The dust has barely settled on Gameweek 32 but the pre-match press conferences for Gameweek 33 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) are already underway.

As ever, we’ll be bringing you all the key quotes and injury updates that you need over the coming 24 hours or so.

Seven Premier League bosses are scheduled to face the media on Monday, with the headline news to be found below.

There should be another seven more press conferences at the very least to follow on Tuesday, including the managers of Brighton and Hove Albion, Chelsea, Brentford, West Ham United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.

The worry is that the head coaches of the six teams playing on Thursday – Everton, Newcastle United, Southampton, Bournemouth, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United – won’t hold pressers until after the FPL deadline is passed. We might not get further news on Bruno Fernandes or Fabian Schar, then, both of them being early concerns for the upcoming Gameweek.

We’ll know what the state of play is for sure on Tuesday morning but in any event, we’ll round up what we know on the fitness front concerning those six clubs tomorrow.

KEY UPDATES FROM MONDAY

MONDAY’S PRESS CONFERENCE TIMES

LEICESTER CITY

James Maddison (illness), Harvey Barnes (hamstring) and Jamie Vardy (ankle) all look set to be available for the trip to Leeds United.

Jonny Evans (viral infection) remains out, however, along with longer-term absentees Jannik Vestergaard (calf), Ricardo Pereira (hamstring) and James Justin (Achilles).

“Harvey Barnes joined in training yesterday, so he’s put himself available for selection. He’ll train again today – if he has no after-effects, then yeah, he’s definitely available.

“Jonny is feeling better. He’s not trained with us yet, so tomorrow will come too quickly for him, but it’s good that he’s back now, feeling better. Madders came in yesterday and did a gym session. He’ll train today, so I would expect him to be available as well.

“[Jamie’s] ankle’s fine. He’ll be training this morning so another one who’s available for selection, which is really good for us.” – Dean Smith

CRYSTAL PALACE

Following the return of Vicente Guaita (calf) to the matchday squad at the weekend, Roy Hodgson hopes to have Nathaniel Clyne (knee) and Wilfried Zaha (groin) back in training “at some stage” this week – but not in time for Gameweek 33.

Nathan Ferguson (muscle) is out for the rest of the season.

Hodgson meanwhile confirmed that Sam Johnstone would start between the sticks despite Guaita’s availability.

“I don’t even know if it’s going to be likely [they’re available] for West Ham, but at least it’s going to be good to see them back in training during the course of the week. But no, there was never any question that they would be considered for tomorrow night’s game.” – Roy Hodgson on Wilfried Zaha and Nathaniel Clyne

ASTON VILLA

Matty Cash (calf), Boubacar Kamara (foot), Philippe Coutinho (thigh) and Leon Bailey (hamstring) remain out, while Emiliano Martinez will be assessed after coming off at half-time of Saturday’s draw with Brentford with a sickness bug.

“Hopefully, Emiliano Martinez is ready for tomorrow. We are going to know, really, tomorrow morning when we are going to meet to prepare the match, the last details. The other players are not players to add for tomorrow, they are now injured, they are progressing well but are not ready for tomorrow yet.” – Unai Emery

FULHAM

Marco Silva reported no new injury concerns ahead of the game against Aston Villa.

Aleksandar Mitrovic remains suspended until Gameweek 36 but Daniel James is newly available, having been ineligible to face his parent club on Saturday.

LEEDS UNITED

Tyler Adams (hamstring) and Stuart Dallas (leg) are still unavailable, while Javi Gracia typically did his best to avoid answering a team news question when probed on potential knocks to Max Wober and Liam Cooper.

“For the next game, we’ll have some players… in this moment, I’m not sure if they will be able to play.” – Javi Gracia

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS

Julen Lopetegui said in Monday’s presser that the injury that Mario Lemina (hamstring) picked up in the defeat to Leicester City is not serious, with a decision to be made on Tuesday morning as to whether he can face Crystal Palace.

The Wolves boss channeled his inner Javi Gracia by revealing that one other player had “a little problem”, without naming names.

Chiquinho (knee) and Sasa Kalajdzic (knee) remain on the long-term injury list.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Scott McKenna will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a fractured collarbone in Saturday’s defeat to Liverpool.

Cheikhou Kouyate (hamstring) and Serge Aurier (unspecified) are nearing a return to training but not quite ready, while Steve Cooper’s assertion that the previously injured players remain out implies that Ryan Yates (shoulder), Jack Colback (concussion) and Gustavo Scarpa (calf) are still unavailable.

Chris Wood (thigh), Dean Henderson (thigh), Willy Boly (hamstring), Giulian Biancone (ACL) and Omar Richards (leg) are long-term absentees.

