If Rashford is injured…. Bruno out for a hit or just play Isak and roll ft, I’m torn at the moment. Bruno would also be good for last game of season I guess. Cheers all.

Is that question right? Are you suggesting that Bruno's output would be diminished without Rashford and hence you would take him out for a hit?

Or do you mean you'd do Rashford to Bruno for a hit?

Sorry yep my bad. I mean Rashford out for Bruno for a hit. Opps

Cool. In that case, Rashford if definitely out (bearing in mind second game is probably the better fixture for him) then I can see the hit paying off and 38 is a nice game too. That said, a Newcastle striker Vs Leicester is not a bad choice if you just bench Rashford

Yeah tough one cheers. There’s not much definite info coming out about Rashford eh. And I could very well be priced out. But as you said, Leicester at home could be a decent fixture

Is it worth -4 to change any of these to a DGW player - trippier (LEI), Trent (AVL) or Isak (LEI)? Thanks

Can’t afford to replace Rashford with any of the city or United doublers for free if he’s out this gw. Are the Arsenal mids still worth it with (nfo, WOL)? Trossard looks especially nice if Martinelli out

Rash - possible sell if still injured

Just realised City don't play until next Sunday while Arsenal play away to Forest late on Saturday. Arsenal fail to win there and City effectively have the title without even playing the first game of the DGW. Might be even more of a rotation minefield than we're already expecting

    1. fusen
      • 14 Years
      2 years, 11 months ago

      According to the BBC

City will win the Premier League title next Sunday in front of their own fans if they beat Chelsea at home (16:00 BST), even if Arsenal defeat Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday (17:30).

However, City will be confirmed champions without playing on Saturday if the Gunners lose at Forest.

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        • 5 Years

A draw for Arsenal will effectively be enough though with City having 20+ goal difference over Arsenal

    2. Royal5
      • 14 Years
      2 years, 11 months ago

I'm not taking any hits for City players. It's a minefield.

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        • 5 Years
        2 years, 11 months ago

I wasn't even looking at hits but now I'm possibly completely changing my entire plans now. I wanted to bring in KDB and was possibly bringing in Bruno but was also thinking of leaving it, but now I think Bruno is a cert. I'm very likely avoiding KDB and might not even get another City asset at all. I could roll into GW38 so I can have a punt as well as bring Salah back, or I could go for Mahrez or Alvarez, really unsure now though

    3. NATSTER
      • 15 Years

A heavy rotation is really possible then.

    4. g40steve
      • 8 Years
      2 years, 11 months ago

But you have to make decisions Sat am, I can see Forest holding or beating Ars at home.

Hauland wants the records & the rhythm is kept by playing.

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        • 5 Years
        2 years, 11 months ago

While I agree and Pep has been clear about rhythm before, I saw someone earlier saying City may field a pretty strong side v Chelsea, rotate heavily v Brighton, strong side again for GW38. That way it would be a full week between each game for most including the finals

The only thing in owners favour is momentum - they can't bench their stars for 2-3 weeks until the FA cup final, they'll get rusty. But it could be a minefield and threat of rotation is high. Main issue, does anyone start both in the double?

If Rashford out thinking Kepa Rashford to DDG Grealish/Gundogan - 4. Sound sensible or not?

    A Yes
    B No

It's not like Kepa is a great option with two games Vs Manchester clubs where they are strongest and entertaining Newcastle on the last day. I think DDG outscores Kepa so it's more about the value of using a FT for it (or if the -4 pays off, which I think it would)

    Early transfers thoughts:

    Rashford fit:
    1. Save FT and start Isak
    2. Trippier to City Def and bench TAA or Isak

    Rashford out:
    1. Save FT and start Trippier
    2. Rashford to Gundo/Grealish/Mahrez
    3. Rashford to Garnacho/Antony

    1FT 0.4ITB
    Ederson
    TAA Shaw Estupinan
    Salah Bruno Mac Rashford Mitoma
    Haaland Isak
    (Kepa Tripper Botman Greenwood)

Lucky I had Lindelof as first on my bench but didnt think KDB and Stones were both going to get a full rest. What to do with city players now? And also need to do something with Rashford. 1FT, 1.5 ITB, what do yous think of these moves?

    A) Rashford > Antony
    B) Rashford, KDB > Fernandes, Gundo/Mahrez(-4, dont really like this I know but not much other dgw choices)
    C) Rashford > Arsenal mid

    Kepa
    Trent, Shaw, Estupinan
    Salah, Mitoma, Rashford, Martinelli, Grealish
    Haaland, Isak
    (Raya, Trippier, Botman, Greenwood)

Thinking of Raya & whichever of Martinelli or Rashford is not passed fit to DDG & Bruno.

Or if both mids out, then both out to Bruno & another mid (probably Mac A) and hold keeper.

Definitely think you should use it GW37.

      Problem you have is:-

City - Rotation. Even the GK isn't safe.
      Chelsea - are rubbish
      Brighton - rotation
Man Utd - Main man out.

Could do Bruno. Depends how risky you want to be. Could do someone like Foden who probably needs minutes so might start both.

      Its difficult one!

    Original plan was

    37 - Salah to Fernandes

Rashford complicates it. Now keen to keep Salah for 38 as think I can lose Haaland for Kane (I want to captain Kane in 38).

It's the FA Cup final 6 days after the Brentford game that may impact Haaland's mins, not the potential UCL final on the 10th June

I would hold the Transfer until we have a better update on Rashford.

      A
Would be pretty season killing to bring Gundo in for a hit before hypothetically getting injured in the UCL while Rashford is fit to play both games

Is Gundogan going to play both? Not sure.

From the sounds of it, Rashford should be back for at least the second game of the GW at home to hapless Chelsea.

Have we got more updates on Rashford?

There isn't enough info to suggest when Rashford will be available

        Yesterday's quote from ETH:
“It’s not my focus point in this moment. I hope [he will be back soon]. Of course. And he will do everything that can be done. The medical staff is working hard on it, but I am focused, and my team are focusing, on this game.” – Erik ten Hag on Marcus Rashford

I hate owning double Newcastle and double Brighton defence. It means I cannot really watch the games since only thing I am hoping is them not conceding.

Here I am again on Tuesday rooting for 0-0. I am thinking about skipping watching - it's like being behind the sofa because of all the players playing.

Can't believe I benched Estupinan hahahaha kms. Not even first on the bench so he could come on for Rashford either. Season over
