelsea are likely to blank. If you think you'd rather FH32, then just A & pray

      Hiring, you say?
      I'd like to be a mod. What's the hourly for that position? If decent we can discuss further in private.

      Thanks.

          Use a FT to bring someone in for Estupinan in order to field 11 in gwk 28 or save?

            My own dilemma, if you can call it that. Weighing that up against both Estup's double in 29 (assuming he plays both after travelling to Australia) and of course the value to an extra FT after an international break. At the moment I'm leaning towards making the move for Chilwell, though will see if he makes England squad first

          Hi all, any thoughts on what best to do here?

          Raya (sanchez)
          Gabriel/trippier/Mee/Botman (estupian)
          Maddison/saka/odegaard (mitoma, rashford)
          Kane, Toney (halaand)

          1 - haaland to Watkins
          2 - halaand to Havertz
          3 - estupian to chillwell

          Suggestions much appreciated!

          I imagine March captainers are furious.

          I'm an owner and I'm furious enough

            I am, ridiculous rule.
            I'm the only one in my main ML who went against the herd and captained March - this decision feels like a kick in the teeth.
            Game is not only luck based but also rigged.

            I blame March owners and captainers even more. The underlying stats and data showed that March was likely to have his returns not be counted in FPL.
