      Mbuemo in definitely is.

I could see Richarlison starting to score but as he is a midfielder not a striker, there probably are four better.

After a decent start, I reckon it's a good play to get Mbuemo in. He's clearly the focus point of that team, on pens and has great fixtures. Rich was a punt and looked poor today.

I’m tentatively keeping. He was poor today from what I saw but he’s still a nailed 7.0 OOP in a Spurs team that don’t give a toss about defending. Utd next and Onana is a wildcard.

If I had a spare 0.5 ITB I'd sell him for James this GW. As I don't have any money ITB I'm keeping him until GW3 and if he is benched again in GW2 then I'll use 2 FT to get rid and get James in

Definitely hold. I expect him to start next week, albeit to concede

If I played wildcard I would get rid of him, but I have Vinicius, Archer and Enciso who didn't start so have two strikers to address first.

Not finding a way to get Haaland and Salah in, people got away with it today because of an offside but it was so very nearly mass panic.

They were so rigid in their 352 formation & fixation over the value of the 6.5s that they didn’t explore other paths.

I think I stumbled on to a stunning 442 with both & Rash, Chillwell, double Arsenal mids, Pedro, it hit 74 with 2 to go so I’m happy that the structure will hold up, I doubt they even opened their mind to explore it.

Agree. With Pedro instead of Watkins and a standard team I had 3.5 itb. Almost forced to go Salah over Bruno. Downgraded Martinelli to Maddison for the 0.5m.

I just don’t understand how they struggled to get their head around it, a random hit or miss 6.5 mid v a ‘premium’ & solid 5.5 defender is all it took after Pedro became a punt worth taking.

Salah hit the woodwork & had one ruled out, could you imagine the panic if those went the right way? Almost gutted that it didn’t.

Funny how all 5.5m got goals this week. Edouard, Pedro and Nketiah

Did the same, but with 3-5-2.

I will either keep Salah after GW2 & bring In James for 5.5 (have Gusto and Chilwell already though) or Sell him to upgrade Pedro in GW3/4 but Jackson didn't look great.

There is no reason to go for a 3-4-3 though.

I did what FIRMINOOOOO did basically. Worked out well considering i was on a kane draft and saw Maddison basically playing along side him

Made a risky (probably pretty bad) move to BB GW1 knowing I'd use WC for GW2 unless all worked out in some dream scenario.

77 points with Shaw, Bruno and Rashford to go.
Gabriel, Udogie, Stones, Pickford not returning, and here I am.

How does this look for a GW2 WC team (obviously gonne try to get 0.1 out of Isak before deadline, and checking up on that James potential injury).

    Turner
    James - Chilwell - Henry
    Salah (C) - Rashford - Saka - Maddison - Mbeumo
    Haaland - Pedro

    (Sanchez, Baldock, Osula, Kabore)

Might go for the riskier Richarlison > Maddison due to OOP. Would give me another 0.5 to play with.

    Any thoughts?

16 points and would have had a different team for next GW obviously.

        Pickford - Johnstone
        Stones - Shaw - Gabriel - Estupinan - Udogie
        Saka - Martinelli - Mitoma . Bruno - Rashford
        Haaland - Pedro - Edouard

        Vs.

        Pickford
        James - Estupinan - Shaw
        Bruno - Rash - Ødegaard - Saka - Martinelli
        Haaland - Pedro

        (Turner, Baldock, Mubama, Kabore)

Gained 16 points on BB, but used a chip and looking to use my WC now.
Obviously my WC team could be ahead of other teams and make the gap bigger come GW4

      See how Rashford is tomorrow.

But if you sacrifice him you can get Diaby in midfield and play a 3-4-3 with a forward line of

      Haaland, Isak and Pedro.

      I'd definitely do that.

I wouldn't double on Chelsea defence, so I'd have Estu still over James.

Fair enough but with so few clean sheets I wouldn't double on any defence.

Salah also hit the bar, close offside goal and that's a penalty last season.

Why not Isak upfront, the guys electric with a sublime touch.

He'll be fine, Newcastle will beat Liverpool at home and give it a go at Manchester City.

Sanchez is cheap and can work as a triple up from GW3->. Hard fixtures is where Turner will have a go. Like Estupinan > James for GW2, but that is about it.
I actually think Brighton looked pretty poor defensively against Luton.

I like the Isak pick no matter what. Not for next GW, but Richar/Maddi is not great for next GW either tbh.

Think this game would really get shaken up if players like Salah were reclassified as forwards. Unsure why they're not to be honest...

Yes me too. It does not seem as interesting as the other FPL games I play with Salah as a midfielder.

Richarlison as one is even more odd.

If you put all wingers as forwards the midfield options would be useless. You’d be left with Odegaard, Bruno and not an awful lot more.

I consider Salah, Rashford and Richarlison more of a striker than Saka or Grealish say, who I would keep as midfielders, but I may be wrong

Sky and Sportsdeck have them that way.

        Yes, of course.

I love Palace more than football and FPL, but it has been 44 years ( i got hooked in 1979, when my Dad took me to my first game. Palace beat Bobby Robsons Ipswich 4-1) and we went top of the league for one week (in September). t The team of the Eighties (as was known) was soon ripped apart after Venables and the Palace chairman sold all the players (like Kenny Sansom, and alot to QPR then jumped ship mto QPR. I was 7 on debut, and 8 when that happened (although i didnt understand it),. But supported thick and thin, in the "dead" 80's until Ian Wright and Mark Bright came on the scene in 1986/87 season. Reasons to be hopeful as a kid, and we moved away, so I was the only Palace fan at school. Stuck to my guns 🙂

Midweek UCL games after GW5 for Newcastle as well.

