I'm having a dreadful season and my only players in this game are Chelsea defenders, so seems likely.

Alright for the bus team. Would u play

    A) Udogie (bur)
    or
    B) Gusto (NOT)

    1. Zimo

I'm leaning Udogie but I've never had all 11 players at home before so I'm tempted to go Gusto just cuz it looks so clean

He spends a fair amount of time in the opposition half spaces. Son and Kulu tend to stretch the opposition while he and Porro/Royal move infield up the pitch

Yea, he always up there, but I didn't really see him do anything. I will keep an eye on him this weekend, see if he actually does anything, because im not convinced lol.

I think they have enough money on the pitch, it is ok if the bench is light lol.

Even Chelsea's starting XI is bad tbh. Its basically Everton with Chilwell. How this squad cost a billion pounds I will never know.

Nine injuries, plus they also sold 14 players 1st team players

I'd guess Onana, young and raw but clearly a talent. The difference of course is an insane prince for a defensive midfielder. He's cost 4 times Salah or something. Even if you calculate with a 10 percent it is ludicrous. Mind you though, their creative (and completely legal) accounting is probably the only way to compete the dictatorship funded clubs. A shame really.

Hah I didn't realise what the context that RDZ's comments about Ferguson starting tomorrow was.

Reporter: "Fans are excited about Evan Ferguson and obviously João Pedro coming in this season, maybe with Julio's injury do you see them potentially playing together?"
RDZ: "Tomorrow Ferguson plays in the first XI"

Maybe I'm misreading but feels like that's a big nope to that question 😛

Manager definitely isn't Pedro's biggest fan

    2. Deulofail
      3 years, 1 month ago

If you watch the video, the meaning shifts again*. It's like he simply doesn't want to give any clues regarding the question, so gives some relevant information, which may answer this or another questions. I'm 50/50 about whether it "means" he will start or not

*funny how the source is the last thing I see after a journey of discovering the meaning of the source

    3. The Mentaculus
      3 years, 1 month ago

Benched him when I saw that. I think generally he seems pretty earnest with the press so I doubt this is strategic / misinformation. I don't really see Welbeck being dropped so even the declaration that Ferguson starts (without context) had me edgy over Pedro again

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        3 years, 1 month ago

I only saw it now but might have made the transfer then or started Andersen over him had I seen it earlier. Maybe I'm misreading him like Deulo says above but he generally seems to be quite open about stuff like this

        1. The Mentaculus
          3 years, 1 month ago

Yeah that's what I thought too. Shame, it was a promising debut but seems like we can't even really rely on him to start 'most' games

      2. Deulofail
        3 years, 1 month ago

What is earnestness though? Would it not be earnest to say Fergi starts and omit whether Pedro starts or not? If he was earnest to that standard, maybe he would be earnest enough to say that Pedro doesn't start this time round?

We'll see, but at least I can't be wrong by not picking a side

        1. The Mentaculus
          3 years, 1 month ago

I guess I mean the antithesis of Howe / Cooper, whose information is pretty much worthless as they don't seem to want to give any team news away; more like the Bielsa 'I'll show the teamsheet' type. So in answer to this question, I think he might have just told us if both were starting together & I don't think naming one is some kind of strategic ploy. Too simplistic? I mean, I never really paid much attention to this stuff before FPL & I've made a few errors in this area before

Was about to buy Trippier with my wildcard today but I have left it until the fixtures turn. Have the funds ITB for him.

        1. have you seen cyan
          3 years, 1 month ago

          I do have him lol.

Brighton is not a great fixture, but I think I will play him over Saliba who has Man U. Not that I expect ManU to score much vs arsenal necessarily, but Trippier is on set pieces so that's enough for me.

          1. have you seen cyan
            3 years, 1 month ago

tbh, I'm not sure if I would buy Trippier if I didn't have him. Probably not. I'd probably look at Shar or Botman instead maybe.