Saka takes penalties, martinelli is one of the best form players of the season. I only have Saka. But I'm playing him over mitoma

    Hi guys.

Should I bring in Salah and Jota this week for -4 ? (Saka and Kane out).

Or wait until next week and use 2FT to do that or something else?

Yes that was my thinking as well. They've looked decent. Arsenal need a result, fancy Saka to get something so going to roll.

I did Kane to Jota for free this week. Liverpool's away form is a concern, so one is enough for now.

Question: what would you say is ten Hag's favoured back four right now..? Is it:

    1) AWB - Lindelof - Shaw - Dalot
    2) AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
    3) Dalot - Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
    4) AWB - Maguire - Shaw - Dalot
    5) something else?

wk 33 Kane and Chilwell - Jota and Botman (have trippier) -4
wk 34 Saka and Odegaard - Salah and Grealish/Mahrez

Sound like a plan? or do we think Kane and co will fight back and i should leave that one a week?

Would prefer to play Chilwell and bring in Salah this week but he's too expensive unless i take a -8 this week. Grealish may be out the team by next week knowing Pep so want to give myself as much time as possible to make that switch.

that's where I landed at the moment (although hate not having Trippier). I also like Johnstone a lot more than Iverson (who hasn't kept a clean sheet ever). I'm probably starting Johnstone in 33 as well over DDG

      A

      Ive gone

      Iverson - Trippier - Dalot - Botman

But I have Watkins over Isak atm so a bit less cash.

Im keeping a 3rd city space free in case I want to go Salah to KDB

"Fernandes ‘a doubt’ for Tottenham clash

Bruno Fernandes could apparently miss Thursday’s clash with Tottenham due to an ankle injury.

The midfielder came off in the first half of extra time in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton and was seen with strapping on his lower right leg when urging his team on from the touchline.

ESPN now reports that Fernandes could miss to trip to Spurs with medical staff to assess him today before making a decision on whether he can train this week."

Thinking Kane downgrade and getting in Salah is the most logical?

    Bruno Saka Mitoma March (Rashford)

Anyone on WC (BB34) tempted by Alvarez as 3rd Man City (Haaland and Grealish). Forward line of Haaland, Jota and Alvarez. Aim to maximise Man City forward minutes across double, then dump ahead of 36 for a Newcastle.

Not sure if bold and forward thinking, or just plain silly. Genuine question as sitting on fence and keep talking myself in and out of it.

Not on WC myself but I think the things you need to consider are A) if you think Haaland will be hooked early in either game / both games, and B) if you think KDB will get benched in one of the games. Especially if you don't think the latter happens I'd avoid as you could easily end up with him just playing something like 20-50mins

Also bear in mind City's CL SF 1st leg isn't until after GW25, so while it will be a busy few weeks for City between GW34 and GW38, there might not be an urgent need to take Haaland off early / bench KDB as early as during GW34

HELP, really want to get this one right . I'm on a 33 WC before a 34 BB and this will make or break my ML. Template is compelling, but down to one final decision:

    DDG Johnstone
    TAA x Shaw Akanji Estupian
    Salah Rashford Grealish Mitoma March
    Haaland Jota x

    a. Trippier/Solanke. Don't need Solanke except for week 34 when he plays Leeds (great start). Get to keep Trips and all his value. Plan to sell Jota for Isak before his double week.

    b. Botman/Isak. Certainly looks better in a vacuum, particularly with Trips slowing down. Isak will start over March (?) in 33 and Solanke in 34. But lose Trips assist/bonus potential and ML foe has him (of course). Benching headache with 8 great starts up front.

    help appreciated.

    Salah and isak

    DDG
    Trippier Chilwell Estupinan
    Rashford Fernandes Grealish March Mitoma
    Haaland Kane

Raya Isak Botman Henry - 1 FT, 1.7M ITB, no chips left

Taking a really early look at my team, this is an easy save for GW33 right? 2 FTs look really valuable for DGW34 to bring in some Liverpool players.

Call me crazy, but my plan is to bench Haaland this gw, start Martinelli, Saka and Odegaard and captain Martinelli to boot. I'm chasing in MLs

Not just crazy. There’s no logic to it at all. You’re benching Haaland to play who?

You’ve basically gone template minus Haaland. There’s no upside.

I benched Haaland a while ago when City weren't playing too well and were up against a side that had been quite tight defensively recently, and City had a tight turnaround so I thought he may get a rest after returning from injury not long before. He scored a hattrick and was subbed off before 60mins so it could have been way worse.

      Good luck.

I saw some odds sheets showing Chelsea much more likely. Wouldn't be surprised if it ended up 0-0.
