With Gameweek 28 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) almost up on us, five-time top 1k finisher Tom Freeman is here to help with your pre-deadline dilemmas for the next hour.

Whether it’s questions on Ollie Watkins (£7.4m) or Kai Havertz (£7.6m), selling Erling Haaland (£12.1m), captaincy or anything in between, Scout’s Deputy Editor will tackle whatever’s thrown at him.

Tom will be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up.

If there’s time, Tom will also turn his attention to other requests in the comments section.

You can, as ever, chip in with your own opinions on the RMT requests filtering through – and naturally, you’re free to ignore the article subject matter and talk about any other wider FPL topics that you’d normally be musing on.

Don’t forget that, if it’s an algorithmic answer you’re after rather than an opinion-based one, we also have a ‘Rate My Team’ tool available in the Premium Members Area.

Would you go Martinelli or Odegaard on a WC? Already have Saka, and will sell whichever I go for for a Brighton mid in 29.

Depends on your xMins for Martinelli with Jesus and Trossard pushing for starts

    Dawson or Dier?

Assuming you already have Chilwell and Arsenal-defs, I think I'd look at a Villa-defender instead of those. Plum in 28 and double in 29.

Martinelli minutes risk after 120 yesterday?

was thinking Martinelli to Maddison this week instead of next week

      Don't sell Martinelli this week.

Who is taking his place? Jesus unlikely to start and only made 45 minutes. Nketiah out?

He's young and fit, he'll cope

      1. Tonyawesome69

Jesus was likely planned to play 60 mins last night. He was subbed at half time due to making 2 subs in the first half and 1 sub window left in the 2nd half.

        Nketiah is out

Arteta confirms there was no injury issue for Gabriel Jesus. "We decided to do that [take him off] because we had to manage the subs."

Fair enough - I think the point is that a player who isn't making full games is also less likely to start again 3 days later so the threat to Martinelli is not what it is perceived to be

Seems to be pushing for starts now and unscathed from the game last night. I wouldn't rule out a start on Sunday

Currently fielding 10 for the week with Haaland > Kane but torn between leaving it or playing my wildcard.
    Kepa
    James / Trip / Henry / White
Ode / Saka (BLANK Mac A)
    Felix / toney / Kane(C)
Bench: Ward / Estupinan / March / Rashy

Is this WC worthy to bring in Chilwell, Havertz, watkins, maddison etc.

Salah -> Maddison worth a hit?

I like Madison in general and fixtures are good, but his fitness...?

    1. The Mentaculus
      • 4 Years

Not too worried about his fitness really. Didn't even crop up as an issue in this week's presser, and the "proving his fitness on the pitch" statement (last week) suggests he's fine to play through whatever ongoing niggle he has. Doesn't seem to have affected his recent performances

      1. IN SANE IN DE BRUYNE
        • 9 Years

Fair point made! I'm just worried on his fitness overall, as he seems to get a niggle here and there, too often. Bit like Reece James.
Anyhow, is that a yes from you then?

        1. The Mentaculus

Yes! He's also returned in each of the last 3 meetings v Brentford, and I love his DGW29

Love to hear a yes from you.
This will leave me with 11(-8) players IF Schär is playing. If we get early news that he's out I'd probably consider another hit for Chilwell.

    Thoughts/suggestions for this FH team?

    Kepa
    Gabriel Chilwell Trippier

    (k)ane Watkins Toney

    Ward Cash Mee Dasilva

    1. footballcandy

Maybe another keepr than Ward in case Kepa dies or somehting before Chelsea kick off. Ward is likely to be out in 28. So since on FH why not have a backup keeper that is not uncertain.

      Forster in for Ward.
Can you downgrade Mee and get a better midfield backup than DaSilva?

    should I WC this team?
got a decent team this week, and good enough for BB next as is (with a -4 maybe)
but then dont see any other WC oppourtunity as well

    Kepa Ward
    White Botman Trippier Tark Estupina
    Salah Saka Odegaard Mitoma Andreas
    Watkins Toney Kane

the Ward news do make BB a bit less appealing next week though, and it will take a hit to sort it out

Remember there are internationals before 29 as well. You can wildcard yourself into a decent 29 setup NOW, but who knows how things looks a couple of weeks from now.

Better to bet with a -4 than a WC to solve something that isn't an issue before in a couple of weeks.

        1. footballcandy
          • 9 Years

Was more thinking if you in that case have actually maximized your FH on defs/fwds or are you holding back to have a better mid on the bench.

          1. Boss Hogg
            • 16 Years
            3 years, 5 days ago

No holding back, but no Pool, City, Utd this week plus very cheap goalkeeper options means plenty of cash to get everyone you’d want on a FH

              • 9 Years
              3 years, 5 days ago

Fair enough! Then I'd bench Trossard to spread the risk and due to uncertain start/minutes vs. Martinelli/Jesus etc. Øde/Saka are nailed.

If Toney gets a yellow he gets a 2 match ban right.
But what happens if he gets 2 yellows and a subsequent red? Is that also a 2 match ban? 3 matches? Or just 1?!

    1. NobodyF*cksWithTheJesus

I *think* that's just the usual 1 match ban for the red. But not sure if the yellows would affect his total count

        It’s a strange one.
If it’s a 1 match ban for a 2x yellow card sending off then a second yellow card after the final whistle would reduce his ban by 1 match!!!

Bearing in mind i'm chasing in my MLs...who have all WC'd already:

    A) Keep Toney on WC this week. Risk him getting a YC vs Leics (then take -4 for Havertz for dbl), +, if he stays on tightrope going into GW29, take (bigger) risk he gets his 10th in his first double.

    B) Get Havertz this week instead and go w/out Toney entirely until after GW33 + FA ban news.

    1. JonSnow
