      Looks pretty good.

      Like the Ødegaard pick.

Do you think Wisa will be on form? I'd want some re-assuarance that he is.

      Who's on the bench?

This is what I've got to, going to wait a week now. What looks beat/worst in this mix?

    Verbruggen (or Steele)
    AWB Saliba Estupiñán
    Salah Saka Eze Rashford Foden
    Haaland João Pedro

Forster. Henry Gusto Simms (or another £4.5m)

    £0.5m itb.

    Thanks

I like the team all the way through now (with no Spurs defence). The only critiques are more like "what if.."s e.g. if AWB plays only the tougher fixtures, if Pedro is on the bench where do you go with that forward spot...

    1. Fulham
    2. Palace

    1. Andy_Social

Depends on further incomings. If Fulham go in with Raúl as their main striker, they're in trouble. If Palace don't bring in someone for Zaha, they're in (slightly less) trouble.

Zaha gone, Olise injured and a possible transfer target. Eze refusing a new deal amongst more transfer unrest.

Fun Salah & Trent draft if you like the 6.5M mid price point.

The more I look at it, the more TAA seems overpriced for the sacrifices he requires of the rest of the team. Mind, I've had him in my squad for most of the preseason, but it's just so much better balanced without.

Think if you're going to risk a City asset, you'll want a more explosive one. I do think owning Foden is great until you may need to transfer him out. Alvarez going to play more than people think.

Who are your current differentials? Say, below 20% ownership.

For me it's Gabriel, who only just squeaks in at 19.7%, Pickford, Jackson and Buendia. Maatsen on the bench for now. (Baldock and Mubama too, but they're filler.)

Once upon a time they used to say a diff was less than 7%. Not sure who “they” were or how they came up with that number. Under 10 is more a diff than 20% imo. Anyway the only ones I’ve got under 10 are Chilwell and Wissa

just a fun note, my friends--my team name this season is Peter Rabbit Bunnies; the name derives from the fact that a local rabbit sometimes visits our front lawn, sometimes during the day and even sometimes at night, and we call him Peter Rabbit!

        Not yet.
Diaz a slight safer at left wing for now.

Gakpo vs Nunez yet to be decided. The new midfielders might also influence this, as Szobo/MacA for instance can mean Gakpo is not so needed, and Nunez can be more relevant.

How come? They've been playing it with Bradley inverting while Trent covers DM. Using the system even without the key player for it at RB sort of suggests to me that it'll continue

I think it might be clearer after the next few friendlies. It might be something they try against the weaker teams. Liverpool's run in wasn't the most difficult last season and it allowed them to make the adjustment.

If Darwin keeps taking his chances, then he might be a good option. Gakpo started in the middle behind the CF in the last game.

352 seems to have a slight advantage over 343 right now or what?
For me, all the decent 6.0/6.5 mids swing it towards 352.

Watkins looks a wonderful option this season, if he stays injury free he should be a set and forget in a great looking Villa team.

Jesus over Martinelli for me as he is easy to move to the Chelsea/Pool forward that fires, Nkunku Jackson Gakpo Nunez etc

This makes 343 the best option for me at the moment.

Too many eggs in one basket? Taking trent out really does give a lot more funds to play with.

This is the team I am happiest with, setting my team up with nailed players with good fixtures for the first 3/4 game weeks and leaving myself enough ITB for anyone that comes out firing. Monitoring Chelsea and Pool, can easily get Chilwell Nkunku TAA Salah Gakpo etc unsure on Stones and Foden.

      Onana
      Gabriel Estupinan Tarkowski
      Rashford Saka Mitoma Mbeumo
      Haaland Jesus Watkins

I prefer being aggressive out the gate and WC into the template. The early weeks are an opportunity to get ahead from good preseason homework and smart punts. You can course correct after.

I think Chelsea are clearly underpriced because of their awful past season so it makes sense to take some smart punts on them hoping to get on board some good bandwagons ahead of GW3 and their fixture swing.

Haha that's the opposite to me, I prefer to play it safe, last season i took a couple of smart punts and they failed leaving me playing catch up from the off.

One or two of Chilwell James Nkunku Jackson will become a good option but who knows which, with those opening two fixtures I see no reason to start with one of them.

Like it. My current draft isn't too different.

        Onana 4.0
        Gabriel Estupinan Chilwell 4.5 4.0
        Saka Martinelli Rashford 7.5 4.5
        Haaland Watkins Nkunku

Nice but I don't think the Chelsea boys look good until GW3. Love the Martinelli pick. I think Foden could be gold this season at 7.5 but for now Mitoma and Mbeumo have insane fixtures.

            • 10 Years

Yeah, Nkunku is a maybe. If one of the Liverpool strikers looks more nailed then they're an option. Also not sure about Onana.

Chilwell would probably be benched GW1 for my 4th defender. Tarkowski could be an option or I could look at Stones if I go for Mitoma over Foden in midfield.