FPL is a game where elites are getting involved in real life refereeing/VAR decisions to ensure the template does well. This ensures the content makers and their models continue to succeed so they continue to grow, succeed and make revenue while anyone who goes against the grain fails to succeed, no matter how smart they are. Here are some examples of this from gameweek 1 alone.

    1. Andrew Mears “conveniently” leaking Gabriel starting just 8 minutes before the deadline.
    2. Mo Salah (not in most experts/elites teams) having a goal wrongly overturned for offside and not getting a chance for a pen when for a Jackson handball.
    3. Joao Pedro (template in experts/elites teams) getting a penalty for tripping over himself).
    4. Blatant Forest penalty (Declan Rice handball) not even checked by VAR to try and ensure Saliba’s clean sheet points stay intact.
    5. Newcastle players weren’t in any FPL “experts/elites” teams nor were they advocated for at all by them. The elites therefore advised the Prem to introduce the rule where two people can’t be on the touchline at once - believing Tindall was important to Newcastle and this rule would hamper them.

Its been that long I didn't know how to post.
I have popped back in due to recent BBC interest( yes i know its been discussed).
I was one of the original posters with Puffinboy, Necromancer and the like when FFS first popped up. I actually didn't use it for advice in the old days as it was mostly talking sh#t and no one cared. The site was originally chit chat with FPL as a distraction. Some posts would take days to reach 100 comments.
I watched it grow and grow and grow and then it became stats, charts, advice and subscriptions and everyone started talking about rate my team.
I jumped ship but I have always used this as a go to site for season ticker and scout picks posts.
My point:: Mark is a business man and I think I was offered 50% back in 2008 for £20 but I thought it was risk. He sold it and its been took over, good on him and wish him well. FPL has 8 million players now ( and counting) so its got a new direction and if I want a pair of blue shorts and matching t shirt i can get the link from FFS. My point finally, is that I don't like the betting links that have come prevalent and BBC where spot on to highlight it. This site should be fun and informative but if you now come on for advice on FPL you get hit with by betting offers and gambling which is a worry. Gambling is an addiction so promoting it on a FPL advice site is wrong and please don't say ' when the fun stops, stop".
FFS have not commented and they still have links on now and for this I am out after 14 years.
i did buy the blue shorts and blue t-shirt for my Benidorm trip though.
    Adios.

      Nice.

I had akathisia at 35, (which is torture)just from a view pill of an SSRI in 2008.

I had it 5 year and had dystonia for 7, which needed a deep brain operation.

I was a director for a small comapny, designed software for decontamination and sterilizers in hospitals/Pharmaceuticals. I didn't write it as i say, just designed it.

      (I do part-time research at http://www.akathisiaalliance.org )

I flew but then after 2010 without working, i was let go with a 25k pay off. I invested 50% with a friend in a florida condo in 2012, for $71k. It is now worth 250k.

The company was sold last year for £6m and i had a 27.5% share before being let go (or voted off with an offer/ take it or leave it).

Thank you for helping to start this.

I played yahoo since 2013 (then Fantrax), then FPL for the last 5 years.

I think they have some content filters now where you can filter out sponsored articles etc.

It's all about the money now in FPL. People making livings from it as full time jobs, who would have thought that 14/15 years ago? People used to just contribute as a hobby back in the day.

I remember Mark done a stellar job keeping this a community website for a long time, preventing subscription fees for a long time. Eventually small subscription fees were added but this was as an alternative to taking on all the sponsored material. These days we seem to have an every increasing numbers of posts advertising and affiliating with mostly gambling related companies.

I'm not knocking this site or anyone either. People are 100% entitled to make a living from FPL. I've been a member since the start and still enjoy visiting the site, although just don't have as much time to post anymore! I can even remember the old match day chat rooms and the mayhem there, used to be a great laugh! It would be great if subscriptions fees and some none gambling related advertising and sponsorship was enough.

Wait and see how Bruno looks tomorrow. But of those, probably Mbeumo and then shift Richarlison to Maddison at a later date.

Pedro but only as everyone else seems to have him. Not convinced he will do that good and get rotated once the El starts, but for that money, it is easier to have him.

Other than that, your 2 and a second Man City player but again not sure who yet.

What a shite comment. You don’t rate him and think he will be rotated, but you recommend getting for fomo?

      Mbeumo and James.

Gonna cheat and add a third player though if that's okay... Isak. Will probably switch Watkins to him after this GW.

Yeah I think it’s the fear of him mate and knowing what damage he can do, I have a clear route to get him for a hit this week but trying to resist(Bruno and Martinelli to Salah and MDW) as my plan was to start without him for as long as possible really and see what happens

Think you may be about to lose Kitching & Styles. Strong rumours tonight that around £5M of the Hamer money will get the deal over the line.

Probably not. I think Arsenal's defence is better. James may have the edge in assists, not goals.

At this point, James also has the edge in appearances.

Any point in playing Turner over Onana next week? Sounds like something that may end up terribly...

I'm strongly considering it. I think Spurs will score and Sheffield United looked toothless yesterday.
