Having started each of Brighton and Hove Albion’s first 31 league games, Solly March (£5.3m) was benched in successive matches against Manchester United and Everton.

Things only got worse against the Toffees, with the Brighton winger pulling his hamstring after his half-time introduction.

March’s fitness status for Gameweek 36 hasn’t yet been confirmed by head coach Roberto De Zerbi, who was coy about the injury post-match.

The timing for March’s 1.65 million Fantasy Premier League (FPL) owners is terrible should he be ruled out, as the Seagulls are about to have consecutive Double Gameweeks.

So we’ve opened up the question to Scout’s comment section – if injured, who will you replace him with?

ANOTHER BRIGHTON MIDFIELDER

Best Brighton picks for FPL Double Gameweek 27 4

“Have March, Mac10 and Mitoma, so am eyeballing Gross…. Buonanotte seems like a punt too far and I already have three from Newcastle. Don’t have enough in the bank to make a -4 for Estupinan interesting” – Brooklyn Gooner

It may seem like a sideways move to bring in either Kaoru Mitoma (£5.6m) or Alexis Mac Allister (£5.5m) but the extra matches, combined with their cheapness, makes it very logical.

Mitoma is already in 86.48% of the top 100k squads but blanked in five matches before assisting Mac Allister’s consolation goal versus Everton.

The latter also headed against the crossbar, a further suggestion that moving backward into central midfield hasn’t limited his attacking threat too much. No player has taken more shots than Mac Allister since Gameweek 23 and, when analysing more recent times, only Erling Haaland (£12.4m) exceeds his 18 since Gameweek 31.

FPL notes 13

Above: Goal attempts between Gameweeks 31 and 35

Being on penalties also adds to Mac Allister’s appeal, although those wanting both Brighton’s fixtures and some differential potential may instead opt for Pascal Gross (£5.4m).

A set-piece taker with two recent goals against Wolverhampton Wanderers, only March has created more chances for the Seagulls since Gameweek 29 and the German ranks third for expected goal involvement (xGI).

JOELINTON (£6.0m)/JOE WILLOCK (£4.7m)

It's not close imo. The priority is to get the best Brighton asset because they play 4 games. MacAllister is better than Enciso by far in terms of expected mins plus the pens.

But it also means the inferior city pick for xMins and he’s been poo last couple I wonder if he even gets the Everton game

I'm confident he starts Everton. Very confident. I think Alvarez is on par with Mahrez and Foden for xMins over the next 3 games.

I would actually prioritise your City option, and even go with just 2 BHA if necessary. 1 extra fixture but ars/new and City... FWIW I'm doing March - Mahrez for triple City attack. Down to just Mitoma & Estupinan (bench) for BHA now

I don't agree because the option is MacAllister who is playing at 10 and is on penalties. That is premium FPL material. Just get him and rest easy.

He hasn't played at 10 for a number of weeks though. He's still been playing well and is still a threat from deep but with it looking like Veltman will be out for a while yet the only way we'll see him at 10 is if RDZ plays Gilmour with Caicedo

Is Mac Allister back to no.10 playing in the hole without March etc on the wing?

I know he was in a '6' when they started against Everton but that didn't work out.

His heat map is second most advanced (after Mitoma) and most central after they changed it up too.

I'm not sure, he tends to be moved up to the position late on in most games after subs are made, especially when searching for a goal. He still moves forward a lot when he's in the pivot hence the good positioning in heatmaps so he's still a threat for sure

Probably just C but this is asuming big rotation from Pep around CL. given the title race is still live not sure on Alvarez mins

Personally going with just 2 brighton this week and moving Mrch to Willock as suits my structure better for second Newc attacker to be a mid

    Trippier Estupido Guehi
    Mahrez Saka Mitoma Salah
    Haaland Kane Alvarez

    Raya White Moreno Andreas

    1FT
1.Moreno to Botman (play instead of Guehi)

    3. Any other ideas?

Not too hot on those ideas, as Saka is a good starter.
Also, Guehi has a decent fixture and Newc defense is not too hot, so Double is not for me.

Team is good, but for newc cover you would have to sacrifice someone valuable, like Alvarez to Isak.

