Newcastle United host Liverpool this afternoon in the final match of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 3.

Kick-off is at 16:30 BST.

The Magpies, who finished fourth last season but lost twice to Jurgen Klopp’s side, are unchanged.

That means Harvey Barnes and Callum Wilson are on the bench again, with Miguel Almiron, Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak preferred up front.

As for Liverpool, Diogo Jota is a substitute as Klopp makes two changes to his starting XI.

Ibrahima Konate misses out with a muscle problem, with Joel Matip and Waturo Endo coming in.

GAMEWEEK 3 LINE-UPS

Newcastle United XI: Pope, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn, Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton, Almiron, Gordon, Isak

Subs: Dubravka, Livramento, Lascelles, Targett, Barnes, Anderson, Murphy, Longstaff, Wilson

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Endo, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Salah, Diaz, Gakpo

Subs: Kelleher, Quansah, Gomez, Tsimikas, Bajcetic, Elliott, Darwin, Doak, Jota

  Depends.
Gusto looks a steal at his price.
Trippier obviously another option, but maybe a week or two early.
A city mid if you don’t mind them conceding most weeks to the only shot on target against them in the whole game

The Pedro/ Jackson/Alvarez hype swayed me to a 343...

352 definitely the way to go with effectivly only one forward aside from Haaland...need to correct asap

Question is who is that other striker? At the moment you could see most of the 6.5 midfielders outscoring the 8m forwards. Very little value in those strikers again

Trent needs to follow Gabriel’s example he did at Arsenal. Needs to do a squat on Klopp’s desk tonight and lay a big fat turd! That way he can be benched forever aftermore!

I know James is more injury prone than a dyspraxic acrobat but isn’t he due back in a couple of weeks and Gusto back to bench warming duties? Also assisting goals has not been a regular thing for him: 1assist every 10 matches if memory serves?

May be wrong but he seems risky

I promoted Udogie to the pitch this week, with Saliba transferred to Botman. It was a bit early for a Newcastle player but they rotate pretty well and Newcastle seem to be a match for anyone and Botman seems good for baps. Wanted Anderson (cpl) but not so good rotating with Spurs

Nothing lucky about it, the 75% of FPL managers who don't have Salah know they're football, Salahs finished lad and definitely not worth 12.5 mill maybe 7.5

Not lucky at all. Just a wise decision. Despite scoring 230 odd points last season, he hasn't looked his usual self. Clearly on the decline from an FPL point of view.
