We thought that Chillwell was competing with Cucurella, it turns out because he is playing left wing he is competing with all Chelsea players who can play on the left wing, which is a lot.

You do know tactics and positions change based on the player right? Just because Mudryk replaced Chilwell doesn't mean Mudryk was playing LWB.

Chillwell was playing left wing, he was replace by Mudryk who replaced him of the left wing, that is my opinion, even if Chillwell was not technically playing on the left wing on the team sheet it does not matter because the entire game he was playing on the left wing therefore he was playing left wing.

I was kind of mad at those positive pre-season predictions for Chelsea. There were absolutely zero indicators for such prognoses. They have been buying trendy players with inflated prices, and without real analysis for their tactical and strategic needs.

Whoever rates their management model is either a biased fan or has come to know football only from video games. It represents financial doping, which was the basic problem that led to the creation of FFP rules, that clubs agreed to, and are now looking to bypass.

Any football romantic should be cheering that a model with such disregard for financial health will fail. I think Liverpool got a little carried away last week, and should’ve been looking for 3 points.

I disagree. Watch Simon Jordan on talk sport who explained it clearly how Chelsea are able to do what they are doing and able to stay within FFP. You also forget the players they have sold and got off the wage bill. Not a Chelsea fan but Boely know what he is doing

My argument is much bigger than just FFP, obviously they are within their rights in that respect.

Boehly knows how to buy and he has good lawyers, but he doesn’t know how to run a football club.

Boehly is one fool. He buys random players and sells everyone he pleases. Chelsea won't even reach top 6 this season. Nkunku was by far their best player and he is injured before he Even played a minute

They just finished 12th and have had 4 managers in 12 months. And their transfers have been scattergun, no-one can argue against that. Simon Jordan did explain it but he also explained how it will backfire if they don't start getting results and getting into the CL

In an interview Havertz (whatever you may think of him, he is a professional) was asked about their bad performances, and he responded: How are we supposed to build our chemistry, if today in the dressing room I sit next to this player, and tomorrow next to another one.

I can’t find the interview, and I’m not 100% it’s true, but you should understand why such policies will not work in sports.

FFP was a side argument, there are many problems I see in modern sports, from labour rights and player health, to salary caps, money being poured into it carelessly, involvement of politics, even mafia and many others. And in the future we’ll need to demand some willpower from the regulators to address them. And personally I think Boehly is a bad contributor.

haha good twist. The positive is that they’ve brought a lot of young prospects, but my issue here is these always take time, which Chelsea are not used to offer. And there’s a mountain to climb from last year’s standard.

Parisse is making a lot of sense here. There's another aspect that I've not seen much. Chelsea is buying a whole lot of young players on ultra-long contracts. Building for the future, it is said. So what does that mean for the academy. They've sold mount and are about to sell Hall and Gallagher probably, and there's no prospect now of academy youths breaking through.
In the previous regime their academy was notorious, hoovering up young talent across the globe and never playing them, exemplified in Lucas Piazon - ten years at the club and ONE appearance. It leaves the club with an identity of sorts, but no soul.

On a separate note, I see problems at Man United, with players not fitting ETH's system. Mount is a poor fit, but the worst culprit is Antony, who is 100% ETH's man, compelling the club to vastly overpay for a player who is too limited for what the club needs.

Spot on. Piazon was a perfect example of their previous talent hoarding, which resulted in mass loaning of players and an unbearably big squad. At some point they owned Salah and De Bruyne and failed to see they could’ve been world class calibre.

Isak for me. Playing catch up already and the higher upside IMO.

Not worried about Isak only getting 60 minutes

60 mins against Liverpool or 90 against a parked Sheffield bus? I'll go first option.

It was everyone 3 hours ago.

It's not complete madness but he's not proven.

I still prefer Isak myself. Or Alvarez. With those fixtures Alvarez has to be a strong option.

So far he gets a yellow every game and despite in good positions, doesn't score. I dropped him for the time being and want to see at least another game before I bring him in

I’m still likely to do Watkins to Jackson.
Jackson is giving last season Nunez vibes but points are definitely there for the taking

Need to do slight adjustments, what would you do?
    A) Mbeumo and Alvarez
    B) Foden and Wissa
    C) other option, maybe someone from Villa?

People say it's not good Chilwell being subbed after 60 min. I thing the opposite - clean sheets odds at 60's is better than in full 90 min.

Here your point, but as Chelsea only starts playing after around 30 minutes it doesn't matter.

    Which one?

    A) Wissa (no mbeumo)
    B) Alvarez (got foden + Haaland)
    C) Jackson (no chelsea)

I have similar thoughts, but from your options I would go for A) as you''re already covered with City strikers

After 20 minutes of deliberation, I've stuck with Pedro > Jackson.

The man has to bang with those fixtures at home.

I still need to get Mbeumo and if i sacrifice Rashford i can get him and uprate Simms to Alvarez/Isak with Pedro 1st sub.

Should i hold or do it later this week?

Need to watch Saka and Eze tomorrow first.
