    Who would you bench GW2?
    A- B. Fernandes (vs Tot)
    B- Richarlison (vs Man U)
    C- Martinelli (vs Cry)
    D- Watkins (vs Eve)
    E- J Pedro (vs Wol)
    F- Jota (vs Bou)

    Cheers

    Afternoon 1 and all.

I have a predicament in GW2. I stupidly chose 2 Luton and 1 Burnley asset and they blank this week and have Gabriel.

As my bench is now not playing what would you do?

    A) Switch 1 bench asset to Balldock for cover
    B) Play Gabriel - No chance he is benched again
    C) Gabriel to Saliba - we love a sideway transfer
    D) Something else - Hit me with the suggestion.

    Thanks

I actually thought spurs defence looked alright against Brentford especially in the 2nd half and that was without Romero and donkey Sanchez

1st half he was the worst player on the pitch easily.
2nd half not bad but the bar was so low from the first. I think if Romero stayed on they would of won

Brentford had stopped playing and still managed to create a big chance they should have scored from. That defence is shocking, don’t kid yourself.

I'm with you. They didn't create anything for him against Arsenal and Sevilla. No KDB, Mahrez, Gundogan and now Bernardo Silva is a doubt too. Are the likes of Kovacic, Foden, Alvarez and Grealish going to supply enough against a strong Newcastle team?

      1. Andy_Social

I share the same concerns. I went with Haaland over Salah last week and I have to stick with my decision, but I'm pessimistic. After that, the next 5 fixtures are too jammy to forego.

At this price we have to judge fast.
Last season holding salah before the WC was a bad move, the signs were there to move away. Closing stages of the season he was back to himself.

This week is the one that could hurt the most. Grealish, foden, palmer - these are the three on duty. Dont fill me with confidence

City is a pretty good team still, Bernardo will be back Kovasic now starts getting better in the team he still has Grealish who can create chances for him and Alvarez starting is good for him cause now defence has to deal with 2 goal scorers. I expect lots of goals in City Newcastle and pretty confident about Haaland scoring

1FT + 0.5m ITB -- leaning towards holding and hoping Gabriel plays.

    Chilwell -- Estupinán -- Gabriel* -- Mings* -- Baldock

    A) Hold FT
    B) Gabriel -> Saliba
    C) Mings --> Gusto

      A
      Or C

Gusto for an injured player is often worth it in isolation.

      It looks like Gabriel starts.

He's only been benched 1 in 72 so the balance of chances are that he plays.

      1. The Count of Monte Cristo
        • 13 Years

Agreed, that's what makes Gusto appealing as it's an empty spot anyway and gives a bit of extra £££.

However, I am expecting Gabriel to start too, but not expecting huge things this week from Arsenal defence.

people seemingly shocked at Maguire sticking out a contract where he would make more money than he would at west ham (but will obviously play less). its like we just cant let go of this image of a footballer we have in in our heads-the one who loves the sport and where playing for his country is the pinnacle of his career - even as the whole game changes around us with greater and greater speed every season. it is a job everyone would love but its also just a job and one with a very short shelf life.

    Current GW2 team:

    Turner
    Chilwell Gabriel Estupinan
    Bruno Rashford Martinelli Saka Mbeumo
    Haaland Pedro

    Johnstone / Udogie / Archer / Beyer

    3.0 ITB

Had been planning on rolling the transfer to have 2 for GW3, potentially as part of a mini wildcard if needed/wanted. Had liked how much I had in the bank to potentially facilitate a swap to Salah this week though. With United having struggled against Wolves, does this seem worth it to get Salah in now that we've seen a bit of what the 6.5mil MIDs have to offer?

Bruno + Martinelli to Salah + Mitoma/Eze/Diaby (or even Bowen...?)

    Thanks.

Would you play Colwill ahead of Gabrial? Also have Chilwell.