A, other one is tough. Rashford has been in pretty poor form, 2g 3a in 10 games, but fixture is solid. Would probably err on side of caution and say Jota but if I was chasing I'd bench Rashford, Leicester are atrocious and were so open in their last home game, they have to go for it in every game now too

Have never posted on here before, but could do with some advice (apologies if this is not the right area).

    My current team:
    Steele (Iversen)
    Trippier Botman Shaw AWB Trent
Rashford De Bruyne March Mitoma Salah
    Haaland Isak Greenwood

I really want to get Fernandes in for the Man Utd double so need to lose 1 Utd, need to get rid of De Bruyne to free up funds, and (presumably) need to lose March. I also worry whether Steele is nailed (with Iversen as back up - not keen on him starting!). I have 0.3 in the bank and 3 FTs.

    I am thinking:
    A) De Bruyne, Steele, AWB - Ederson, Estup, Fernandes for a -4 (still leaves me with March, transfer out for McAllister next week)
    B) De Bruyne, March, AWB - Fernandes, McAllister, (defender not from United, Brighton or Newcastle) - still leaves me with Steele
    Maybe AWB isnt a problem?

Do we still think Steele is nailed?
Is AWB likely to play both United fixtures in 37?
    Is Fernandes 'essential' for 37?

      Firstly - welcome

I don't think it's worth all those moves just to get Bruno in - his recent points are average at best. Most are looking to get KDB in next week so I also fell losing him would be a mistake.

    2. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 5 Years
      2 years, 11 months ago

I would keep KDB personally, he's been playing a lot better of late. I think Steele is nailed and will be fine, it was one bad game but he wasn't helped one bit by the defence and he's important to how Brighton play, and he had a great game just days before against ManUtd. Wouldn't be sure on either of AWB or Dalot, if Varane returns against Wolves then those two may be fighting it out for RB if Shaw gets to go back to LB. Bruno is definitely not essential, 1g 1a in 10, ManUtd not exactly free scoring either

Which of these would you prefer for DGW37+38?

    A) Stones, Grealish, Bruno (+1FT for a GW37/38 punt)
    B) Stones, KDB, Bruno (no Salah for GW38)
    C) Grealish, KDB (no Bruno, but have Salah for GW38)

I think A will probably be safest for minutes (and keeps my FTs for other moves), but I can't help be tempted by KDB. He's been playing so much better in recent weeks and tends to end the season strongly. I'm just a little unsure on minutes with him especially after the CL SF 2nd leg. I think Stones is still a solid option and has previous for good DGW performances, but I can't say I expect clean sheets in those games (definitely not Brighton anyway), but he's a big threat from setpieces and even in open play currently. Grealish is still looking threatening and I think both fixtures may suit him.

Obvious moves are March to Mac Allister and/or Watkins to Isak (or Wilson) this week - have 0.9m ITB. Is 37 best for FH - load up on DGW players then scramble through 38 along with everyone else? Have made solid progress since w26 wildcard. Want to keep the momentum going...

I'd be totally focusing on getting in Newcastle players this week and ignoring Brighton ones if you are FHing in 37

Thanks Jarvish. Yeah, I guess I'm transferring in players for 36 and 38 this week. Can add more Brighton in my FH. Cheers...

Given you only have 5 doublers for DGW37, it probably makes sense for you to FH then. But you could instead use your transfers towards that (like March to MacAllister) and save it for GW38 for some punts if you wanted to take a chance and feel that 6-7 doublers will be enough for DGW37

Thanks. I was initially keen on the idea of punting in 38 just for a laugh, but because of March injury etc, think max-ing on Man City, Man Utd, Brighton in 37 makes most sense...

      FWIW, I'm captaining Trippier.

His barren spell has to end at some point.

    Kepa
    TAA, Trippier, Botman
    Mahrez, Mitoma, Martinelli, March

Any ideas about risky move to chase the league? Rival has double Newcastle defence, so not considering Schar, Pope is still an option

Isak + Wilson is a differential option (for my league), not overthink and go for this?

Don't bother with the keeper switch.

Go for double Newcastle attack at Leeds and with Brighton at home.

They've been cracking them in for fun recently until Arsenal rocked up.

    Steele
    Trippier VVD Shaw
    Salah Rashford Mitoma Saka martinelli
    Jesus Haaland
    (Raya-Watkins-Mings-Young)

    A. Watkins - Wilson or Isak tonight?
